    Biggest thing about this blade that makes it stand apart... it feels like a fighting blade. An extension of your hand. Yet still performs big time in the woods. I don't find many big blades I can say that about. Kinda the way a BK9 feels, but bigger. Not something everyone has to run out and buy, but when the price is in the upper $200 range, it's videos like this you help you understand what you are getting before you drop that coin.

      big fan chris! you're spot on with the big blade analyses. you convinced me to get the schrade bolo. my fave line was bolo means big Ole chopper offer! I like it better than most of my very expensive blades. it holds an edge too. keep up the good work my friend. ✌ p.s. get a custom blade that you designed and sell that thing. call it the Chris's all purpose slasher. C.A.P.S. just an idea. peace

    Hey Tac ,
    People certainly live in a dream when considering " high quality " .
    Speaking for myself , I own a few Zombie Tools and personally , without any doubt , they live up to their slogan .

    Another awesome video. Yes the Z.T. are expensive, but you get what you pay for. You know their tools will last longer than we will, so pony up and enjoy some quality. :)

      I wouldn’t call these expensive in the slightest. Definitely a great value for what you get. Due to inflation these days, you can find these for $300. Still a great value for the quality and craftsmanship behind zombie tools products. The wait time though sucks.

    It is a nice blade and another outstanding video. After watching Chris with it at the Blade Show and his review I was interested. I have been looking forward to you getting your hands on that blade. Your testing matches how it looks. I too was wondering about the leather wrapped handle. Did you come up with a rating number?

    • @marcrhodes7177

      that's a Lotta cheese but it's frickin nice. should have a better steel for the price. if it was a hundy less I would buy it but I don't think it beats the cold steel warcraft 12 inch. that's a beauty.

    • @GuyInAHotdogSuit69
      @GuyInAHotdogSuit69 8 років тому

      Marc Rhodes True, make it $200 and make it out of 01 tool steel or A2 and that's a pretty good bargain, or switch the steel to something like 3V or S7 and it should be worth $250 or maybe the price it's going for now. I also think that micarta scales would be better than this weird leather-wrapped aluminium handle.

    • @GuyInAHotdogSuit69
      @GuyInAHotdogSuit69 8 років тому +2

      Alexander Moffitt Well, I wouldn't say that it's shit, it looks like it's made pretty well, and the materials aren't terrible, the design looks cool and pretty functional, though it is radically over-priced, I totally agree with you there.

    • @johnnydoe4179
      @johnnydoe4179 8 років тому +1

      Bullpup92 I didn't mean that the blade is shit, it looks pretty badass and I'd definitely add one to my collection if the price was better like $150 or so. I mean it's shitty how it's so overpriced.

    • @preparedmind101
      @preparedmind101 8 років тому +2

      Why? Plenty of people do that. Factory edges don't last. I think it's better to show what it CAN do. Anyone buying blades should know how to sharpen. Lot of great blades that come with subpar edges. I've been told through the grapevine that Busses don't come super sharp because people do the crazy abuse tests. I want to know how sharp I CAN make it. That speaks to the blade geometry. Something like the Gerber Strongarm or Schrade SCHF1...they have steep geometry and are VERY difficult to get really sharp. Only way to know that, is to sharpen it.
