Great presentation (as usual). I really like your concise and to the point delivery of information with your videos. Can't wait to see your recorded footage of Alpha 21...whenever that will be. 🤔🤔🤔
Thanks screaminz :) I won't be streaming as such, but will bring recorded footage. I did actually clarify that with the moderators. They said the devs keep referring to a "streaming" weekend, but use the term loosely, so recorded content is also fine for the weekend.
Part of me is happy to see the dev's working and bring new updates to 7d2d. Part of me wonders when they are going to finalize the game and move onto another game.
Thanks Caballein Well, most of the ones I have done do have more difficult monsters or a story with more difficult monsters. So, that would be Age of Oblivion, Darkness Falls, and Apocalypse Now. They all have their advantages, though Darkness Falls has the most difficult end game content. Age of Oblivion has the most comprehensive story, at least for now. Apocalypse Now, doesn't have a story, but the monsters become more difficult as your gamestage increases, but not as difficult as Darkness Falls. It has a more difficult start than darkness falls but not as difficult in its end game. Age of Oblivion is a very different experience from both DF and AN. The monsters are more difficult at the start and definitely things can be tougher. However, once you start getting the special elite weapons Age of Oblivion isn't that difficult. I think overall, AOO isn't that difficult in the long run, then AN, and finally DF is the most difficult endgame. Of the other two, Joke Mod, once you get the hang of it at the start with the different mechanics and features, it is pretty easy. Version 3 of JM is coming, so we will see how things change. It is supposed to change a lot. Then there is Undead Legacy, but the main difficulty in that is the huge depth in its crafting, mining and slower progression system.
@@SnowBee perfect thank you for all the info! I am amazed at how good the mods are. It’s crazy that the Funpimps don’t incorporate or hire some of these guys. 🤷🏻♂️
Still staggers me how little this game costs considering how much replayability it has particularly with the remarkable mod community. I love that this is a solo title too as some of us can't be reliable for online sessions (health doesn't permit me to quite frequently). Downloading the 7d2d mod manager is essential indeed.
Why'd you wanna put a medic inside a church? Eww. So if I get it right, they made POIs shinier and performance was improved only by having less blocks in POI. Also that visible stuttering when shoving almost any POI... I just see whole lot of shinies on the outside and inside remains untouched. I'm probably just too sceptical about this update but at least I fed the algorithms another comment :)
Well, I always appreciate the algorithm butt kick. :D Think of it this way, an example they gave: A large room, and inside you have a couch. Now that is very long and tries to make up for the massive room being, well, too big for what is inside. Now, that room is smaller and they would have a normal size couch and a few other assets. The room looks more populated and realistic, and overall fewer blocks were used to make the same room. Doing this to many POI's, well most of them, means a performance increase. Windows also use fewer resources. However, I hear you. They said the A20 changes to POI's and all the new tiles would be fine for performance. In the end it got a lot worse from A19. So, seeing and playing is believing.
@@SnowBee As I wrote it looks better and the better performance seems to be only increased by decreasing number of blocks, which is nice if it looks better but the fix is at the end and not at the beginning. I'm also not denying the update was a lot of work, I just feel it was done on wrong places...
That overpass intersection tile is so cool. I could see myself actually building a house outside of a town's limits for something like that.
Hey Gronal!
Yeah, you are correct. It means more POI's and probably ones at concrete level outside of the towns.
I am hyped. I wish it was out today. 😎😎😎😎
Thanks snowbee for the update
Sure, no problem :)
Glad you are going to be giving us content over the streamer weekend.
Thanks Marie
WOW, I think I have been wrong about how much has been going into alpha 21. Definitely a lot of work. I am so looking a forward to the update now.
Yeah, I am very much looking forward to A21 now. I do not like learn by looting change, but I am sure hyped for the overall update.
Hell yeah!
Hell yeah! :)
Great recap video. Honestly one of my favorites for this dev stream
SnowBee! good work, thx 🙂🙂
Great, thanks Rocky.
Thank you so much for condensing and putting the new info into a video for us! Your videos always have a nice flow to them.
Once again, thanks Kitty :)
Glad you liked it.
Thanks snowbee for the update news.

Yeah, some say May is a bit too optimistic, even if TFP indicated it will probably be.
Killin it. Thank you good sir. Can't wait for your stream.
Thanks screaminz :)

Thank you for sharing 😊
Thanks for stopping by Potato :)
Sigh, snowbee, you have been really wanting this update now.

Yes, a few years ago alpha 20 I think was supposed to be the last. Now it looks like alpha 23 is maybe going to be the last.
Looks amazing
I agree :)
Lekker video man!
Thanks Deeramazing :)
Thanks
Snowbee. Thank you for your content. Quick question. What are your top 3 overhaul mods that include some sort of endgame content? DF, AOO, etc.
Thanks Caballein

Yes, certainly, mods and vanilla have been going strong for such a long time.
anything that makes the game look less overly saturated, less cartoony, better lighting/shadows, and zombies that don't look cartoonified
What do you think of the current zombies in Alpha 20?
i can't wait for A21
Yeah, one or two things I may not like, but really, overall this update is certainly looking good.
