Much respect to Mr. Nishioka! A true legend in his own right. We should also give shine to the great Jesse Glover, a champion Judoka and Bruce's first student in 1959. Jesse went on be one of Bruce's best fighters.

@@counterstrike89 Would love to train with Nishioka Sensei again. He is a wonderful teacher and martial artist.
People like him knew first hand the abilities of their friend. It won’t matter to them what people who never trained with Bruce Lee say now. I’m grateful to have met many outstanding martial artists who were great on their own yet found it valuable to train and learn from Lee. They would not have done so unless that experience was valuable to them.

According to John Little the Bruce Lee historian, not once that his name appeared in Bruce's day time diaries, didn’t even have his phone number. Those who were on the set like Van Williams say that it never happened and if Gene did grab Bruce like he claimed, Bruce would not let that happen. You would think that if Bruce learned from Gene for a year there would be proof of some kind besides from just one person.

@Joan Stone. Matt Polly spent seven years on his Lee bio
Btw he also wrote American Shaolin..recently fought mma after two years.
Anyway Polly has best research. Wong top man Chin was there. Chin was the broker for the fight. Chin confirms accts of Linda Lee and James Lee. Wong lost..running from room to room.
Later, Lee friend drove to San Francisco Chinatown to gauge mood of the big fight. Dead. He knew then that Lee had won.
Also Bruce kept his school open.
Also James' son recalls his dad and Uncle Bruce came home in a good mood.
Also excellent info on channels Kung Fu Genius and John Little.
