- Wil and Langdon Reid, cousins who collectively comprise the duo Grandstaff and sons of Harold and Don Reid of the Statler Brothers respectively, wrote and recorded "The Statler Brothers Song" as a tribute to the Statlers to surprise them prior to their induction first into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame and then the Country Music Hall of Fame. The song is included on the Grandstaff CD LIVE AND WELL and the video will be included on the forthcoming DVD LIVE AND WELL.

A fitting tribute to the Statlers. It is a shame there is no room in country music for acts like the Statlers any more. They truly were one of the greatest.

I love this song!! I was raised up listening to The Statler Brothers. My Grandparents and my parents has watched The Statler Brothers on every Saturday night( I couldn't wait for Saturday nights). Great song!!

I saw Grandstaff at the Ernest Tubb Midnight Jamboree in May. It was awesome. They had Jimmy Fortune on the show with them and then after the show Wil and Langdon came out and signed autographs. They sure look and sound like their Fathers'. This sure is a great tribute song.

I could listen to this a thousand times & never get tired of hearing it. I met the Statlers in Staunton, Va many years ago, & have been a lifelong fan ever since. The very first CD I ever purchased was one from the Statlers. May this kind of music go on forever ! Sincere thanks, guys !!

Oh my GOSH! I could have sworn Don was singing lead on this incredible tribute song. I've been a big fan since the '70s and they will always be a favorite. How fcould the not have been featured on the PBS Country Music series?

Man, I love these guys, they are sooooooo awsome. I was a Statler fan as a preteen and teen when it wasn't cool and got teased a lot but I didn't care. I have always loved the Statlers and I love these guys too!! Keep up the good work!!

Wow what a great song. Great harmony. Love how they put the Statlers Song titles in the lyrics. Nobody can out do the Statler Brothers not even cousins but what a great duet. Next generation of traditional country music as they follow in their fathers footsteps. Hope to hear more of them. My hat is off to great music and I don't even wear one. Such a great song about a great group. This brings back such good memories of times past. I grew up on the Statler's music and love to hear all the old songs that they recorded. Keep up the good word and record some more songs.

Raised in the 60/70's, I was quite familiar with the Statlers even though I was raised in the NYC area. Always was impressed. Saw the Gaither show and man, those guys were excellent.I could tell these two young men were Reid's. This type of country probably would never be popular to the masses but that is no reason not to make music that sounds this good.

This is a Great Song! I appreciate the "LOVE" that WENT into this CD! It did take a lifetime to collect these Pictures as A Teenager I have Several Others! They are a little frayed on the ends ! We Grew Up Enjoying several concerts! WE ALWAYS GOT Lost getting to Your Concerts But That was part of the FUN! I realize Now The lack of Concern about Our Safety ! However,we were Focused on One Thing! They gave Us Memories that will last a LIFETIME as well!
