Hey thanks for posting this, and thanks to the other commenters about doubling up on the gaskets. I replaced mine on my '68 and it took about 15 minutes!

Good job bro. I was starting to round off the nut on the line out of the pump and now I know I need a flare wrench , thanks

Very good, detailed, informative video. I need to change the fuel pump on my 1965 Mustang “named for the World War 2 Fighter - P-51 Mustang. (P means Pursuit aircraft). Thank you. A viewer from the Rockey Mountain State of Idaho. 👍🏻😉🙏🏻✝️🇺🇸🙏🏻✝️🇺🇸

I'm changing mine in a 69 mustang with a 250 six cylinder. I just changed the plugs and they were JC Penney!

I'm with you, Ray. I'm working on a '65 Falcon/ 200 ci engine, which was the base platform for the Mustang model back in 1964. Doing the cooling system, fuel pump, carb. - the works.

Recommendation: When it's time for a new battery, consider getting one with the posts reversed. I don't like the POS post right next the the body sheet metal. I switched mine.

Yeah I don’t like it either when I’m removing the battery I always hit the ratchet against the inner fender making sparks

Good job, enjoyed watching the process. I have a 69 mustang, 6 cyl, 250 ci. Is there a pressure regulator in the system?

Did mine, came with two gaskets. I thought it was a mistake, I was leaking fuel and thought the pump was bad. Exchanged it and the same thing. Then my stupid ass put both the gaskets on and no leak.. lol. Felt pretty dumb.

@@autoraysgarage8938 napa auto parts. I even commented before I watched the video lol. I was thinking watch him talk about the two gaskets lol.... your engine is a 200ci right? But we have different years so there probably are some slight differences.

I have this 200 six in my 64 Ranchero, actually the engine is from a 66 Mustang, rebuilt to factory specs, nothing complicated, but is hard starting, but still runs well once it is lit, might be a problem after sitting a while. I'm looking at the fuel pump for replacement, exactly like the one you have here. I will do the old fuel squirting test first, though. Also looking at the carb rebuild its a1940 Holly, and I saw your vid on the rebuild too. So, did the fuel pump fix the/any starting/running issues when you decided to rebuild the carb, or the other way around? I replaced a fuel pump on my 64 Comet recently with a 302 and had to bump the ignition a few times before it slides in, did you have that problem too with the install of the fuel pump in the 200 six? Any way thanks for your postings, very good stuff on a car like mine, I actually think the Falcon is the "daddy" of the Mustang, so I hear. Like I said the engines are identical on each of ours. My Ranchero has many Mustang parts on it, including the dashboard/gauges which fit right in the aperture with no mods!! LOL ;D

Do you know what would be the issue if when I changed my fuel pump the gas gauge now reads full all the time. I changed out the fuel sending unit and still reads full. Now I’m thinking working but have no clue where to start.
