Gen 4 fans will always disagree but the reason so many people skipped Gen 5 initially is because Gen 4 burnt them out. They’re fine games, but so long and kinda meh at parts that when they announced Gen 5 people were tired. Everyone that started with Gen 4 still had the energy to keep going, but for anyone that started before Gen 4 got grounded to a halt. Plus finding out it was a third fire/fighting starter in a row definitely left a bad taste in their mouth before they could even consider playing a game with all new pokemon. It was just the burn out from Gen 4 that people instead associated with Gen 5. Black and White's post-game is a great time! I was also surprised as a kid by just how much there was to do here, and even with everything you covered, there's still some things you missed out on, like battling Gamefreak's Morimoto in Castelia, catching Hidden Ability Musharna in the underground of the Dreamyard, and Hidden Ability Darmanitan in the desert, and even a few legendaries like Landorus! As for Bianca, I *believe* you can fight her on weekends, but because of her work she may only be available at nighttime? And you have to have beaten Alder, but you've done that. Glad you returned to see the rest of what Unova has to offer, Black/White and Black2/White2 have some of the best postgames imo, up there with GSC/HGSS (even if BW2's requires a lot of unnecessary faffing) (hope people don't get mad about you saying "catching more legendaries" with volcarona on screen 💀 guys come on, who hasn't made THAT mistake)

The Abyssal Ruins have a step limit, so not everything can be collected in one go, but getting everything there is well worth it. All the relic items from there can be sold for over one million. As for how to get through it, that's a bit difficult. There first floor's exit is at the middle and must be reached fast enough to be opened. The second and third floors require HM moves Strength and Flash to be used against certain wall blocks to move them. The most valuable relic item is located on the top floor and sells for a crazy amount of cash. Fun fact: this place actually serves as a minor side quest during the post-game of B2W2, in case you haven't done it there yet, giving you some interesting background lore regarding N.

As far as growing up on b&w2 we were def right saying they were better cuz I also recently played through this postgame and still somehow felt underwhelmed😂
Something interesting about BWs postgame that I've not heard many people talk about is how much of a jump in levels the trainer fights have you go from fighting N and Ghetsis who have pokemon in the low to mid 50s to the average trainer being around mid 60s. I actually think this was a very intentional decision on Gamefreak's part however, as a way to encourage new players who may have started with Gen 5 to try out the old gen pokemon that became available, as a lot of those new encounters can be caught around the same levels as the trainers, giving players an easy way to bridge the gap. Or maybe I'm just overthinking it idk.
I grew up as a fan of pokemon (I'm 24 now) and my first ever pokemon game was Pokemon Black. I have Gen 5 in a special place in my heart because I have so many fond memories and fun learning the pokemon games and getting that special experience as Gen 5 as my first ever pokemon game. I got the game back when it was released when I was around 11-12 years old for my birthday I love this game so much and still play it today. I just hope the Gen 5 remakes coming in 26 will be just as good as the original and done right. Current Pokemon games are almost too far away from what they should be and the quality is terrible. honestly it's fine for the story but it's really lacking anything to give it longevity besides the super trains on the battle subway. you visit each town once or twice and talk to the sages and then you don't have any reason to go back to those places. going back after b2w2 there's no PWT, no white treehollow, no join avenue, and like half as many pokemon to catch and areas to run around in. you get maybe 5-10 hours of content and then you may as well just move on to the second game
Who at Gamefreak was behind the level curve of the Trainers you fight after Ghetsis? By the time I had reached to N, all my Pokémon were in the mid Lv 40s. I know you're speaking about B&W(which i'm glad about btw), but I just wanted to mention how much little content was added in B&W2. A good amount of it though depended on online & passerby features. Which reminds me that I heard something interesting in that they announced the shut down of online services for B&W2 a year (give or take) after launch. Because X&Y was expected to get more attention so who would be playing B&W2 after that right? 🥲 it's a bummer. If we get remakes I hope they keep nintendo's online services going for a good long while. It sucks not being able to get all the medals if you wanted to. I also hope they bring back all of the cool side & post content available in both games if they do remake them...including the medals please! I wish we had collectible achievements in newer games like S&V. I would 100% try to collect them all if available. It can't be too hard to add something in game like that right? I feel like it'd be easier in this day and age to figure out what they are and do the ones that require other people. Though it would be nice to have achievements you can 100% without online and then some that do need others but won't affect you technically collecting all the others. Since you get an achievement medal for collecting all of them, make that one available without online and a different medal for collecting all the online ones. My comment was long sorry but am I alone in wanting achievements in Pokémon games? 😅🎉
More of the passerby content is available in single player than most seem to realize. The entree missions like the item collection challenges can be played single player, you'll just be competing with your own high score as opposed to competing against others - and you'll have a smaller amount of Power boosts available as a result of not connecting with people from another game. The Join Avenue is fully functional solo as well, as the amount of NPCs that visit and want to open shops are reliant on your own achievements in game, they just spawn more frequently with other players. White Forest/Black City is the main thing that hurts without other players, though there is still content there if you finish the game fast enough (the amount of trainers/wild pokemon and items are based on how many days it's been since your last visit + how many other people you've interacted with irl. The countdown starts when you start a new game so if you take weeks to finish the game then they'll be ghost towns until you connect with others). The key system is the other major issue, but that's specific to BW2.
i remember that BW (or B2W2?) allowed you to litearlly check out other players' games' worlds using entralink, but they appeared grayish for some reason and were seemingly empty. imagine if in the potential remakes, there were paradox pokemon appearing in these worlds depending on the game version of the explored world (black has future paradox mons cuz it futuristic, while white has ancient pokemon cuz it's old-timey) after beating the league. that way there would be a reason to actually explore other players' worlds instead of just playing stupid pointless minigames. there would be paradox swords of justice appearing in the same locations where they appear in BW, brute bonett would appear as fake pokeballs on route 11, iron valiant next to nimbasa ferris wheel etc. etc.. i think this could finally resolve what paradox pokemon are like 5+ years after everyone already forgot about them and make the remake appear more fresh since pretty much every game since oras had some plotline about alternate timelines
