You have this in America as well? My grandma used to make these kinds of things from boiled and hand-mixed grapes and berries. She'd pour the liquid on cutting boards and lay them out in the sun to dry. We call it Tkhlapi here in Georgia (in the Caucasus, not the US state). Great video, cheers!

Where do you store them, refrigerator? And how long do they keep? Great video, thank you!

Months usually. The stuff you get in the store has a lot of sulfur and other preservatives

Have you done a video on just plain dried fruits?

I just dehydrated pineapple with mango and it was delicious! Next time I’m adding applesauce to fruit because the applesauce has a lot of pectin in it which will help thicken it up. My pineapple/mango was very thin and some of it was hard to get off the fruit leather trays. Next time I would use parchment paper on the fruit leather trays. Great video thanks!

Very practical way to preserve lots of food relatively quickly. Gotta love those big dehydrators. Will be putting our Excalibur to use doing this soon. We just finished four full batches of jalapenos last week.

Don - interested in knowing how long you can store your roll ups if put in a jar with the air removed? I am totally into dehydrating and storing in jars (have done a ton of various fruits and love to have them to munch on, but the leathers sound interesting too, if they have longevity) . Good video!

I love that you didn't cook it as other recipes before dehydrating!

what type of dehydrater do you use and how long did it take to try enough? can it be dried to much? thanks for yet another great video sr

I put a link to the type of dehydrator that I have in the description--- I found one with analog controls instead of digital controls--- if something breaks I can fix it and not have to try to find the digital control that fits. I dried overnight and since it is high in sugars I don't think it can be over-dried , mine remained sticky.,

@@donaldporta I completely agree with you on analog over digital.
