The wrong version of this video got uploaded to the channel, hence why it had to be taken down and reuploaded. My mistake! Luckily it was caught moments after release, instead of a few days later.

I dont see what the big deal is with finishing the story at least once before having everything unlocked. They worked hard on the story and cut scenes you should have to see it once before you no life your favorite thing
@@saphrix4587 I look at finishing the story like I would any other game I cant get mad I don't start with all the weapons in a Batman or MGS game if I haven't played far enough in to unlock it. Heck even wrestling games make you unlock legends or titles its apart of the game they made and would be a waste of their time if you never experienced it
I agree mate! As long as doing it once is required and not every single character which has been done this xpac (it was in Shadowlanda too but main story sucked balls)
I don't either. The problem is how quickly a player can advance the story. It's better than the 1 week per story beat that was hard-coded in until Shadowlands, in theory, but like Shadowlands, they just adjusted how quickly you can reach certain gates without no-lifing it. Gating it behind Renown is good. BUT, they limited how quickly you could build up Renown. Almost like Shadowlands, but not quite. Instead of advancing Renown behind 3 Quests, it's a simple Rep Grind. However, that Rep Grind has been slowed by a lack of end-game content that affects it any faster than the Shadowlands one did. If anything, it's even slower unless you're grinding keys at the Obsidian Throne.
I am sticking with Blizz on your first issue. After playing ESO and FFXIV and have seen the two extremes, I prefer a clear linear narrative progression. While I love the open world of MMOs, I really like being able to enjoy a solid and cohesive story that will pull me in and make me care about the characters.
You're playing the wrong game for that, then. A cohesive and coherent story is not something you will find in World of Warcraft. Especially not since the majority of it is relegated to third-party media like novels and comics.
@@HiddenEvilStudios Yeah, both ESO and FF14 have better storytelling than WoW. Although, the writing in ESO has (IMO) declined in quality since the 'year of' story cadence began, although they are finishing with that now.
@@Hurbster2112 he isn't talking about it being better etc. They are talking about it being straightforward through the zones. Which I think works for wow. Ffxiv style story doesn't work with how wow works as an mmo
@@HiddenEvilStudios Oh quit whining. You can just not do any of the side quests, only do main story line and the necessary sides (not like there are so many), hit 70 and be done with it. And you only have to do it once per account.
this happened often in Shadowlands as well. but the worst is you're in the middle of mining it and it disappears..........it was so frequent it felt intentional.
So this is because of the new mechanic they implemented; more than one person and faction can hit the same node. I've seen three people gather from one node before- I think they did this to combat the bots and make it fair for people that don't have everything unlocked and aren't able to mine without dismounting yet. I've also hit a mining node and it gives me an error message "Missing" something or other... So yeah they need a little work, but nothing to complain about. I'm happy with it, even the floating ones, you can land your dragon on them and mine them in the air. ;D
About the end game being locked behind the story: I dinged 70 as I turned in the very last quest from the story. I understand people do side-quests and such, but I usually do my side-quests once I finish the main story quest, and it seems to have benefited from this new system. Plus the main story was interesting and not really that long, so I think they should keep this formula.
@@jessejames9674 Well basically parts of the continuation of the main campaign plus some fun activities/secrets and mounts are locked behind specific faction renown. Now if we are talking just cosmetics and quests i would say its somewhat fine or at least tollerable. But main campaign plus whole activities is a big no. There is a very tiny fine line between optional and mandatory for most players. Blizzard seems to be trying to sell things as optional when they arent. Plus renown imo aint all that interesting in itself. Most people will top it just to fill bars. If accessibility to content aint a problem for you then its cool but for many people it is.
Except it's rather easy to get rep by doing side quests and content around the Dragon Isles and even do it idly. While it's "mandatory" to get the rep to unlock the upgraded side-content and campaign quests, there is no /pressure/ to unless you're someone who's only interest is the story. Doing the things getting to 70, finishing the story, and increasing your renown unlock will, hey, help you gain more renown faster if you do them. Funny. It's a /very/ comfy grind, imo, that rewards you for putting in the effort in more than just fancy looking things, and also constantly improves on the efficiency of its pieces the more you invest in each renown and its main sources of rep, but also doesn't slap you in the face for not sitting down and grinding it all out /right this moment/ to finish unlocking all the content and story beads, at least, so far. It's just a rep grind to unlock content. We've done it before.
@@SlashtheWolf18 No matter how much you sugarcoat it, its still mandatory for some items/events and thats that. Blizzard has allready lost all its lives so we gotta stay critical. Like i said some cosmetics and lore, cool iam good with that. But stuff that should be accessible from the get go is a mistake.
For the ores thing from my experience, what most likely happened is either A) someone messed with the axis of the ore and didn't tell anyone or B) the topography of the map was changed and no one realized to check the ore spawns in that area.
The thing with topography. The Ore Spawns Inside Walls IN EVERY ZONE. There are some Very Specific Nodes that always do that. And other Very Specific Nodes that always refuse to give you anything once the Interaction is finished "casting".
so far the only 2 things that I can agree or coment on. -the feeling of geting weaker as you get closer to max Lv (70) has been a thing for years now, makes sence, as soon as you hit 70 all mobs are balanced as if you are half way fully Heoric gear. but that's just not true, so you feel incredible week as soon as you hit max Lv -the other thing, I can understand they want to lock content behind the story. it makes players spend more time in the game, and also makes it so we can't complain there is no story, like past expansion. You can tell they put a LOT of extra effort in the story telling, with so many in-game cutscenes and voice acting. To me thats not a problem, I actually wanted to see ALL the story before doing raids, as I already suspected this might happen. This is the expansion to treat retail as if it was classic. And I've been doing exactly that. No mounts, walking from place to place, exploring to find all the treasures and just enjoying the expansion. stoping to farm materials or even fish when ever I see a school of fish. Content will arrive with time, so I just wanna relax and enjoy this. celebrate ShL is DEAD and gone. have fun with transmogs, losten to NPCs, enjoy the WORLD as if I was playing wow for the 1st time...OR...this is my Main's retirement adventure. We've done all we had to, we've saved the world, now we are enjoying this Sunday trip vacation, and helping the locals is just like going to the groceries, WE are the OLD man who was a legendary adventurer laughing at the new big bad guy, as we know we'll eventually find a way to defeat it. and then we can go back to our vacation home. (god I wish we get player's housing this expansion)
How incredible it is, that world of warcraft has gotten so good again, to the point that THESE are the biggest complaints we as a community can come up with. Just fantastic
The game is back on track to where it always should of been . So happy someone at blizzard figured it out, to bad it took them ten years, hopefully it won’t take another ten to keep the improvements coming
I think the introduction of the talent trees was a huge Boon to alt leveling and new player progression. Every level feels impactful and interesting. Keeping the required first story as bfa is pretty good since those areas are nonlinear and have good modern quests. For repeat levelers chrome time is so nice to always have a different way to keep questing fresh.
The getting weaker with gear has been a thing since BC launched. I remember how pissed off everyone was when they're raid gear was being replaced by green questing gear in Hellfire. Same thing happened in Wrath, ect.
The main story line requirement for endgame applies only to your first character. Which makes sense. Afterwards all of your characters upon entering DF have almost everything unlocked.
I think the old world DID get new content via the talent revamp. I leveled from 1-60 during prepatch and found it very fresh working through my new talent tree every level
I do take umbrage with some of the starter choices, for example deathknights don't get their... wraith walk I think it's called? Not sure but IMO it's an essential talent no DK should be without. A new player isn't going to know that but will see it appear on their bar and "oh this is cool".
Most of these people complaining about it havent leveled a toon from start since WOTLK. "We recently talked about this on our podcast where we ran XXX a couple times" ..."a couple" Lmfao. And wonder why they are off target and have no context.
Ngl, the complaint about MSQ locking content is a total non-issue. I finished it at level 67, so it's not like it's lengthy, and this tackles the issue of players never knowing wtf is going on. Really feels like a throwaway
I leveled slower than most by hitting every quest in the zones before moving on maybe only missing 1-2 I didn't see, it took me an extra two days but I'd say it was a far better experience than rushing to 70.
I completely agree, but average wow players like to rush things and play the latest released content asap.On the other hand it can be annoying with alts.
The fact that you only have to do it on your main character solves any issue with this, I agree. People just don't like being forced onto a themepark ride for any reason (in an MMO), even a good reason. Wow has traditionally had a lot of freedom in how you can level and experience the story (Shadowlands was the complete opposite and was terrible). Thank god they allowed us to do any zone order we want on alts, I hated having to do Ardenweald and Maldraxxus to start the Revendreth campaign in SL.
As frustrating as those points are and I agree with them... These issues (some do need addressing) are little pieces of dust compared to to the cobwebs of issues the past few expansions had.
How is requiring finishing the campaign a negative? It’s really not that long and you only have to do it once, your alts unlock all the content right away. If it required you to finish a 400 hours campaign like FF14 I’d understand the complaint, but c’mon, it’s maybe a couple more hours of questing after you hit 70.
I'd prefer some stuff introduced earlier and more spread-out during leveling, because as I hit lvl 70 I was overwhelmed with amount of quests and activities thrown at me all at once
My most ANNOYING THING is the combo points bugging, after almost EVERY fight my combo points will be fill in INCORRECTLY, showing I have 5 combo points when I have 0. This constantly screws me up and doesn’t fix until I gain 5 points and use them.
The largest fail by a mile is the leveling experience. Dragonflight has made it worse than before. I have no clue how a new player is supposed to be able to go through leveling when it's as complicated as it is. There's like 3 different worlds to level in (chromie, old content, BFA/SL) and there really isn't a great explanation of it for a new player. My cousin started to playing and he basically just did old world content to 35 then I had to show him how to actually level because he wasn't getting any more exp lol.
I agree, but that's been a problem for... well forever. And it's not like Blizzard has said they'd fix it in DF, unlike what they said about the crafting system.
I think the gear left over from the previous expansion's raids makes you feel uber powerful until you actually catch up to the level where that gear would be considered normal leveling gear. Then you end up on the same level as someone who started at 60 in leveling greens, who has felt like their character has continued to get more powerful throughout. On my main, most of my gear wasn't replaced until about level 68. I think that's when I leveled out at the intended difficulty level.
on the first bit. I guess it's because I play 14 as well and have done everything except dsr, but doing the storyline to unlock endgame stuff isn't that big of a deal/ hard to do.. Just finish the darn storyline, it's not that time consuming nor hard. If you end up just wanting to rush through the story to get to the endgame content. that just means you aren't invested in the story enough to pay attention to it. Nothing wrong with that, I guess i'm just use to finishing the story. PLUS- you had two weeks to take your time with the story and enjoy it before mythic+ and the raid came out.. I don't wanna hear any excuses.
Things being locked behind the MSQ isn't a bad thing considering you only have to do it once to unlocked the stuff. The MSQ doesn't take long either as well. Stuff is unlocked for alts once you do it the first time. Also every game, especially MMOs release games with buggy and seemingly unfinished content. A lot of the issues you see in DF you see in every game now days. I did experience getting weaker but only on certain classes. Some felt fine. Broken tanks has been addressed as well, in PvE and PvP recently. As far as adjusting early game stuff like the content and the professions, I don't feel like that is an expansion feature I feel like that should be addressed over time, and they have started too. But hat is 18 years of content they have to adjust. Won't be done at the start of an expansion. With how big the team has gotten I have faith the early game experience will begin to be addressed more and more over time.
@@networknomad5600 maybe for some. As some one who has leveled many times (at the end of slands I have 32 max level toons) I think leveling is in a good spot overall.
For Ore stuck underground or in a rock, turn on your Interact Key, face the direction of the ore and use it. If you're close enough, you'll start gathering it.
It's weird to me that people actually complain about tanks being good. Do you want to run heroics with a paper tank that you have to constantly babysit, or do you want one that can do their job well?
1. Locked Content. This is normal, no reason this shouldn't be a thing. 2. Buggy Ores. I have done three different characters 60-70 with mining and never seen this. If this is a thing it could be annoying. 3. Lag. Fixing this would depend on where the lag comes from. Having said that, I have never had any lag with any of the 9 characters I ran through the content so far. 4. Getting Weaker. We're not getting weaker, everyone is getting stronger so of course it will get harder. 5. Broken Tanks. It's already being addressed with 30% tank nerfs. 6. Lack of Early Game. You have 69 levels of early game, much more than anything end game. All in all. Where are the fails that blizzard needs to fix?
-constantly getting stuck in combat. literally for >15 min earlier today. had to relog 3 times to fix it. -inscription quest required 15 drops from mobs that only ever existed like 8 or 9 of. long respawns and about a 20% dropchance -constant laggy zones. not just azure span. sometimes while dragonriding it takes several seconds for abilities to be used, ending up wasting your vigor because you cant move "with it" -isles racer title not account wide. its kinda fine, since it gives a ton of supplies doing the races. but still.. -literally everything in regards to professions getting nerfed time after time after time aft.. if you were in on it early, you are now MONTHS ahead of the competition. -economy is in the gutter... understatement of the century -getting the damn kite from the tuskarr boat literally FORCES you to wait for up to 15min because you can only collect it while the boat is docked. if you're off by a few seconds, thats another 15+ minutes you need to stare at the screen. -ore/herbs disappearing while you use them or simply not lootable, even though they are still there. have been a problem for a long time, but because of how dragonriding works, this effectively means you are wasting vigor by landing. sometimes resulting in you having to be grounded while regenerating vigor. -who was in charge for the design of shadowpriest? i'd very much like to see their head on a platter. the damage is there, sure.. but its so obnoxiously boring and uninspired compared to most other classes. thats 3 expansions in a row... shadowpriest and getting stuck in combat are my own entirely. rest of the points have been confirmed through several friends. some of which have given up on dragonflight already. im trying to stay optimistic, but its a shitshow already. cant imagine it getting better...
I think they should really make the crafting orders cross realm to give more orders to for players to fulfill (like low pop realms having like 1 order up for gear). I also think locking the spark of ingenuity to 1 a week per character really damages the crafting order system, since a lot of what people need crafted requires it
@@eviel0a lot of things need to be made cross realm. I get that realms are their own servers but I feel things like trading or making guilds with people from other servers should be able to be done since you can see the person infront of you.
Been using crafting order system fair amount and trade chat is alive again there are just more crafters at the moment then orders. Usually order is filled within 5 mins
as a new player who never played wow and just started this expansion i got lvl 70 in 3 days i had more fun doing that then the actual end game stuff no idea what ur talking about
I have had some luck with Mythic +, but coming from FFXIV where I was a PF savage raider- getting rejected for normal mode raid was a a bit of a shock. I do remember how ridiculous group finder people were when I quit early in Shadowlands, but I thought things had improved. Back to making my own groups again and hoping things go well. I mean it is normal mode, people in WoW get so weird about who they accept for a normal mode raid week one. We all watched the Hazel guides, and it isn’t that tough
For as much as I agree with the comment about pugs in wow being a rather toxic environment, I'm afraid that just looking at some guides on YT is unfortunately not enough in week 1 of the raid release. Hell, even my guild failed to finish the raid day 1 because people didn't do their research(with limited resources of course, because the min--max strats have not been made public yet), disrespected raid mechanics or simply went blind into the raid. With that said, I am certain that the majority of current pug groups are the same as that or even worse. Give it a few weeks and maybe give it a try again once a lot more information about everything in the raid will be available :D
it should be easier to raid now. The new raid is really easy me and my firends put together a 11man group 10friends and an extra heal and we breezed through normal without any wipes on most bosses even though we didnt even watched a video or anything about it I think the most wipes we had were 3 out of that 1 was a fail pull, we joked about that it was like a classic raid in difficulty especially after how hard other raids were in previous expansions.
what do you mean i leveled 5 alts and i literally get invited to most pug raids with proper ilevel. If you are undergeared do not expect people you to invite and leech the group and putting more weight on others with lower dps and higher hp of the boss :D Tbh Especially this expansion people are much more relaxed on inviting people to raids because the amount of damage output difference of characters are mostly the same if you are not minmaxing stats etc. So people are not discrimination classes so far in my experience. Try to signup for raids for 10 mins max and you will eventually get into one. If you really give up after applying to 10 and leaving the que then thats on you.
I agree so much with the early game problem. I’m a new player, I started playing just over a month ago and my early game experience was terrible. Levelling quests were so boring and the main story for BFA was so confusing. I was always so lost and had to search up UA-cam guides on just about everything because the game never taught me how to do anything (example: how to travel to different regions, how to literally just use a mfing hearthstone). At around level 15 I tried my first dungeon and it was a disaster. I played freehold as a tank and could not keep up at all. I took so much damage I couldn’t keep aggro and I was clueless about mechanics. My gear broke, I alt+f4ed and quit for about a week. I only started enjoying the game when I started getting into transmog and mount collecting. I also started getting better at the game and I now love playing it.
@@inmysoul7 I don’t think you really understand how wow looks like to a completely new player. I’ve played a dozen of mmos before and I was never as clueless as I was in wow. If you’re a veteran player it might be hard to see how people can have problems over the most basic of things but I can assure you it’s not as easy as it might seem.
real talk if you wanna see peoples complaints honestly without the censorship of a forum or the shilling of a youtuber/streamer go read wows 4chan page

@@inmysoul7 It's called bullshit. I don't want beavers becoming stronger every time I get an item upgrade. Even if overall I kill them 2% faster, the entire point of character item progression is to trivialize content that used to take some time to defeat.
It's a side effect of being able to do content with people from way different levels. A level 60 in BiS gear will do higher damage relative to your freshly dinged 70 as he is overgearing the mobs, whereas you are at your weakest point. It's a choice between this current scaling, make dungeons level bracketed again or have everyone scale to a preset level like they do during raid testing, which again will ruin gear progression.
@@skorne741 Thats the problem. Its about you all for you. If they remove the scaling a lvl 60 new player will not be able to kill even a fly with his 180ilvl gear. In dungeons all non 70 lvl players will be kicked from the group. Reasons you cant understand cuz your EGO is so high.
In some crafting professions you can take the wrong specializations (ones that don't give recipes) and find yourself completely screwed and unable to level your profession past 65. And nobody uses crafting orders so that doesn't help.
I find the first “issue” to be a bit strange. The complaint essentially boils down to “I didn’t do all the content so I don’t have access to all of the content and I don’t like that.” I’m really not sure what people were expecting. The main story isn’t some kind of inane grind that never ends. It’s a couple extra hours of doing leftover quests from leveling that you’ll never have to do again once it’s done.
People were expecting the freedom they have had for 16 years of wow (before SL), also there was no in game information about the MSQ being mandatory to play the game at max level.
@@PendlayRoe I can't entirely agree with that idea. Doing all of the quests has been a major element of the pathfinder achievements which have been vital for playing the game at "max level" since WoD. Doing as many quests as you could get a hold of to avoid mob farming is a pretty common thing in Vanilla WoW too.
@@PendlayRoe why lie? Don't fucking lie, they USE to lock the raids and dungeons behind quests, and now they don't even do that, almost nothing is locked at the moment, he just crying
As a returning player from WoD, the biggest mistake for me is the early/new player experience. You are forced into BFA dungeons with crazy mechanics for interrupts while your class unlocks them in the talent tree 20 levels further down the line.. Additionally, high level healers cant heal well low level tanks but a 12 level healer can heal 3 times more and carry the whole dungeon. New players should learn on the first dungeons, not BFA. Other issue is that some talent trees are filled with mandatory talents with no real choice.
Blizzard please don't ruin the amazing tank self-healing.. as a healer main its amazing to not having to think about your tank so often, especially in a age where the dungeons seem to deal out a lot more group-wide damage. That and just giving us time to dps once in a while
The early game ended it for me. I tried it but lvling is soooooo boring and meaningless. honestly, they should just get rid of leveling in retail at this point I think the game would be so much more fun.
I like that the story needs to be completed first, as a more casual player, I get lost with so many quest and sometimes get bored with side quest because there are so many, I love that after finishing the story you get the “end game quests”, I understand veterans tho
My friends say they are annoyed with gear dropping that is lower I level than their current gear. I've said that first zones are tuned to ppl having 180 ilvl not the rain from the sky 252 gear of pre-launch. Am I wrong?
About leveling for new players... For dragonflight I started playing with a friend and since he's new I decided to level up a character alongside him and oh boy... It turns out he was forced to do the bfa leveling... Since he's new he couldn't choose anything else and I don't understand why. First of all, in my opinion bfa does not have the best leveling experience. We both got pretty bored of it and our bfa dungeon experience was even worse. I wish I could've shown him way better expansions to level on and have access to better dungeon experiences. Ah and ofc, even if we unlocked our flying, we couldn't fly in the broken isles because he obviously couldn't unlock it and I couldn't carry him on my dragon either because during bfa I was too bored and stopped playing the game and didn't unlock flying. So yeah... I don't think forcing a player through the bfa leveling experience is the best...
I'll say this at the least regarding story completion. Once you finish story on any character, you don't need to do it again, alts can do w/e they want from the get go and even start collecting sparks at lvl 60 and immediately go to valdrakken from the portal room at 58. The only bug really bothering me is Evoker. There's an issue where you'll target one enemy, and for some reason it targets another, and sometimes living flame (their ability that can heal or damage depending on target) will randomly heal someone when you're targeting a boss. Funny enough, this doesn't happen on my mage, shaman, warrior or warlock, just evoker. I'll try to use Disintegrate sometimes and it'll say "invalid target" even though it's the same one I just casted something else on, then I cast living flame, healed random Jimmy next to me. Even a random LoS thing where I'm not facing them, yet they're right in front of me, cast Disintegrate, turns me around to hit someone else, it's obnoxious, and again ONLY evoker has this issue, no other caster or melee suffers from this weird bug
Yooo people gotta chill a bit 🤣 If you hit 70 before Valdrakken it most likely takes you about 2-3 hours to complete the MSQ so I really dont see the point they are trying to do. Furthermore, you just have to do it once, so I think it is pretty well-designed. Sometimes we also have to consider that the playerside may be in the “wrong”
1) The "locked behind the story" issue is only an issue if you are completing sidequests and hitting 70 before completing the story. I admittedly just followed the story and went back to start doing sidequests after, to do the rep grind to catch up to the rewards post-story so I have World Quests too (on alts to boot). You can even unlock World Quests pre-70 by finishing the story first (this is my personal experience, my first 70 was /68/ when I finished the story and unlocked World Quests and the like). So personally, doing the story, then the sidequests + World Quests AFTER the story is the fix to this issue, and the way the expac was designed. I can UNDERSTAND frustration with this idea though, AND why one might feel held back if they're someone who likes to do /ALL the quests/ while exploring and hits max early. 2-3) Fair issue. The problem, though, is an 18 year old engine that's not been stress tested in 4 years that they just dumped new content into with a lot of new systems, of course it's going to lag to hell. I hope they CAN make it better (and it's been getting better since launch, just... slowly). 4) I never felt weaker, honestly, but I also made sure to keep my gear up to-level (including crafted gear if I was able to manage it), and I've been making sure to adapt the way I play as new talents added new procs/efficiency to my rotation and planned ahead how I would play, as well as mostly playing self-sustaining characters (healers/tanks/dps with a lot of utility or healing). So it's as much adapting to scaling/the way talents work/planning ahead as it scaling too hard. Gear hasn't felt like a huge jump for a while, as well, without being REALLY up-to-date on your iLvl. 5) They cut tank DR by 11.1% this week across the board and are likely making more tweaks just like Legion did when tanks were broken with Artifact trees. We're also ignoring that in Mythic0s even DPS in 'good enough gear' who have enough sustain and playerskill can solo them, too, with some of the equally broken specs as dps, even if they can't 'one pull' the dungeon. 6) Hey, look, the same problem from every single expansion since Cata, other than experience gain adjustments, other than some new Heirlooms like the maps. We at least have Exile's Reach and Chromie to make it /quick/, but I do agree the world being forgotten for expac content is disappointing and my opening snark is cynicism rather than a knock at the complaint. This is my opinion/views on this. Addendum: Dracthyr are fun and I love my scalies, personally, but to each their own. Some of the ones people made are so cursed I'd die.
I don't understand being pissed about having to play the game to play the game. Everyone wants to rush through shit so they can complain they have nothing left to do or something it's weird
i am a new player. i saw alot of ppl praising dragonflight and alot of the new features and class changes looked fun, so i wanted to give wow a chance, since i always avoided playing it over the years (i dont like subscription models and on top of it this game also has an ingame shop... kinda ridiculous tbh), but i still followed it, bc im a huge mmo nerd. anyways, curiosity finally got me and so i created an account and actually played the game for the first time up to lvl 20 for free, but never have i seen anything of the improvements that came with dragonflight, except for the talent trees. I still am somewhat keen on playing the game, bc i thought the actual gameplay was really good for a traditional tab target mmo and i kinda like old school gameplay and the holy trinity, its a nice change from the mmos ive been playing (gw2 for example). but having to pay 65€ to even try the game and dragonflight... i dont think so. so i guess im not a new player after all.
I only recently did the Ring of Blood on my Priest, which cause the Ring of Blood to Show up. The biggest thing locked behind main story line completion is World Quest, as the Engine is unlocked for alts once you complete it. I didn't rush story/side-story this expenasion so took me 3 days to unlock World Quest, yet enjoy it. I have been really happy with Dragonflight and enjoys every moment, except the Paladin Talent Tree, which they like Druid hopefully fix in an upcoming patch, as Cleanse is placed badly and Ret have some PvP talent in their tree.
2:00 It makes no sense to use the words "fully experience" alongside the idea that people who want to fully experience Dragonflight also want to skip swathes of the main storyline. You do not fully experience by skipping content.
I reached lvl 70 before I even finished the second zone, but that's mainly because I just ran around mining ores and picking herbs while exploring when starting out in the first zone which I always tend to do in a new expansion, I rarely start focusing on the story quests directly from the start. And I don't mind finishing the main story before I get to be a part of everything that's offered. About the mining/herb nodes I have even experienced nodes that doesn't give me any loot as the loot window doesn't pop up no matter how many attempts I make, after a while it disappears and when I move away a bit from the location said node turns up again but with the same result if I try to harvest it, this has happened mainly in two of those big grottos for me, one in Waking Shores and one in Ohn'Ahran Plains, same thing has happened with Expedition Scout's Packs that's located in those two caves. I've tried looking up on the forums to see if anyone else have experienced that but so far I've only found people talking about the scout's packs that spawns inside of ground objects so we can't reach them.
i've seen a lot of people say that spark of ingenuity requires the whole story to complete, but it only requires like 2 quests into the thaldrazsus campaign which takes like 5 minutes to do and on alt characters does not require the previous zone campaigns
I know why the ore node generation does that, so when they are "dressing" the enviroments tthey use tools that work a bit like a brush, and sometoes when they make a pass over an area it can move objects about, trees get shifted as grass is placed around them etc, this can shift ore nodes x,y,z accis and cause the ore nodes to generate under or over a accessable location, yes they do go in and manualy alter stuff but its easy to miss stuff or fixing a tree could cause a domino effect and change an area that was given the OK.
For me I have a few more: 1. Lack of low to mid level useful crafting items for Crafting Orders. 2. Mid to high level crafting recipes locked behind high end rep needs. 3. Profession specific bags not getting priority over the new reagent bags when items get stored to them for the targeted profession. 4. Segregation of the old world Zones and the expansion zones. Level 60-70s can live entirely in Dragonflight leaving pre-60 and post 60 player populations separate. Also you nailed in your video nothing changed in old world. (Glare: Crafting) 5. Annoyance to who ever came up with the Rousing Air nodes. They are clearly death traps if you cannot float or fly somehow. 6. Game has relied on selling mounts for years and even included one in the expansion release packages and yet they are not useable in Dragonflight zones nor are Dragon Flying mounts usable in old Azeroth zones.
I can't or won't try to explain the float ores bug: but the items underground (ores, even backpacks) I believe is because there is a whole giant underground area which has been hinted and the reason items are clipping through the ground, or appearing under the map yet are underground is BECAUSE there is an underground area that is massive. I also assume that is why there is so much lag as well.
The "becoming weaker" issue is at the heart of modern wow - everything feels strange with the new scaling and combat mechanics. I've never seen the game in such a bad state of imbalance either. As for "new players", they will not enjoy endgame questing either as rewards are gold and special currency that cant really be used until many renowns later. The few items that are rewarded are quite nerfed due to itemscaling and so many item levels from all the meaningless difficulties. They will not enjoy dungeons, as the meta is pull as much shit as possible, dont wait for healer, dont wait for any resses, just go as fast as possible. This is what the wotlk linear dungeons and easier mobs has led to. Forced linear storymode is also very boring, I get braincancer trying to level in zones like Ardenweald - The middleground of good questing was somewhere around wotlk style. I have come to hate what WoW has become.
So not to be too critical but... How exactly is the low level experience a problem with Dragonflight specifically? You could argue the exact same thing about Shadowlands, my friend bought me that expac cause he wanted to have friends to play with and was trying to sell people on all the customization and choice with covenants and such but I, as a new player, had access to none of that. Could WoW afford to streamline the new player experience? Absolutely, but I would hardly call it a failing of this new expansion specifically.
i havent seen floating ore in a few days, main story is kinda the point of the game so makes sense u have to do it at least once and im thankful we only have to do it once
Not sure if Nixxiom knows this but it takes about 10 minutes to unlock your Spark on an Alt, I took my DK to Valdrakken talked to Alextraza and then went to engine and did the 2 quests to get first spark and this was all within 15 mins and I'm not sure that I even had to talk to Alextraza
I am a new player to wow. And I have to say giving how fast I'm levelling to 60, I don't mind that they didn't update much. However I find it odd that I get introduced to sylvanas as horde leader while I know she hasn't been for 2 expansions now.
Biggest minus for me is the huge amount of quest text mistakes. I do all side quests and read every single one of them, and I've noticed so many missing or incorrect words. It feels like they didn't proofread the quests much.
My biggest issue is not that some stuff is locked behind the main quest, that's at least an obvious and fairly quick fix. Nope, it's that some stuff is locked behind side quests or side quests+renown. The amount of times I've had a friend say "Hey, we should go do this world quest, seems like there's a nice reward on it." Only for me to have no clue what quest he's talking about, finding out it's on one of the renown levels, and that you need to do a particular side quest to gain access to it. People aren't going to know what specific world quests you've unlocked, or if they did something special to gain those world quests. Would be nice if they yoinked the blue+ quests from FFxiv to indicate that this side quest unlocks something, or that this world quest came from a renown/side quest unlock.
Oh no.. Anyway. If you are still complaining about this, have you even been actively playing the game before the raid and m+ dropped? by what i'm reading you clearly haven't. All my renowns are around lvl 20 or higher(except iskarraa because thank alexstrasza for not putting blacksmithing mats behind it) and i've maxed out reps with Wrathion/Sabelian and even cobalt assembly. Not the healthiest grind.. But hey, min-maxing is my thing and a few annoying reps are good enough to keep me playing. If everything could be earned with just hitting 70, the profession crafting game would be giga boring . But that's just me. I won't cry bout it, but you will
@BDenjoyer Uhm, not really crying about it, it's just something I noticed amongst my friend group when grouping to do various things together. I've been bouncing between two characters from launch, which has been what's slowed my progress for renown. Tried to focus on a couple of the individual reps to go for on each character, but still, the character I've done the most rep with is the one I didn't go through the campaign on (pretty much leveled her almost exclusively through mining) so neither character is particularly far into rep. There's no harm in wanting there to be an indicator on world quests that tells you that you need to do a specific side quest to unlock it, like how they tell you that you need to do the springs side quest for the Centaur in its renown track in order to get your Thunder lizard.
I am currently maining a prot paladin and yeah, in the open world they are incredibly durable but as soon as we step foot in mythic+ dungeons it really starts to hurt
Easily the most irritating thing in this xpac is trying to get to some dragon glyphs where you fly up until you can't anymore and then land on the closest surface and then wait for two to three minutes for vigor to recharge so that you can do it again to ascend higher. And then rinse and repeat. Makes going after dragon glyphs attritive and frustrating. Also, there should be a way to mark the map that you've found a dragon glyph so you aren't trying to scale the next Mount Strumpet only to find you've already collected that glyph.
You don't need to finish the valdrakken storyline on alts to unlock stuff outside of campaign(heard somewhere that even that was dropped but haven't had a chance to confirm myself), wqs are available to your alts as soon as you get to waking shores. Even if the 1st chapter of campaign is still gated behind the short storyline in valdrakken you can just start that storyline on alts from get go just take a look at scouting map in 1st quest hub in waking shores, you can pick up starting quest for all the zones there. M0s you could've went in without finishing stuff too. Number 3 got fixed recently, Azure Span is no longer ass to be in. Number 4 is just natural part of leveling up you always were way weaker during last half of levels than you were in 1st half, that's just stats having different breakpoints for percentages with higher levels. Prot warrior is strong and very low skill floor to tank efficiently, bear/dh are pretty close to it but the other 3 weren't nearly as easy. Yes we were broken but honestly bdk/ppal/brew didn't need to get the 10% dr removed. (which all tanks recently got nerfed for with pwar getting a bit more nerfs but overall it's still really strong, dh got impacted most as they also lost healing on the hunt and their passive fire dmg leech lowered).
one thing i would like them to change is making profession recipes account wide that are unlocked through renown. People play alts, and a lot of them have different professions for each alt and being forced to grind reputations on every single alt just to get profession recipes is a nightmare. You should be able to get to the quartermaster on your alt and if you reached the needed rank on your main you should be able to buy the recipe on your alt or at least you should be able to buy it on your main and then send it to your alt. Why are we still stuck in past ways with these reputations in every single expansion where you have to keep grinding them if you want to get stuff unlocked on your alts? Sure some cosmetic items are account wide unlocks which is great but for the most important stuff, recipes and gear, you still need to grind it all over again and that's really annoying and it really is my only gripe with the expansion so far
I think early game is a difficult topic for Blizzard since making levelling longer is a double-edged sword. In Classic the early game is not empty, but I remember back in WoD or even BFA before any Chromie Time and level scaling the "early game" was just empty ass zones, LFG spamming in full heirloom gear, linear path, overlevelling zones, etc. Atleast now it's (hopefully will be expanded upon though) an extended tutorial experience that allows new players to get to the feel and talent their points each level and learn the flow. And, with Chromie, there are tons of replayability of alt levellers as well.
Err... The engine on innovation can be done a fresh level 60 - I know this, because I've done it on four of them. Last week and this week. (I don't think unlocking it on my main was a pre-requisite, but even if it was, it was available before renown 5 having just done the main story quests only on my main.) I've very much flown directly from the blimp to Dragonflight all the way to Valdrakken's bronze district to talk to the goblin, sputter around and shoot the table, and then do whatever the nice stone lady wants to get the Spark of Ingenuity. Not a single other activity! World quests are available right away on alts and once you've gotten your renown up on your main, your get double rep rewards from all sources on the alts - meaning if you do all the quests again you'll end at a further point than your main because it really slows down once you've run out of quests. But there are legitimate things, such as some side quests that may or may not have nice lore tidbits, that are locked behind renown. I personally feel a bit overwhelmed (FOMO-style) with the sheer number of things I'm expected to do and not all of them are even giving me viable upgrades anymore. I have to do the world quests even if I don't get better gear because its the least tedious way of getting renown up - and everything under the sun is locked behind renown. Which, honestly, looking back? Screams Burning Crusade, doesn't it? Only this time with no tabards and reason to dungeon farm. And maybe that's a blessing in disguise? The overworld content is legitimately fun. I'm interacting primarily with people from my own realm, not strangers on other realms who I will never cross again -- even reoccurring Alliance players are becoming a pleasant sight now that loot is shared. My real gripe comes from just how steeply crafting cuts you off. You get all the basic stuff done from your trainer in a single day, easily, but then the rest is behind Knowledge, and worse, Rousing to Awakened Elemental bits to something made from those to the tune of just one set of crafted gear going to cost 15000 if I were to buy the mats. I thought Primal Chaos was going to be the difficult part, but I was wrong. Farming elemental bits that drop at low rates is going to be difficult part. I feel like by the time I get it my pants (let alone the rest of the set), it will be replaced by other gear (likely from the Primal Storms) -- but I'll have to hang onto it to "recraft" it later when they introduce some new uber hard to get material, I suspect. I've definitely seen floating ore LMAO. I've definitely experienced the lag in Azure Span and its getting sliiiiightly better? I think they're starting to shard certain event-related areas off from the levelling/gathering areas. It feels that way? I'm envious by what tanks are capable of. Give my poor little rogue even a tenth of that. I have felt underpowered on him since the end of Legion and I sincerely cannot accidentally pull more than one thing without feeling screwed in comparison to ALL the other leather wearing classes. I have to have my friend babysit what used to be my main and it doesn't feel good. My monk, druid, hunter and warlock feel fine but my poor rogue, man... his item level is 365 and I still feel as weak as I was at 280. I have looked at guides, I have macros, I have weak auras, I have tried not one but TWO rotation helper addons. It doesn't change the fact they've nerfed leech and my only heal only does 20%. Eventually I get by a truck of an AoE if I'm not quick on my toes and I have to step to the side and just watch others play while my HP recovers like I'm a healer out of mana in classic.
I kind of wish they made it clear that after I finished the story, alts could avoid doing the story. I got my mage to 70 before finishing the 3rd zone, and then found out my group needs a healer. So I started trying out different healers, and have done the first two zones 6 times now. I'm so sick of the second zone, and absolutely hate being there. Is it my own fault for not finishing the story? I guess. But if I knew that finishing it would open things up on my alts, I would have just blasted through it on my main rather than starting to level the alts asap to waste less time on a main I won't be playing. Aside from that things are fine though.
One thing they need to fix is getting disconnected while trying to dragonride. Sometimes when you take off, you'll get disconnected and sometimes when I log back in I'm unable to strafe. Really need to fix that @.@
Honestly prefer the "forced" story. I played through all of Wrath TWICE on two characters, and I can't tell you what the hell is going on in the story besides The Lich King is back and wants to kill everyone. Here, I know whats going on, I know the characters, and it just feels better to know what the hell is going on. Like I know exactly why we are in the Vault of Incarnates, and that makes it coolers. I have no idea why we were in Nax.
Don't have much intentions of playing Dragonflight myself unfortunately. Been on and off from WoW for many years now. Ever since Nostalrius and its downfall (Nost being the first time i ever touched the Vanilla version), i've been enjoying the Classic version of the game way more. Buuut with years of playing that too, Classic, TBC & WotLK, playing with my guild, i think the end of WoW for me is coming rapidly. That being said, i still like to be up-to-date with how the game is going Started to enjoy SWTOR quite a lot after the man himself played it on stream and made a few vids on it. I've got 2400 hours on it as writing this comment and it's ALL Nixxiom's fault!
In the upcoming patch Blizz are changing when crafting specializations unlock. So now you no longer have to grind to 100, they changed it to 75 instead.
Did a dungeon and our tank was somehow 67 without dragonriding. I think the campaign vs the side quests have some folks a little overwhelmed when there are "integral" (seemingly optional because its not immediately railroaded) to continue the game! Immediately unlocking WQ on alts is great but you still need to do most of campaign questing to unlock certain WQ or rewards through renown. It's definitely friendlier, but depending on your alts goals it's not a cure all. I stkll feel pressured to 100% on all my characters :p Great video
1. what I did instead was rush story with some side missions and hit 70, then focus on the rest of the loremaster achievement. It's really the best way to do it and I didn't have that problem which you mentioned and was able to unlock everything right on time and then continue with the side missions and get the side stories. 2. I only encountered the flying node problem once and mined hundreds of nodes so it's not really a recurrent problem. 3. True. Not exactly ms or ping but in Valdrakken in the auction house it seems like the servers are going bazonkers. Despite having 20ms the AH will load for ages and buying/selling stuff is just soo laggy. 4. It wasn't really noticeable for me until the very last few levels and I actually enjoyed getting weaker because it was soo easy leveling up and everything was dying to a one shot and it was really boring and tedious. I'd much rather have to manage my cooldowns properly and actually play the game trying to level rather than being spoonfed mob kills by using 2 abilities and the quest is then complete. There was catch-up gear and everything so that you don't get absolutely destroyed and even with that gear, you'd be breezing through the mobs like butter. 5. OP indeed, they were nerfed ^^ Love ya Nix
Your first issue is silly BS and discredits everything that comes after it. It's natural to lock those things behind finishing the story and they are specifically trying to make sure people playing the game are up to date on the story without leaving the game to read books/etc. Anyone complaining that they have to finish the story before they can engage with endgame content is.. I don't even know.. It's just ridiculous. Complaints like this are why we've had trash tier WoW for years now. I hope you just felt like you add that garbage to pad the length of your video for some reason, cause if you actually believe that's a legitimate issue, you're as out of touch as Blizzard has been the last few expansions.
One of the things I didn’t like in early game now is doing dungeons as healer specifically or even other roles but mainly healers. The current default dungeon experience is BfA or shadowlands for new players and BfA dungeons have bad scaling and tons of mechanics that a player who has just unlocked their spec can’t handle, the gear you have at level 10 from the starting experience or old starting areas is so bad that any tick can crush the player and the players don’t have enough spells yet like more than 1 AoE heal or sustain to handle the damage or even proper CC or interrupts to prevent it, many of the basic skills required for these things are unlocked by level 20
I dunno man...locking content behind doing questlines isn't all that bad IMO. Besides it's not as bad as it sounds on paper. Like once you unlocks those features they're then unlocked for all alts. Would the community have preferred it if it took doing the entire DF storyline to level to 70? I think this way of questing is so much better than previous expansions but I'm just one person. If people have issues with it after leveling through shadowlands and BfA then I guess they will never truely be satisfied. side note: if you think tanks are broken then try doing a 12+ keystone and you'll soon realise they're perfectly balanced 😅
I don't think the forcing of doing the main story is that bad if you ignore the side quests after 70 it won't take that long & on any alts you can just skip doing quests all together and level them via a combination of professions and world quests.
I think it’s important to think about is scope for dragon flight as a project, they had to scope professions to dragon flights because otherwise it would take too long to finish and they might have a lot more bugs, they made a good call. But for future game transformation it makes sense to extend all those QOA features for the whole game.
Thank you for the interesting video! I feel like there needs to be a diacussion here since apparently there are some VERY different opinions. First, I feel like the locked content is not an issue at all. Immersion and story go hand-in-hand and giving everything to the player without him/her having to at least go through the main storyline once would be harmful to the game. If we were able to just skip the story on our first character, why even have a story? I played a lot between launch day and season start and I barely touched mythics because I liked questing and gaining renown. I didn’t know about quite a few minor features such as rock climbing and stuff amd it was interesting to unlock new activities just by questing. I have every faction over renown lvl 10 so if I want to start an alt I’ll have the rep bonus for every faction and I’ll be able to skip to endgame. Also, you actually can do pvp, raiding and mythic+ no matter what, so why not? Yes, renown gives some nice pieces of gear but you can easily skip them with mythic+, even if you can only do like +5s. Ores and bugs! I’m also a miner/blacksmith and I found 0 floating ores. This doesn’t mean that it’s not an issue and there definitely are some bugs, I’ve eritten 4 different tickets to Blizz so far, 3 of which were fixed in like 6 hours. I know it probably wasn’t because of my reports but a launch/frist season start is always rocky at least a little bit but reporting bugs amd seeing them fixed the same day made me feel good. I know my experience is probably not the same as yours but at least I can tell you that Blizz actually is working on fixing bugs, which are btw far from being gamebreaking ones. The lag is another issue which cannot be argued, I experienced it twice in Azure Span and it was bad but I’m sure they are working on it. If not, I’ll be super mad because Azure Span is my favourite zone since wotlk. I can’t tell much about getting weaker since I’m a healer and I’m definitely getting stronger with mythic+ drops, crafting and renown gear. I feel like in a dungeon there is not much difference between a lvl 65 and a fresh 70 but if you start getting epics it’s very much different. The last issue I think worth talking about is early game, I think you are absolutely right about it, it’s boring and nothing like Dragonflight. Its’s not worse than it was in any way but now there is actually a huge visible difference. I think they are only going to deal with this in the next expansion, as I feel like they are trying to focus on reworkong and saving the endgame of WoW from what Legion, BFA and Shadowlands did to it. I hope I made some sense and I’m happy about your video, it’s very important to take a look out of the window of the hype train and give meaningful critical feedback to Blizzard, thank you for doing that, Nixxiom! Cheers!
Crying about "locked behind a 2 hour to complete from start to finish MQ" when you in reality only have 30 mins left in the final zone is the worst shit I have ever heard bro, pretty low
Ore and herb node locations are generated by an algorithm. They were generated early on in the map development cycle. Every expansion has inaccessible nodes when at 1st launches, they trimmed a bunch of them afterwards.
My biggest issues are 1) I agree on locked content. I've finished the main story for each zone and am now on the next set of main story quest but the pacing utterly stopped as i was doing quest and am now locked out of the content till I get Valdraken Accord to rank 12. I am rank 9 currently just running side quest and world quest to get the next set. I hate that. 2) textures for me can go wild. It's not uncommon to open my map and just have a huge black square where it didn't load in. Or better yet when the sky suddenly disappears and its just rainbow colored pixels. Also happens with character textures and I've had npcs spawn with only 2 or 3 letters of their name there and the rest are just blank spaces. 3) lag as well. Nothing better than trying to quest and or run dungeons and watching my world ping go from 67ms to 500-600ms or more. Mostly cause that damn Tuskarr is making his soup again. 4) this one is character specific as my Druid is the only one I've been playing but it started after I hit lvl 70. When I switch specs say from Balance to Guardian it resets my entire actionbars and takes off all of the skill icons I had on for Bear form and leaves only the ones my Balance spec also has unlocked. Really annoying each time I switch to have to sit there and resetup my actionbars so I've just been sitting in Guardian spec since I hit 70. Sure its broken and being an unkillable bear soloing dungeons from my inate self-heal is fun but it also takes much longer to kill things than a dps spec would.
Having parts stuck behind the story isn't that bad in concept. Where the failure lies is the ability for a player to advance the story at a pace they are comfortable with when doing it the first time. For example, World Quests were one of the quickest ways to advance the Rep grind, which is what the story is stuck behind, but World Quests only update twice a week instead of 3 times a day. There is the claim that there is all these other activities to do, but so few of them actually advance the Renown. Sure, once you have one character up to 20 Renown, it's not so bad for the alts, but unless you're grinding keys for the Black Dragon flight on a near constant basis, everything else is either too far apart in time frame to get in to quickly, like the Dragonbane Siege which starts every 2 hours and is effectively done in 10 minutes, the Grand Hunts are completed just as quickly so that by the time one sees them on the map, they're pretty much completed before you can even get to the zone, or were already completed before you logged in. The Elemental Storms only help with gear upgrades and don't really address Renown, and unless you're a broken tank, you need a mob to even consider addressing them. To be fair about the early game, Blizzard didn't promise they would address this other than the Talent system. I HOPE they're using Dragonflight as a test bed for all these new mechanics before implementing them on the world as a whole. Maybe one day we'll get an Azeroth Reborn (again), but until then, I don't expect anything to change from the past content too much.
My biggest issue with this expansion is that I’m stuck in an endless night. Playing from aus the game clock goes off American time so I never see the sun, both irl and in game now. The new zones are amazing, but I didn’t realise how amazing they actually looked until I had a day off work sick and logged on in the morning to an amazing sun full and bright high in the sky. I don’t really understand why it goes off real time and doesn’t have its own internal night and day cycle every couple of hours. I’ve never seen the sun set or rise and tbh didn’t even know it changed. Weather patterns and day and night cycle really change up the dynamic of a zone and how it feels. With how amazing these zones are I really think they should shift to a much faster rotation. Maybe not so much a problem for Americans but man it sucks for aus players
The first issue wasn't really an issue for me. I did a bit of sidecontent, but mainly did the story first. So I was like 69,5 when I finished the story, and did sidequests later. There are alot of very good small questlines I have to say. Some really heartbreaking, and some really wholesome as well. I think my main issue is the inventory, I would need a 50 slot reagent bag or something like that, because my inventory is full of crap. Especially since I am an alchemist, so I need to hold on to pots and potions that I don't need just to do experimentation - which is also kind of frustrating because you blow up alot doing this. Yeah I also had some herbalism stuff spawn where I could not reach (probably right below the surface), but for the most part it works. Azure Span was laggy, and some other zones after release as well. It seems to be getting better, felt like the first few days.
The wrong version of this video got uploaded to the channel, hence why it had to be taken down and reuploaded. My mistake! Luckily it was caught moments after release, instead of a few days later.
I'll just come right out and say it.... you're a silly goose.
People are going to scour through it to find the secrets
We will find the bodies, nix
at least you could stay on i kept dcing every 5 minutes and i couldnt find out why i reset everything even my modem. even tho we both play on MG i couldnt live on the servers bc the DCS i havent played since tbh i got like 3 70s/in half kinda i got a 63 rogue but i keep dcing so i cant really stay online. sux XD
No one gains anything from watching this trash.
Might want to re-upload it again without the rich Campbell video at the start 😅
I dont see what the big deal is with finishing the story at least once before having everything unlocked. They worked hard on the story and cut scenes you should have to see it once before you no life your favorite thing
Brown 👃
Agreed, you should have to do the story line once, complaints about that makes no sense. It's the game.... It's the point of it.
Think story line is fine and you only need todo it on 1 char.
@@HiddenEvilStudios Oh quit whining. You can just not do any of the side quests, only do main story line and the necessary sides (not like there are so many), hit 70 and be done with it. And you only have to do it once per account.
My favorite went from the "weird floating mineral deposits" to the "mineral deposits that disappear as soon as I get close".
I've had nodes despawn 1 second before I finish the gathering animations. Despair.
this happened often in Shadowlands as well.
but the worst is you're in the middle of mining it and it disappears..........it was so frequent it felt intentional.
Yeah I finished the main story quest at lvl68. after that did some dungeon leveling and it was done.
The questing felt good and the "locked" content feels like it's a natural progression...lemme finish these quests and unlock some more quests
Story progress+fun activities should NOT be tied to renown. Otherwise renown becomes mandatory and is no longer optional. Period.
@@The86Ripper why isnt it? all i do is raid and dungeons? I dont see why its mandatory. lmao.
If someone forgot to peer review axis points in certain zones, that would be something some one would get fired for lol
so far the only 2 things that I can agree or coment on.
-the feeling of geting weaker as you get closer to max Lv (70) has been a thing for years now, makes sence, as soon as you hit 70 all mobs are balanced as if you are half way fully Heoric gear. but that's just not true, so you feel incredible week as soon as you hit max Lv
-the other thing, I can understand they want to lock content behind the story. it makes players spend more time in the game, and also makes it so we can't complain there is no story, like past expansion.
This is the attitude I like to see hell yeah brother

I think the introduction of the talent trees was a huge Boon to alt leveling and new player progression. Every level feels impactful and interesting. Keeping the required first story as bfa is pretty good since those areas are nonlinear and have good modern quests. For repeat levelers chrome time is so nice to always have a different way to keep questing fresh.
The getting weaker with gear has been a thing since BC launched. I remember how pissed off everyone was when they're raid gear was being replaced by green questing gear in Hellfire. Same thing happened in Wrath, ect.
new expansion new patch new grind cycle lol mythic raiding is just pointless because your gear will be worth nothing
@@kurrwa people dont just do mythic raids for the gear :p, its the challenge that draws people.
@@conorhennell2623 harder mythic and subs are dropping ;d
And wonder why they are off target and have no context.
yeah but crafting is the same and that is what he mentioned in the video
@@arcamean785 isn't wraith walk just an upgraded deaths advance? Why is it so important
Yeah, what is the point of all this side-activity when you're forced to do the MSQ anyways. A bit frustrating for sure.
If its not msq i aint taking it. Ez
They are doing a great job with the story and how you can get extra info by asking npcs thoughts ect about what happened which is cool.
Dude, what a waste of development time it would be to go BACK and update professions for early level stuff. I 100% do not understand that complaint.
My most ANNOYING THING is the combo points bugging, after almost EVERY fight my combo points will be fill in INCORRECTLY, showing I have 5 combo points when I have 0. This constantly screws me up and doesn’t fix until I gain 5 points and use them.
It happens with the health bar too it disapears .
Leveling is still way too quick, though.
I'm enjoying this version of the game, doesnt take long and with the crafting board it works, making money in this xpac has been effortless
I’ve been having a hell of a time learning the new system and here I see a dog who’s gotten it figured out. I think it’s time I throw in the towel.

-constantly getting stuck in combat. literally for >15 min earlier today. had to relog 3 times to fix it.
-inscription quest required 15 drops from mobs that only ever existed like 8 or 9 of. long respawns and about a 20% dropchance
-constant laggy zones. not just azure span. sometimes while dragonriding it takes several seconds for abilities to be used, ending up wasting your vigor because you cant move "with it"
-isles racer title not account wide. its kinda fine, since it gives a ton of supplies doing the races. but still..
-literally everything in regards to professions getting nerfed time after time after time aft.. if you were in on it early, you are now MONTHS ahead of the competition.
-economy is in the gutter... understatement of the century
-getting the damn kite from the tuskarr boat literally FORCES you to wait for up to 15min because you can only collect it while the boat is docked. if you're off by a few seconds, thats another 15+ minutes you need to stare at the screen.
The greatest con is that no one used the crafting orders. They need to incentize this system so people actually use it.
I wanna make a video specifically on this at some point; or, well, crafting in general and how it's going so far. It's in my ideas list.
I get that realms are their own servers but I feel things like trading or making guilds with people from other servers should be able to be done since you can see the person infront of you.

as a new player who never played wow and just started this expansion i got lvl 70 in 3 days i had more fun doing that then the actual end game stuff no idea what ur talking about
I have had some luck with Mythic +, but coming from FFXIV where I was a PF savage raider- getting rejected for normal mode raid was a a bit of a shock.
Don't pug wow raids if you are still thinking about how you got rejected for a group. It's a scientific fact that in every pug, only
For as much as I agree with the comment about pugs in wow being a rather toxic environment, I'm afraid that just looking at some guides on YT is unfortunately not enough in week 1 of the raid release.
Yeah sometimes its the people not the game.

I think you should do a video about updating some the old world areas some of them have not been touched since bc especially the citys.
If you didn't complete the mainstory while leveling I don't know what to tell you. I finished it at level 67 and did dungeons the rest of the way.
The "getting weaker" as you level up has been a problem since BFA, and really needs to get taken care of, because I'm sick of it in all honesty.
It called scaling. And it works for many different reasons.
@@inmysoul7 It's called bullshit. I don't want beavers becoming stronger every time I get an item upgrade. Even if overall I kill them 2% faster, the entire point of character item progression is to trivialize content that used to take some time to defeat.
@@inmysoul7 Well it doesnt seem to be working really.
@@jtowensbyiii6018 How am I lying? You can literally log into classic Wrath and raid naxx without doing a single quest.
That and just giving us time to dps once in a while
So thx for making it easier for you..
Oh noo. Players have to finish the main storyline before end game content unlocks?! Suck it up, it doesnt even take all that long to do.
Using Rich seconds into the video... oof, that aged badly
i am a new player. i saw alot of ppl praising dragonflight and alot of the new features and class changes looked fun, so i wanted to give wow a chance, since i always avoided playing it over the years (i dont like subscription models and on top of it this game also has an ingame shop... kinda ridiculous tbh), but i still followed it, bc im a huge mmo nerd.
anyways, curiosity finally got me and so i created an account and actually played the game for the first time up to lvl 20 for free, but never have i seen anything of the improvements that came with dragonflight, except for the talent trees.
For me I have a few more:
(Glare: Crafting)
Ok, lets address the tank issue, tanks were strong in m0 cause it was trivial content. Tanks legit get 1 shot in any form of high m+ right now.
Not sure if Nixxiom knows this but it takes about 10 minutes to unlock your Spark on an Alt, I took my DK to Valdrakken talked to Alextraza and then went to engine and did the 2 quests to get first spark and this was all within 15 mins and I'm not sure that I even had to talk to Alextraza
literally 2 quests xD i don't know why people cry about it
I am a new player to wow.
@@BDenjoyer wtf is wrong with you? I've done EVERY SINGLE QUEST AND DAILY on my main and haven't hit 20 on a rep yet, don't lie to the man
I am currently maining a prot paladin and yeah, in the open world they are incredibly durable but as soon as we step foot in mythic+ dungeons it really starts to hurt
Non of these problems you listed here are not really a problem. People just try their hardest to find something to complain about.
Lol people are complaining that they have to do the story quests that take no time at all? And isn't locked on alts???
The first issue is seriously not an issue at all lol.
That being said, i still like to be up-to-date with how the game is going
Started to enjoy SWTOR quite a lot after the man himself played it on stream and made a few vids on it.
5. OP indeed, they were nerfed ^^
Love ya Nix
Haven't played since Pandaria and have no intention on picking it back up, looks like a shell of the game I once knew and loved.
The engine is not locked. I am far from having completed the MSQ but I have unlocked the engine.
Rich doesn’t approach the game as a game but as content. His opinions have no value.
Forced story mode in order to progress through the game...No thanks. I don't play wow for story and this is one of the biggest L blizzard have made
Bitch much? They've done this for every expansion ever made, stop playing the game, you're hurting yourself and others
My biggest issues are
1) I agree on locked content.
