"Hold on let me think of it while the camera's still rolling....the Great Depression"-John Flickinger
What if you crashed your car while talking about Final Destination? Think about it.
That Vegeta voice, though.
I don't know why but my favorite movie genre is crime. I love The Godfather!
Science fiction is my favorite because you can generally get a more cerebral vibe out of a really well made movie, and they generally have the best visuals. Its also the easiest way to put humanity under a microscope and look at how we do things and where we can improve in life
When you started screaming I almost died laughing. Just wow, that was so random!
John , I fully understand your restaurant preferences ! I'm the same way !
You are a comedic talent, and deserve more subscribers/popularity. Nice video.
@Absolutesublime1 You are a Horror.... fan my friend. Yeah that's my favorite genre around fall time.
Action and Adventure! There are so many sub genres to it that i can always find something i'm in the mood for
my favorite genre - COMEDY. a good comedy movie is one that even though you saw the movie 10 times, the jokes still hold up, you still laugh at them, and you notice little funny parts that you never noticed in the previous 10 viewings.
@m134maggot To be honest they are actually longer wayyy longer. I edit out a lot of stuff and places I go. I just hate waiting hours to upload long videos and editing makes me sleepy.
I agree about the blu plague as I like to call it. I've got the sickness that can't be contained. Always on the hunt for that blu goodness.
Very funny video! I also was thinking of getting 50/50.
My favourite genre would be Action/Adventure. I just love how Action movies can be so entertaining and such a joy to watch. I love just being sucked in into a good action movie for a couple hours.
Awesome Video! Also its my dream as well.
Funniest vid from you so far.
Were you on something while doing this video? You seem to have even more energy than usual here.. love it!
@bruana10 yes misery and emotional break downs are fun to see, its makes me feel better about being me. Longer vid on the way.
What do you think best buy is doing with all these dvds considering they dont sell used stuff??
@R0ckyB4lboa the thrusting part? I was excited.
My favorite is animation because they make me feel good inside
2020 is the best year yet
@ReconnectTMC Yes I once went through a Spielberg Menopause myself after War of the Worlds. I do consider Nolan films a genre of there own.
I'm a really big horror film fan [for the thrills & chills of watching them]. But I'll watch anything if it catches my eye.....
Where do you get your online coupons? I love the Best Buy entrance, by the way. It's pretty much perfect for what can occur in that store.
Horror because it when it scary it has the lasting impression and when it fails it has that lasting impression!
@Mrblumaniac its worth it, one of the best of the year for sure and PQ is perfect.
@paudiemaguire1 safety or freedom which one is more important.
@atreweek100 Got another one coming very soon, thanks.
Horror because their is so much variety
@01Farscape I just don't get how it isint everyones?
@Herc0gs Yeah 80's had it all action and comedy well just those two things.
@flimreviewer952 Yeah Ive seen then all, and I hear it wraps it all up nicely.
Hey John!!!!!! i have a blu-ray addiction too man:)
i also bought 50/50 today. great film, really funny and a few sad parts.
@aerodude73 You might be able to do that, I thought about it. Only bad thing is the coupon says 3 disc combo pack on it. But it should ring up the same on the 2 disc... now I feel like a failure. On a side note I use to photoshop coupons and add bar codes from other offers... I ate for free a lot in college.
In Britain blu rays are really cheap
DarkShroud MXP us brits get underpriced blu rays but overpiced dvds
Horror has always been my favorite genre. When I was younger, my favorite thing to do was to hit up Video Giant. They always had this special: 7 movies, 7 days, $7.00! At least 6 of those movies would always be horror. They've always been the most fun, most interesting to watch. Even a bad, cheesy horror movie can be fun to watch. You can't say that about most other genres. I am a product of the 80s and that's when horror movies were really booming. CGI had to come along and fuck it all up. : (
My favorite genre would have to be the dramedy. I don't know why, but I'm a huge sucker for movies that blend together comedy and heartfelt drama in such a deft manner. Plus 3 of my top 10 favorite directors are part of that genre.
I love almost all genres of film, but my favorite are films that combine several genres together, particularly comedy and drama, maybe with some action or suspense involved. The Toy Story Trilogy is an example of that for me. Yeah, to be honest I love drama movies and movies that make me "feel" something (almost any genre can have a bit of heart in it).
@Scarecrow76 yes 50/50 did make me laugh maybe not cry but almost.
This is the begining of the legend. The fight against the big blue dragon with A mid- evel voice. Favorite action: Terminator 2 Comic book: iron man Horror: saw 1-7 sci fi: District 9 & the matrix Comedy: tallidega nights
@donniedarkodevotte I use to go to the video store and rent horror films with the coolest covers and was usually let down by most of them... I still remember Shocker.
Comedy. When its good its just such a good time to watch. then action because its awesome, and last horror when its actually scary, which is like never
@ds37 I always talk about the road with a friend and Duvalls wooden shoes.
BTW, why did you pass up Sin City before? Great movie. I got the Blu-ray but haven't watched it yet. Glad it looks good.
@knotightul Yes you nailed it, Mind bending journeys thats what what I need too.
@jakep121 gritty British movies never heard those two words put together... like which ones.
@Beatwolf your right, but its good fluff.
@TomVeliotis google real steal coupon you will find it. Or blu-ray.com
@BenGriffithsReviews same here, I like drama now a days.
Man I really wanted to pick up 50/50 but i thought it was going to have a DVD combo pack, but it was just the bluray.
@TheDVDGamer nope not yet.
@theUNFATEDone Yeah I like heist films as well so that kind of falls into that.
Favorite Genre? At the moment, Drama. To me a movie's job is to make us feel an emotion(terror, hilarity,et cetera) that will let us escape real life. And when I watch a powerful drama, there's something that draws me into the plot. However this could be a subject to change as im still young.
i like comedy the best because they are movies you can watch over and over.
@fuman0010 sci-fi does open up the mind and makes you ponder life.
The road is one of the best "end of the world" movies that I have ever seen. Then comes Blindness with Julianne Moore and Mark Ruffalo and 3rd plac I am legend.
@St33ben Thanks
@theFLICKpick my brother bought it, but i'm planning on getting the DVD because i don't have a personal bluray player.
Hey John what did u think of Final Destination 5
@Bk94541 Cant wait to see the Bridge scene, Im actually about to watch it now.
Where did you get the online coupon?
hey what did you think of raging bull
@aerodude73 I like to over emphasize words and expressions.
@starkingbiker Yeah epic action with drama too.
Action + Fantasty (together) and I also love me a good Thriller film. Examples include Lord of the Rings, Big Trouble in Little China, Memento, Chinatown etc
My favorite type of superhero movie is batman I think that counts cause he has so many movies!
@Bk94541 Cant wait to watch that bridge scene Im actually about to pop the blu-ray in right now.
@AnimeFanOnly2009 suspense yeah anything to keep me on the edge is good.
comicbook cause ya i like to see superheros come to life
Fantasy/Horror/Animated. Your intro sounds alot like Zombieland. Real Steel is good fun. 50/50 is amazing, I dare you not to cry/laugh. Final Destination 5 is good fun too.
@Scarecrow76 agreed and that = fun.
@MasterLeonidasFong no, I do go other places.
i love final destination 5, i am a huge fan of the series. you should only watch the 5th if you've seen the first. i don't have a fav. genre, i range
@zillzultraboy fair enough, yeah I always found action to be my sweet spot.
Westerns. I know that's rare but i like Westerns the best. Something about the horses and old guns just makes me salivate.
@nightstardust ... yeah
@marciano315 I can agree with that.
@talc89a You have a valid point.
Crime films. For sure. It's always interesting to see the dark, gritty underworld of crime. Favorites include Se7en, The Godfather, The Departed, as well as Zodiac.
@MasterSword812 You have a point hmmm well it sounded catchy.
film noir fav genre. Gritty dark badass :)
@omaite1 I just had no urge to watch it anytime soon, but I figured the dvd wasn't good enough for that movie.
The best types of movies are where the character or a group of characters go on an adventure threw out the movie like the good the bad and ugly, Detroit rock city, every which way but loose, adventures in babysitting, forest gump, running scared, shit like that.
@CoreyReviews This is Sparta!! Yeah I sounded like Gerard from How to train a dragon.
@slashermoviereviews agreed.
@dkreegz515 I agree some comedy stay funny for ever, I think they have to remind you of a time in your life and connect some how.
I like the old hitchcock thrillers and movie from the 80's mainly childrena dn family films. I mean seriously, all the great stuff came from the 80's, back to the future (my favourite film of all time) the breakfast club, short circuit, ALL THE GREATS!!!!
John,
This is a serious question:
Are you hyper-active? Do you find any 'zen-like' time to reflect on your life?
I worry about you doing too much else when you're driving.
Michael
Sci-Fi At the age of 8 or 9 I got hooked on the Flash Gordon serial movies.
Sci-fi !!!! My favs are all sci-fi, blade runner , alien and aliens , star wars, lord of the rings, etc etc etc.....
@platanopapi Drama usually have the best movies, Shawshank is one of them for me. I agree I think overall mine is drama and action now mix those in a good movie and you own me.
@davisp508 Yeah I really liked 50/50 it would of been in the top 10 of the year had I seen it before hand.
Do Nolan movies count as a genre yet?
waz ur camera on sepia
fantasy such chronicles of Narnia and lord of the rings because there just awesome. and recently superheroes and Disney renaissance.
