They said I was difficult. I have BiPAP and it was 100% covered because I am in Canada and on Disability. But I am not having success so far. Sure I get better quality sleep but at shorter instances with the BiPAP than with nothing. I wake every hour and I got sores on my face, get leaks around my nose, and now have a very sore throat and my tonsils are inflamed. I am so exhausted and wondering if anything will work. I just got this machine less than a month ago and so many issues. Also I am told I might have chin drop so might have to also get some sort of neck brace for sleeping with the full face mask I use. I just want to sleep.

Yeah, that strap that's supposed to hold your chin up doesn't work either.

There’s many options, keep looking for something that works. My mom was given a BiPap machine but wouldn’t use it. She just passed away in August. I’m on this video because I was thinking about using it since it’s here and I’ve heard people feel amazing after using these machines.

So sorry to hear your experience. How's your health otherwise, like weight and iet? Did you experiment with food? Like completely avoiding inflammatory food like carbs, sugar, seed oils etc? Like a carnivore diet or something? Just curious about your journey. I'm not as severe as you but my sleep has been fucked for so long now, can't do normal everyday things anymore. Takes me about 2 hrs to get out of bed after waking up. Even then no energy to do anything. Mental state is always negative as a result. Drown myself in UA-cam videos or video games instead of harcore drugs to numb my thoughts.

I'm having an issue finding information on how to understand the values from a sleep report on the machine from the previous nights sleep.

Does this help central sleep apnea? I heard there is nothing you can do for it.

Because its mostly to do with the brain rather than an obstruction, can be from excessive drug/alcohol use, but then even the CPAP can cause these due to breathing irregularities, if you have problems with nasal or jaw these could be contributing to the CSA.

I have CSA and OSA and am on BiPAP. Seems I have more central than obstructive.

BiPAP machines with ST or ASV mode work well for a lot of CSA patients. Your doctor might be able to help here.

Ya but doctors don't want you to know that in case you screw up your care. ;)

Unfortunately, doctors and other medical personnel are not perfect, they are imperfect humans with education and specialized training. But the information that patients cannot change their pressure setting is totally incorrect. The information is readily available online and in a cpap forum or 2. So patients do play the dangerous game doctor and do readjust or set up and enter their own cpap pressure settings.

That is correct. You can’t change the pressure of machine if you have been prescribed CPAP therapy.
