I’m a Manila Filipina born and bred, we are all sisters, whether city or province. There’s many misconceptions about city Filipina..we cannot cook, we don’t clean, we are not god fearing etc. If you come from a good family in the city, you will be schooled in etiquette and making sure you have a career as you will not be a burdon and you’ll be able to help family and friends maybe in their time of need. As well as having all the traditional traits as described above. My mother passed away and my father left the country and I managed to get a scholarship to the Manila university a year early due to my grades. My mothers side looked after us and while I studying and In between I was a model/and on tv etc..well known Philippines tv show. I decided though after finishing a year early at uni ..that money was not good enough so I embarked on a career in the banking sector with 2 American banks ..I put my two brothers through university with my salary etc. I could go on ..but it’s my firm believe being in the city and being around the better universities/ education gave me better opportunities in life as when your interviewed and you cite your history, internships and general outlook helps in the workplace. This experience amd opportunities also has given me exposure to dating ..and knowing what type of guy i ultimately I would prefer. I was unmarried and with 1 previous relationship when I met my now partner of now 6 years. And waited 5 years inbetween relationships ..what I’m trying to get over here is the misconceptions about city girls are not wholly true and I’m living proof of that. Although I’m certainly more modern in outlook 😊..I wish everyone the best of luck whether it be a city/province Filipina..we love for life. God bless 🙏

Hey Kelly, I checked out your channel and subbed. Since you shared so much of your personal Bio and status already would you mind filling in the other primary piece of the puzzle all us guys want to know.... since you mentioned "knowing what type of guy i ultimately I would prefer..." Would you mind sharing just what was your criteria for selecting a guy (physical, financial, social, spiritual, mental/character). Another one of the preconceived notions regarding city girls is just what kind of guy they're looking for. Generally retiring Expats feel more comfortable/confident in engaging (pun intended) with a Province girl in that they may have Mate Standards that are more appreciative of (or inline with) the usual Retiring Expat Profile. It's plain to see that you are anything but "typical" still I am curious about your thoughts/preferences. Salamat po. Peace and Love, B Goat

Nice video, thank you. When I was searching through hundreds of profiles , I must admit I was more drawn to provincial women ( less makeup, a far simpler life, etc. ). Maybe in the back of my mind I was a little worried about city girls having been exposed to too many western influences and worried that they would be a lot like the women of the west. Was it wrong of me to think that way? Who knows, I own it regardless. Rob I said it before and I will say it again, you've got an angel there ... 😎

Dear Chrissy and Rob - Chrissy you have once again given a wonderful description of the subject, country and city. The description covers most countries around the world, unfortunately it often takes a generation or two before rural areas get a higher standard of living. This was also the case in Denmark years ago, today it is only the prices of building plots that are still a little cheaper in the countryside :-) Best regards to you both from Denmark 😂

Chrissy, I liked your topic this week. I might add that "in general" not only might retiring Expats find the Province Girl Profile more appealing but Also that We (as Retiring Expats) are more appealing to the Province Girl... rather than the City Girl who typically may have higher, even more Western Style, criteria for Mate Selection. There is also a common presumption that there is a higher concentration of "In-Person" scammers in the City because they have often dated Expats before and are much more sophisticated at playing "The Game" with would-be suitors. Your thoughts on that?? Peace and Love, B Goat

Hello Chrissy.!!! great content as usual I just have a question question is as a Westerner and a man of color I noticed most of vloggers they talk indepth about many things in terms of the Philippines but however there is one thing that is not really addressed kind of skipped upon and that's the colorization I mean I check all of the boxes of successful intelligent financially stable, yes if I may say so myself very handsome that's no "Cap" but no one has ever seen to talk about is why is colorization such a problem I mean you can meet a Filipina woman or a Thai woman and she seem to like you and want to be in a relationship with you but the whole concept of colorization takes shadow and Prevalence over everything and it's just funny to me.!! I'm not trying to put you on the spot per se I was just wondering you're prospective on The subject matter.??? Thanks again ❤❤

Chrissy. First, allow me to mention, I stopped this video as you were going to describe your experiences. The picture I am looking at now is with you standing on the left with who appears to be mostly children and maybe an adult or two. All the faces are blurred or hidden.
This is very good information. I consider it neutral, not favoring one over the other. But still explaining the differences in mindsets, beliefs, standards, preferences and habits due to what they are exposed to.
I, myself, am very interested and intrigued by the Philippines, and I am seriously considering moving there.
I did not know there were colleges in the provinces. Maybe not all provinces, but at least in some provinces.
Thank you for providing that fact.
I can see why people in the Philippines might be drawn to the west or western lifestyles.
But I also see the draw of foreigners to the Philippines.
Combined, I sense the possibility of a preferred union between a western man and a Filipina, whether from the city or the province.
I do appreciate this video and its content.
You mentioned that sometimes, some people might under estimate a province girl, and to be honest, I was interested in province girls, but also underestimating them.
I do not want an uneducated woman, but I also don’t want a woman with western aspirations.
So, the information you provided to us in this video is quite good and very useful.
From what I gathered, educated province girls are more sensible (low maintenance) than city girls. I believe that to be true worldwide.
And, I favor the ‘underdog’ as long as they have the right intentions. And it seems to me, from the information you provided, that province girls are motivated to improve their lives but with the right intentions still in mind.
Either way, province girls or city girls, they are each individuals, and it comes down to the western man and the Filipinas preferences in a spouse.
For me, it’s less about the material things and more about the character traits and personality of the girl and how they match the character traits and personality of a western man.
Again, thank you for this very informative video. For me, it is very valuable information.
    You did a good job.
Now I will listen to your experience from a province girl now living with a westerner in the city.
    Best wishes to you both.

I can tell the difference between province and city girls that are vloggers. Province vloggers talk about more simple things for the most part and rarely about sex. City vloggers talk about more western topics for the most part. Also they talk about sex in almost every vlog. I say for the most part bcuz it's not always the case. So I could fall for a Province girl to halfway between Province and city girls. I wouldn't allow myself to fall for a city girl from let's say Manila. They're too westernized. One vlogger from Cebu city interviewed 2 girls from Cebu city and they were like American girls. They said they didn't need a man bcuz they're useless and they make their own money. They were into American style modern feminism. That's not everywhere yet, but you can bet it will spread. Mostly bcuz of the information they have access to through their phones.

I was listening to Rabbi Friedman talking about the psychological drivers of men and women.
Men came from dust, so the binary fear is zero. Be something or you are nothing.
The woman came from man and so she can never be a zero. Instead, 1-10 is her binary. Her fear is returning to the man. And her nurturing runs of justification. The more you pull on her the lower her binary. “Don’t need no man” that is the western theme song (spreading as you say is because she is racing to 10.
Ever heard of a wive’s night out? No. They get together with gal pals and it’s a “girl’s night” out. Being a wife pulls on them.
Best you can do is say thank you for what she does (gives justice) and hope that she sees how the Snake is trying to fool her once again.
Why shouldn’t you eat the apple? 🐍 Likely they will eat again and men will have to settle for AI wives 😂

So you have to decide if she is afraid or not able to travel initially if she is worth having you visit her in more remote places. I wouldn't worry about your security as much as the time commitment of getting to and from these more remote places. It could also be that she can't take time off to travel AND spend time with you as she may be traveling the cheapest way possible, which is usually the slowest as well. As Captain Obvious and @Travellling Man write- find a smart, hard-working lady, and I think you will find she will adapt. You may find they don't want to leave their family or province as well as a lifestyle thing. Family is so important to most Filipinos. Again, identify that early on, and then you can make a smart decision.
