    The 2025 Subaru Forester is a significant step up from the previous 2024 Subaru Forester, especially in seat comfort and ride/handling. One thing the new Subaru Forester carries over is Subaru's excellent reputation for off-road capability and overall safety. The 2025 Subaru Forester is also incredibly spacious, particularly when it comes to carrying cargo with the rear seats folded. While Megan really liked the new Subaru Forester's styling, I was ambivalent towards it. I think it looks better than previous Subaru Forester models, but that's not saying much. One thing that we both agree on is the fact that the Subaru Forester is amazingly easy to live with and comfortable for all passengers; we also agree that the Subaru StarLink infotainment system is just lackluster, but the feature set in this Subaru Forester Limited is pretty comprehensive considering the high $30k price range. What do you think of this Jack of all trades and master of none? It might be exactly what you're looking for if you want something with all around usability that's also incredibly safe. Let us know what you think, and check out our other Subaru reviews below!

    Thank you for the video! I’m researching small SUVs , until I get to drive some back to back, the forester has the lead on paper to get the all wheel drive and fog lights

    I went with the 2025 Forester last week, because the 2025 Outback kept the TCV on the 2.5L motor. The Forester removed the TCV THANK GOODNESS!!! Now i am extremely happy we went with Forester over Outback. 😊

      I'm looking at the 2025 it's hard to decide what year to get. 2022 is much cheaper

    Without going back to hear exactly what you said, but I was wondering about the “air” you mentioned. Was there a change in heater capacity???

    Have owned both. The CR-V is much better overall plus it's better styled especially in its current generation

    Note: This Forester, Rav4 and CRv's are not "midsized" sport utilities. They are compact vehicles.

      Considering the size and cargo capacity of this class of vehicle now, they are much closer to midsize SUVs than compact vehicles. Categories have become blurred and mostly pointless as names. It's really space that defines the vehicle these days.

    Is this stable and secure on the highway doing 75-80 mph?

    • @jax1079
      @jax1079  29 днів тому

      Can confirm. We drove hundreds of miles at 75+ mph. No problem at all. In fact, thanks to the new seats, it's a place where the Forester shines now. Only downside is the average radar cruise control.

      @@jax1079 I don't feel very good on my 2024 RAV4 Hybrid on the highway. The suspension is not very good.

    Great real time couple review. It might be better if each could speak without being interrupted constantly by the other. Just saying. I found the interruptions distracting! Sorry!

      Now in my 39 years of teaching I insisted on a fairly quiet classroom to “respect the classroom, as a place for learning!” I actually had that written onto the white board as a reminder. Yup old school I am. Got a lot of mileage from it though.

    It's one of the highest rated vehicles by Consumer Reports, higher than the CRV. I just can't get over the $3K price increase, especially considering the powertrain.

      I get what you are saying, but unfortunately everything is trending that way. Pulled the trigger on a 2025 premium and really couldn't be happier.

    Very detailed video. Really enjoyed it. Just one question: why would a full time AWD car be popular in a region where there is no snow, & little chance to go off roading? I'm in Canada, so having a Subi certainly would have an advantage over just FWD cars, or part time AWD.

    • @jax1079
      @jax1079  2 місяці тому

      My guess is the sandy conditions and soil found in coastal regions, especially Florida. The soil in much of coastal Florida is like sandy dirt, and I imagine that a Subie would be pretty rugged and capable without having to step up to larger trucks and SUVs

      Much better in rain and oil rounds especially with sandy surface

      I live in Louisiana where it's common to get 6" of standing water in residential streets after a deluge. The extra ground clearance and superb traction of this AWD help me to get through.

    In Manitoba Canada with tax this car’s freight comes in at a whopping $2300 and a total cost with tax its $515000. Ouch. Over priced for a “Limited” trim!
