we dont want more technology, we want a truck we can afford. We don't want a truck that Ford advertises around 30k to cost 50k at the dealership. Americans need a 20ish k pickup that does nothing but drive, have a bed and tow very light trailers.
But Pepperidge Farms ain’t just gonna keep it to Pepperidge Farm’s self free of charge. Maybe you go out and buy yourself some distinctive Milano cookies, maybe this whole thing disappears.
It also had less features. That's like saying I remeber when Company ABC use to sell VS cognac for $20, now they're only selling VSOP for $27. The completely stripped down model doesn't exist anymore and if you want it, congratulations because you'll pay less than $20k being used on the resale market.

An entry level Maverick for about 20K with a bench seat and vinyl floor covering would be great. Unfortunately, Ford doesn't have the capacity to build as many of these trucks as the market demands so the more expensive models are prioritized.
It is cheap AND the sales are very healthy for this model. You lost the plot, where profitability drives industry decisions.

They appear to be hard coded at the bottom of the screen and are there and visible all the time. If you use it a few times it will seem exactly the same. Get over it.
You know it may not be so bad. The screen is probably easy to replace if it goes out. It would be nice if the entire HVAC got more simple, and easier to work on(no blend doors or anything is the dash easier to get to heater core).
Some say there could be benefits, or it won't be so bad. Here's the thing: EVERY control you repetitively adjust while driving should be intuitive, tactile, and to the greatest degree possible, NOT require you to remove your eyes from the road. I'm typically against expanding any kind of regulation, but this is an area where auto manufacturers evidently cannot police themselves, to the detriment of everyone's safety. Clearly we need regulation in this area. Putting everything in a screen is a cost-savings measure (Hello Tesla), but drivers mostly hate it and makes our roads less safe. I don't have to look at anything but the road when I adjust the climate controls on my current Maverick. Not so on the new one, and that's a huge step backwards for this model.
I was not expecting 4,000 pounds towing with the hybrid. That is very impressive. Some will claim that's not enough power for that weight but they weren't around in the '80s when we were doing more with less. Obviously you wouldn't want to tow that much every day, but for a few times per year for most people it should be adequate.
People always complain about power. I grew up driving S10s with the V6 that was developed in the 80s and it barely put out 190hp and that and the 3 speed was enough. Now we have people claiming the new Chevy Traverse with its 300hp turbo 4 is "anemic." My opinion is that it is a "skill issue" as the kids would say. If you can't figure out how to make 200 horses move your crap, you either have to much crap or are a poor cowboy. Edit: and to put my money where my mouth is. My wife drives a Hyundai Venue with its tiny little N/A engine that only puts out a little over 120hp. That little thing took me, my wife, our kid and all the things we needed for a week-long vacation 7 hours away from our home and across the Appalachian mountains. Not once did I think it needed more power on the drive. Never failed to keep highway speed, even with our luggage on the roof effecting it's aerodynamics and even up hill managed to maintain speeds of 75mph.
This truck weighs over 3500lbs. Has plenty of power. Will tow 4k easy. Probably can tow 6k for short trips if you know what your doing (if you overload your 4k load probably won't notice). Has the extra braking of of the electric motors.
We've just gone full circle when a car is a massive purchase second only to a house. Growing up few people bought a new car, much less changed it every two years. In the past 20 years we've become accustomed to always having the latest stuff. Times are changing and we're back to really evaluating whether a new car is a necessity.
When the 2022 Maverick came out, it was $22k with hybrid standard. Now it's $26k? Wow! None were available in 2022 without the excessive dealer markup. So I ordered one in XLT. Due to supply issues, they couldn't build a 2023 for us. So they built a 2024 instead and we took delivery in Jan 2024. The 2024 came standard with a 2.0L and hybrid was a $1500 increase. Also the 2024 models came with a $2000 increase. Ford honored our original hybrid order and price. I then ordered and installed the Ford accessories, fender trim, tailgate lettering decal, hood and lower door decal, tailgate drop shock, and roll-up tonneau cover. My wife gets an average of 45mpg. She LOVES her Maverick! She lets me drive it to the dealer for a carwash once a week...😄
I waited a year and a half for my 22 maverick and I ended up with a 24.. had to fight the dealer to honor the price they gave when I had given my deposit. Luckily my dealership didn't mark the price up but they did other sneaky shit!

That's what I guessed as well. Plus you could see in that very first graphic he showed, it mentioned "Standard hybrid FWD" which implies there's an optional AWD.
Less horsepower, the best color they’ve made in years only available for one year, no climate control buttons other than the screen. This leaves a lot to be desired compared to the old maverick in my opinion.

Be careful, people. The demands of the public take the vehicle away from what it originally was. A cost affective little truck. The AWD Hybrid is amazing. But, if you keep going it'll no longer be affordable. Midsize trucks used to be affordable, but the increased options and demands removed that desirable point. Now, this seems to be happening to the small trucks.
I agree but if we like it are we not supposed to buy it? The real trick is not not pay dealer markup and if you were like me I don't pay msrp for anything! I always expect a discount on anything I buy or I simply walk away! More people need to understand there's always room for a discount ! What's the worst they can say? No! Who cares. Someone else will say yes! My time is very valuable and I get paid when I get the discount no matter how long it takes!
Used to get a base 4 cyl extended cab with no features at all not even power windows for 18-20k maybe 15 -20 years ago even then a pro 4 x was 35-37k they just got rid of the cheap cheap options, makes, these actually seem like a good deal
@@Frankrizzo619 ? In 2004 I bought a 6 cylinder tacoma trd extended cab with long bed for 18k, with AC, power windows, cruise control and 5 speed manual.
The people asking for more where people paying 30-40k for a truck marketed for 20k. The initial idea for the truck was never a option. So they have added things the people that were genuinely excited for this option never asked for. I can understand how the people that payed 50% over MSRP felt like they needed more. Quality with recalls seems to have been a huge issue. Warranties sound nice until you constantly dealing with not having a dependable vehicle. Long repair times. I loved the initial concept but they just crapped all over this.
@@plmn93 Yes a lot of people bought the cheapest truck option with limited supply. Over paying for it significantly also. Consumer satisfaction is mid or lower. Most will have negative equity. But I'm sure will be a home run.
ford knew what they was doing ... damn truck was never meant to be 20k ... they just be playing games because they know there's a demand for a simple small pickup ...
The current one NOW starts at 24k, this new one at 26k, that's 'just' 2000 difference for some improvements, I don't see the issue. I think it's just a 'better' vehicle now. Also, all the recalls it had were the first ones, something 'normal' on NEW cars, but it's also based on a well known platform around the world (Focus IV/Kuga), and the 2.0 EcoBoost engine is a well known engine that it's been for years around the world.. I don't think is like a GM product (look at the Traverse issues). I think the Maverick was very cool at 21k but honestly it's still a good buy since it's less expensive than the Escape or Bronco Sport, so if you want it to use it as a family hauler you can at a better price.
@@FacuGonz3 It's 30k plus. Try to buy a starting at price truck. With rebates most end up 2000 or so cheaper the a base f150. Coincidence? Nope. F150 is a far better option in just about every way. especially for "just" 2k more...
I want a base model truck, two-wheel drive, no hybrid, sub-20k price. Like what we could get in the 80's and 90's but of course adjusted for inflation.
Interesting that the $20,000 number is somewhat inflation realistic and yet misses the point. Back in my day😂 I actually bought new a Toyota 1992 pickup ultra base truck. The '92 MSRP $8,998, inflation adjusted to 2024 = $20,163. I thought that truck was great back when but it would be a HORRIBLE truck in 2024. If Toyota put out the same truck today.... no rational person would pay $20k. In my opinion the Maverick is an amazing value even when comparing it to nostalgic myths like the Toy pickup (before tacos)
I really like these trucks but the msrp getting higher is driving me away. By the time I’m ready to buy one they won’t be worth the asking price. I will say the cluster and touch screen were a much needed upgrade. Only other big flaw on the interior IMO is the steering wheel controls. I’ve driven a maverick a few times and the controls are cheap and hard to press. They are just to small. I’m used to my f150 having large buttons. I understand the price will go up by adding these things but the fact the msrp went up $4k from 22-24’ just shows it’s all about the profit at the end of the day. People keep blaming it on inflation.
Unfortunately, it Ford lost it's way controlling dealers marking these up some $10k in many cases derailing their initial path of an affordable (comparatively) compact pickup. Meanwhile, Ford's recent quarterly report showed they lost $1.1 Billion in their EV endeavors and now the Ford Lightning is being outsold by the Tesla Cybertruck as Lightning sales have stalled an they can't give them away. Ford is squandering the chance it had with the Maverick by letting it's resale prices kill the model and initial waiting lists vaporized into thin air...
Hell yeah! AWD Hybrid that can now tow 4k all while still getting 40mpg! I do think the old face still looks better but I might trade my 22 hybrid in for this!
The hybrid's low tow rating was my main reservation with these trucks. I think both engine options have their merit, but the hybrid was very appealing to me but I needed that 4000lb towing. Glad to see they are making that change!
My 2023 Maverick Hyvrid has about 30,000 mi has been completely flawless and haules everything that I need, including concrete bags, appliances and furniture. Great gas mileage with anywhere from 40 to 50 mpg. Totally cute and I have zero regrets on buying this truck for under $30k.
I have a 2022. It is going to go to my son for his first vehicle in a few years. Good to see the evolution of the truck. It’s not a bad little truck at all. I am pleased with mine.
I just want an affordable efficient DURABLE small pickup that will LAST, as in decades of light use. I refuse to buy a “new” throw away vehicle especially as expensive as they are. Keep all the “features” and make it durable as hell and affordable!

Why would anyone buy a tacoma when they get half the fuel economy, double the price to fix, have failing diffs/transmissions and base price cost as much as a heavily work options maverick. Think if you're a fleet manager or something. Are you buying 30 new mavericks with built in work boxes, racks, plug ins etc for $34k/each or are you buying a bunch of base model tacomas, upgraded for the auto, at 36k+ each without features. The answer is clear
Man starting at 27k… no physical hvac they made some good changes then snot themselves in the foot. It originally started at 20 just 2/3 years ago. The price is the whole point and they’re jacking it up. If you’re paying in the 40s for this truck just get a mid size
Have a new 24 Maverick hybrid Lariet. Ended up paying around 37k. It’s got every feature which works for us. Still way less money than any other truck. Very impressive little truck. Very comfortable and hauls drywall and other light duty chores with ease. Average mpg is 43.
I just bought the 24 Lariat Hybrid. I absolutely love it. Gas mileage is incredible. It is spacious enough for my family of 5. The ride is great. And the bed components are fantastic. (Did I mention all of the aftermarket parts that elevate the Maverick?). I definitely recommend it. I’m considering buying a Tremor version soon down the road!
If they made an access cab version, I’d be all over this. Take a foot from the back seat and give it to the bed, and I wouldn’t consider any other truck on the market. 4.5 ft is just too damn tiny for my use case
Yeah, but I think they're targeting the Home Depot/weekend home improvement crowd, that also want a crossover, with this, whereas they hope that folks like you will be happy with the Ranger.
For the people complaining about the prices of the higher trim models, not everyone buys small trucks on price alone. Some people just don't want a large truck. Comments like "I could buy an F150 for that" are dumb, because not everyone wants a truck that size. I just downsized from a Tundra to a Tacoma and I could not be happier. 10 years driving that Tundra, I was ready to something easier to get around town in.
It's not dumb to say you can buy an f150 for that price because it's true this was supposed to start at 18 K and up Ford is dropping the ball on what this was supposed to initially be as an affordable bare pickup. If it's hitting 40 grand and up yes I can get an f150 for that I'm going to get my money's worth . You would be dumb not to.
@@ITSANGEL. Yeah, they definitely need to fix the price overlap between models- hell, even between trims. Only reason to get a smaller truck at that price is if you genuinely don't have the space for that smaller truck. But to play devils advocate- why get an F150 when you can get an F250 for the same price? Or even a 350 for the price of a 250? Or a 450 for the price of a 350 if you're willing to give up a few options, depending on the price. See where I'm going with it? The other thing to consider- if you're a truck buyer who doesn't care about payload and towing, (which they have done studies, the majority of people don't even use it as a truck, but that's another issue), a $45 for example is "F150 territory", but a $45K F150 is essentially a base model, with a few options, while a $45K Ranger is a higher trim(XL/STX F150 vs respectably loaded XLT Ranger). Unfortunately, the fancy stuff is what the majority of truck buyers care about(as much as UA-cam commenters love to puff out their chest and act like the majority- not saying things shouldn't be different, but that's how it is). And before we go new vs used, I'm talking strictly new vs new. Apples to apples. But with that said, yeah I'm in the same boat. $40K, I'm *at least* going to get a Ranger, if not a used F150. IMO the price hikes are killing what made the Maverick a really appealing option.
@@ITSANGEL. Every single thing on the planet from a Big Mac, to a Jumbo Jet has gone up 10-20% in price since this vehicle was announced. And you can still get one of these for $25,000. There's one for $26,000 down the street from my house. And I'd bet I could talk them down to 25k. That's crazy cheap in todays world for a nice little 4 dr truck.
@@ITSANGEL. You'd be dumb to not buy something you don't want? I just told you that I drove a large full-size truck for 10 years (and that wasn't my first) and I got tired of it just like got tired of my K5 Blazer in the 90s and downsized to a 4runner back then. Not everyone wants a full size truck all the time.
The sad part is people demand more features from these economical trucks and when the manufacturer does add it and raise the prices. The customers start whining.
The people who wine about the price weren't really going to buy it anyway and likely have never priced out anything else recently. Ford hit a sweet spot with this thing and the sales numbers prove it.
@plmn93 Yes, the price is good right now, but give it another 3 years with manufacturers continually adding features and compare the prices from today.
they did it with the 2024+ f150. big screens on all models and other standard features as well as extra standard features on other trim levels, then when the price went up a bit they all whined about it.
Just so you know, Ford lost money on the $19,995 Maverick. They probably don't make much on the base still and it's still a decent price. Name me one vehicle that size and with 250 horsepower standard that is better.
I think it’s ironic how for the past few years so many people have been asking for features like AWD hybrid, 4k hybrid, complaining about the small screen and the “useless” cubby, etc, etc; and now Ford is offering those features and people complain about the price. Let’s be real, when the Maverick was announced at starting just under 20,000, that was a little too good to be true. It’s still affordable for a NEW vehicle and offers a lot more than something like a civic which starts in the same price range. Personally I’m really excited for this refresh and think there were some much needed tweaks made Anyway there’s my TED talk. Now feel free to let me now how horribly wrong I am
I’m actually cool with everything you said. I’ll probably get the tremor with the 360 cameras. Ask for msrp out the door because sales tax here in California for a new vehicle purchase is INSANE. Lastly I’d get the extended warranty, because well it’s a ford

I traded for a Chevy Bolt and a Toyota Land Cruiser and both can be more useful than my truck was in many ways. I bought 10' piping from home depot the other day and strapped it to the roof rack on my Bolt. Those pipes would have been hanging out of the back of my truck 2-3'. And it cost me 1/10th the price to drive to home depot. The ONLY thing my truck was better at was if I needed to haul something very large in the bed, in which case I can put a 4x8' utility trailer behind my bolt in about 5 minutes and have even more space and payload capacity than my truck. Simple change but for anyone who tows, the chain hook ups beside the receiver hitch is fantastic! On the other hand, the CVC tranny is a big negative. Needed to go to 2K watt pro power on board, and then it is a good tow rig for a smaller trailer. As mentioned, brake controller is a plus, location is a minus. Dump the sunroof, it's just a future maintenance issue. Dash and screen are a big plus. Love the green! Overall, Ford did a great job! Good competition to the Toyota Tacoma. Toyota's tend to have miserable payloads, and the newest Toyota motors have issues. Ford does need to embrace PLUG IN hybrids!
This is an e-CVT like what Toyota uses which should not be confused with the notorious steel-belt-driven Jatco CVTs that Nissan and others use. These have a good track record.

I’m like some other commenters that a regular cab with a longer bed would sell. I bought a Ford extended warranty from Flood Ford and saved a good chunk of change after I bought my F150 from my local dealer.
30k just to get cloth seats, No car play, no cruise control.. and so on. You're probably better off going and getting like a honda or toyota for lime 32k getting leather and all the tech and the welding a tow hitch onto the back of it.
I wished they would offer it official in Europe/ Germany. The styling is good. Especially the updated interior looks better then before. It is more calm and mature then before. If they would bring it here for almost the same money as in the USA, they could sell some. But for here it would be ok if it is only the hybrid.
I don't like those headlights. Looks like a cost cutting measure to me. Which I guess has always been the theme with this truck and isn't a completely bad thing.
Back when I drove a Fiesta as a rental, one thing that really bothered me was the infotainment display being very vertical + bit lower for the eye level. Especially displaying vertical, very could get used to it.
Once again, Ford was losing money at $19,995. People forget you now get 250 horsepower standard for $26,000. I remember the debate back when this truck was a mystery and it was rumored it would be around $20k. The 2.0 Ecoboost and hybrid were obvious but some people thought it'd have the 1.5 3cyl Ecoboost to make that price. The hybrid being the actual base was beyond bargain. Now the 2.0 Ecoboost is standard. Nobody can name me one vehicle currently that is this size and has 250 horsepower standard cause it doesn't exist. That's a bargain these days. You could get a heavier Santa Cruz with 188 horsepower that is not even adequate.
@@CarsMadeSimple just caught that. Reason they switched before was not enough hybrid engines. Now it's back but I think the difference is very low cost.
This is always how it starts. They take something good and rather than leave it alone they have to make it bigger, make it faster, more tech, more this and more that. It'll end up being something else entirely and more expensive. This is how we have Honda Civics that are now bigger than mid 90s Accords.
Man, I was really hoping for a single cab configuration, like the size of an old Ranger. The AWD hybrid is nice though, not sure if I'd want one though
Its practially illegal. The roof crush strength, and fuel economy rules, and chicken tax ensure that Americans never have the freedom to buy a small truck again.
It's a lot more expensive to do different configurations on a unibody platform. With how poorly single cabs sell, they aren't going to do that. Especially when they can't keep up with production as it is.

It also had less features. That's like saying I remeber when Company ABC use to sell VS cognac for $20, now they're only selling VSOP for $27. The completely stripped down model doesn't exist anymore and if you want it, congratulations because you'll pay less than $20k being used on the resale market.

I agree. Prices just keep going up. There seems no relief. The only relief right now is not to buy.
UAW got Fords employees a huge wage. That contributed to a price increase

Ford lost the plot. Maverick was meant to be cheap cheap cheap
It still is cheap cheap cheap for what you get. It starts at only 3k more than a Toyota Corolla hybrid...
@@PleiadesPower Companies are in business to make profit, that means pay labor as little as possible and sell products for the highest amount the market will bare. If autoworkers were paid $2.00 an hour the cars would still be the same price. It's basic economics.
Right. And then everyone demanded more features. So what do you think that does to the price??
Also touchscreen HVAC and radio controls. HARD pass.
So much THIS. Glad I got my 2024 when I did. Heck, I'm even looking to swap in the 2021 Ford Escape HVAC control panel to get the digital readout on the knobs.
This is the future whether people like it or not. This is how they get you warmed up to electric
They appear to be hard coded at the bottom of the screen and are there and visible all the time. If you use it a few times it will seem exactly the same. Get over it.
This is not the case with current models utilizing Carplay/Android Auto.
Give them some time to catch up 😂
Wow, a hybrid/4k/AWD! But... the deletion of physical controls for HVAC makes me happy to keep my older 2.0L FX4.
You know it may not be so bad. The screen is probably easy to replace if it goes out. It would be nice if the entire HVAC got more simple, and easier to work on(no blend doors or anything is the dash easier to get to heater core).
@@darrickcato9499 yeah there could be some upside, but I doubt there is any change to the HVAC system itself aside from the controls.
More and tactilely pleasant buttons would be nice.
IKR. While I like the idea of having a hybrid w/ 4K towing and AWD. I am not a fan of any manufacturers CVT. I’m staying with my 2.0L FX4 XLT as well
I was not expecting 4,000 pounds towing with the hybrid.
I was up in ON, Canada last weekend. I saw a Ford Maverick towing a 12ft enclosed trailer. I'm not sure what's inside the trailer and how heavy it is.
This truck weighs over 3500lbs. Has plenty of power. Will tow 4k easy. Probably can tow 6k for short trips if you know what your doing (if you overload your 4k load probably won't notice). Has the extra braking of of the electric motors.
@@stevenmiller6725 It could definitely pull 6k, but I wouldn't do it under warranty and like you said, not for very long.
If its a low profile dump trailer or atv trailer it should not be an issue at all.
I gave up on these trucks when they hit the $30,000 mark.

Be careful, people. The demands of the public take the vehicle away from what it originally was. A cost affective little truck. The AWD Hybrid is amazing. Now, this seems to be happening to the small trucks.
I agree but if we like it are we not supposed to buy it? The real trick is not not pay dealer markup and if you were like me I don't pay msrp for anything! The people asking for more where people paying 30-40k for a truck marketed for 20k. The initial idea for the truck was never a option. So they have added things the people that were genuinely excited for this option never asked for. I can understand how the people that payed 50% over MSRP felt like they needed more.

I’m a Toyota fanboy but I must say, Ford is killing it with this little truck!
The Maverick is a little more pepier than an aspirated four-cylinder Tacoma.
key word LITTLE!

The base model that was supposed to be 20k got listed as 30k by the dealers... BS.
As an Uber driver who loves trucks and drives in snowy and icy conditions a lot, I can now buy the new Maverick. I really need great mpg and awd/4wd capability.
It's really just the best snow tires that you need versus 4wd or awd.
Maverick, the Evolution of the Ranchero.
I just got my 2024 XL Hybrid after waiting 14 month.....Hard to believe it changed so much in 2025... I like that green a lot.....
GM must be eating a crow for missing out on this highly popular category. Oh well. I guess it wouldn’t be GM if not for its signature feature, General Mismanagement.
I was so caught up in the angle of the camera that I missed what you said twice and I had to go back for it. Speaking of your camera it’s very nice and clear that is really enjoyable.
Thanks, for staying on top of everything appreciate it.
Can we have a 2dr with a longer bed that we can actually use as a truck?
As much as I would like Hybrid AWD, having just bought a used 24 Hybrid Maverick I can say without a doubt I have zero regrets. I absolutely love my truck.
Could you imagine if they made an ST or even RS version of this with AWD and the Mustang’s 2.3L and torque vectoring rear diff?
That would be incredible especially with a manual transmission the only caviot would be the price! Over 40k wouldn't work which is still maxed out!
Andre always brings it!!! His solo TFL segments are the best. Love the mpgs, the footprint of a "small" truck and lower price point of the Maverick compared to larger trucks. But where's the 2 door long bed version we've been hearing rumors about? What's the hold up Ford? Thanks Andre.
Look up the CVT. No belt, planetary gear system. It seems to have been reliable for a decade or so.
When you say good competition to the Tacoma I hope you’re talking about just sales because the 2 don’t compete. However the Ranger and the Tacoma do.
This is an e-CVT like what Toyota uses which should not be confused with the notorious steel-belt-driven Jatco CVTs that Nissan and others use. These have a good track record.
@@plmn93ya an ecvt should be the most reliable transmission design. Should outkast the engine and the car body. However ford installs planned obsolesence into their vehicles....
@@iskdude9922only issue we've had with the ECVT is when they lose fluid. If there is an axle seal leak, it needs to be fixed ASAP or it will turn into a paperweight quickly. Otherwise, many of them on the road with over 200k miles from ford.
I am glad I got the 24 Lariat 2.0 Eco Boost AWD 4K. I have most all the stuff they claim is new because my truck is loaded but I do not have the negatives, loss of 13 HP, loss of physical controls and my front grill looks better IMO. By the way I have been averaging 29 mpg for the whole 11,000 miles and get 34mpg on the highway. Not to shabby.
They will sell every one they make fast
No they wont. In fact, sales will now be 50% LESS than previous years.
Thanks for the updated info on the 2025 my.
the face is nice...the current pricing is not....and they've sneakily removed content each year.
I own 2...2022 my mavericks.
xlt hybrid paid: $24,505 with 6 stand alone options.
xlt EcoBoost, awd, 4ktow, fx4 paid: $29080 with 3 stand alone options.
26000 as a starting price is too high when the maverick first came out it was 20k and the fact that it is being built in Mexico means at 20k they were making a profit Ford just got greedy and figured they would raise the price 6 grand just because they want to be greedy and yes even with the cost of diesel rising and electricity cost going up 6 grand is ridiculous especially for something made in Mexico
Im happy with my 23 hybrid XLT was 24,855 w Lux added 26,940 but the AWD version w 4k tow sounds so tempting!
A rcsb with the 2.3 and a manual. That would be sweet. Who am i kidding i would never buy one because they are too expensive.
That's on you cause it's still less than the Santa Cruz and much cheaper than GM and Stellantis' in this class.
I have a '22 Mavi and love it! Hybrid plus AWD is so tempting to upgrade!
Can't wait to see a Denver 100 maxed out 4000 pound towing test on the awd hybrid
I don't recall them max towing anything on the Denver 100. Correct me if I'm wrong but those are all just regular efficiency testing.
@302Mustang13 I'd just like to see them do it. I don't they've ever done anything like it before
I’m like some other commenters that a regular cab with a longer bed would sell.
I bought a Ford extended warranty from Flood Ford and saved a good chunk of change after I bought my F150 from my local dealer.
They must’ve gave the workers in Mexico that built the Maverick the same raise that the UAW got. When wages go up that much everything goes up.
You can thank DC for the high prices for the past 3.5 years! Vote out the crooks in November! DJT 2024
@@lrich8181asks to vote the crooks out, then promotes a convicted felon.

I do wish my 24 XL hybrid had AWD but I'm glad it has knobs and buttons for controls. I'm also glad it gets better gas mileage AND was under 27k.
Here's what we really want: a 4x4 pickup for
Yup just basic. Don’t need huge screens. Just boring steel wheels and a natural aspirated v6. Why is that so hard.
Get a used one
@@robertcunningham9626 I did. The point is, for what I paid for a used crew cab pickup, I should be able to get a new single cab work truck.
Such a sweet little pickup it just checks so many boxes.
I wish they offered a single cab with a bigger bed I’d go out today and order it.
If you mess up the rear departure calculation, does it ram those plastic bits into the sheet metal?
I’ve managed to tow 5k with mine. You just gotta take the country roads.
All good as long as you don't go to far. Not cool to endanger others.
Great meeting you Andre! Love the content! Keep it up!
🎉🎉😮 FINALLY GOT AWD HYBRID 😊🎉🎉🇺🇲🇨🇦
The new styling looks WAAAAY nicer!!
The front end looks like it should belong on a baby RAM truck with those RAM Horn headlights.. Oh my, that can’t be unseen now.
I don't like those headlights. Looks like a cost cutting measure to me. Which I guess has always been the theme with this truck and isn't a completely bad thing.
@@plmn93headlights kind of look like the c-shaped ones you would find on a GMC.

Back when I drove a Fiesta as a rental, one thing that really bothered me was the infotainment display being very vertical + bit lower for the eye level. Especially displaying vertical, very could get used to it.
$19,995 to $26,000 starting is nowhere near the 8% inflation we were told about
Once again, Ford was losing money at $19,995.
@@302Mustang13 The Hybrid model is the entry engine again
@@CarsMadeSimple just caught that. Reason they switched before was not enough hybrid engines. Now it's back but I think the difference is very low cost.
I feel like since they go back and forth on the base engine ford should allow either engine at the same price since it seems they can't figure it out!
Base trim price is now about the same as where the top trim price was when it debuted just THREE YEAR ago.
Buttons. No more fookin iPads.
@@plmn93 Not one single cab compact truck has sold in the US since 2011, yet you still see them on the road often. I guess they died an unnatural death.
Manufacturers tend to go by actual sales numbers instead of the anecdotal observations of anonymous internet posters.
@emptyshirt It's almost like if you stop offering them they don't sell. I would prefer an F-150 single cab with a decent bed but they're unobtainable unless you get a fleet truck. More excuse to get that Highboy from the 70s.
I have a 2024 that is on rail being shipped - a 2024. Missed out on the bigger screen but so happy it won't have that Fugly front facia! Can't unsee it - it looks like it's blocking half the headlight. If it aint broke, style-wise, they should have left it alone.
On board power and bigger inverters are going to become more popular every year. It is a very useful feature for most people.
Having purchased a 2023 Ford Maverick hybrid I wish I would have waited for the 2025. The green is an amazing colour, AWD on the hybrid would have been great but the 4,000lbs towing on the hybrid was the biggest “Damn” moment I had. I use my Maverick to tow my 2,000lbs teardrop camper, it would have been nice to have that extra wiggle room
Before buying one...go on the forums and see what people are saying about these trucks. I dig them but I've read some real world reviews.
... Lots of people are loving them.
I'm loving my 2023 xlt awd. No complaints yet
