That margarita man is the late singer, song writer Jimmy Buffet. Best known for the song "margaritaville" pretty sure the scene was intentional except for him running back to grab the drinks, but it was so funny they kept it in.
It is really annoying that the herbivores and omnivores don't ever ger love. Ankylosaurus was always my favorite dino. Was hoping with the stun counter mechanic they could have made a anky around that.
Fun fact about the Plains: It's the only one that explicitly has scenes pulled from two halves of the franchise! The front is that iconic scene with the Brontosaurs from JP1, and the back is from JW after Indominus Rex escapes and starts murdering indiscriminately. Also, it's not confirmed, but I'm relatively sure the skull in the foreground of the Island's backside is Indominus Rex's skull, from after the Mosasaur pulled it under at the end of JW. Also: Margarita Man was Jimmy Buffet himself (creator of Margaritaville)
Flickr dilophosaurus for keep doing his -1 counters or that blue or white card that you exile a card from thr bf and then return it every turn will be insane for crowd control.
Like that was such an iconic line from the movie that everyone was saying it. Like it could've been a instant with destroy target creature cause it fits so well. You don't see the instant coming like he didn't see that raptor coming.
I’m so excited to try and get literally any of the dinos in this! I’m really after Malcom, Raptors, Dino DNA, the pteranodon, and of course- the Jurassic park saga (I know that’s like half the set but I love JP so all of these got me geekin rn) I got the Dino precon and got Malcom and Gisath back to back at a prerelease- I literally would’ve done a flip if I could
Pulled Ravenous Tyrannosaurus from my first collector booster, and I couldn't be more stoked to try it out! I'm still pretty shocked by my lucky pull. I'm gonna put it into my Pantlaza precon.
so I've grabbed a bunch of them for deck ideas. my Brokkos, apex of forever poison deck was getting a bit stale so Indominus rex is an easy swap (and I'll still be able to be playing "keyword soup" with the creatures) meanwhile... I've got almost everything ready for when the Indoraptor arrives... it's a pretty vicious build that capitalizes on Ojer Axonil to make the indoraptor be quite massive (and of course... hurt the enemies, for there can only be one survivor). I'm personally torn when it comes to using Blue and Owen, because they're partners they'll definitely want "master chef" though the sheer amount and variety of counters is... it's a lot of information, and I feel a bit better just making temur based on "Me, the immortal" instead, yet find myself glancing back over and over. They can be in the same deck together of course, and with blue "Arcane adaptation" and "maskwood nexus" aren't hard to slap in there to make everything dinosaurs anyways.
Spitting Dilophosaurus could be insane in an infect deck as you put -1/-1 counters on creatures while your dilo sits on the battlefield, making all of their creatures unable to block your attacks. Neat evasion.
Im just putting the finishing touches on my owen/blue deck at the moment. I have been playing mtg/commander for about 3 months and this will be deck #6 but none of my other decks have had green, so i am excited to play some ramp spells and some big timmy dinosaurs. One cool idea i found is using monster manual from baldurs gate to cheat out big dinos like the new ghalta or the winged hive tyrant from the tyranids precon to give all creatures with a counter on them flying and haste (so blue puts a counter on your dinos and then tyrant makes them all fly). Also using dino DNA to imprint an etali from the graveyard to recur etali on subsequent turns sounds gross af.
Technically, the OG one that I was referring to was in 1,4,5,6. The other one in 2 was the two parent trexes, then in 3 was the one killed by the spino
@@PubStompMTG oh I know! I am outraged, I was so excited to make a rexy commander! Jurassic park is my all time favorite movie, but I'll focus on making an indoraptor for now

I didnt even know that! Thats amazing!
Yes because they had a margaritaville in the movie. Loved it!
I intend on collecting all of these. Good video.
I didn’t realize the Compy Swarm stacked like that.

That would have been sweet. We still have a secret lair and hopefully it will get the attention it deserves!

Oh awesome! Glad you pointed that out on Jimmy Buffet. That makes the scene ao much better. Also that is definitely the indominus rex 100%
The man with two margaritas is Jimmy Buffet (recently passed away)! It was a neat easter egg.
My buddy pulled the Indoraptor and is selling it to me so I can build it. Super excited for it!
Indoraptor has me excited to build a unique deck!
Life Finds A Way is an absolute bomb in Atla Palani and Miirym Sentinel Wyrm
I will buy them all like the Transformers set in brother's war :)
Same my friend!

Lol that is nuts. Good thought!
WHAT A TOTAL MISSED OPPORTUNITY TO HAVE A INSTANT CALLED "CLEVER GIRL" 😩 that was an iconic line
I've said it so many times in other videos tbh😂 that's why i didn't mention it here haha

It's definitely my favorite out of the set. Very timmy like card, but it's so amazing!
I just thought of that for gishath when I pulled hunting velocirator

Oh good grief that sounds nutty!!

Good ideas! I like them!
Still cant believe we didnt get an attraction card with this.
Oh duh that would have been flavorful!
The Trex was in all of the movies
Technically, the OG one that I was referring to was in 1,4,5,6. The other one in 2 was the two parent trexes, then in 3 was the one killed by the spino
I'm excited to see your thoughts. Algorithm!!!
🙏🙏🙏
Is this set still available because I want to starting getting into magic with a Dino deck
Yes it is!
How do I get my hands on this?
You can either get the singles on tcgplayer or you could get them in set or collector booster packs
I love how every JP fan is like “Rexy isn’t legendary?! Why????!!!”
Well, when you have a well established dinosaur that a lot of people are fans of and that was in 4 of the 6 Jurassic Movies.. it makes sense.

Grim is pronounced Jai-ganto, like gigantic
