Ryan's training shows the value of doing basic exercises such as the squat, power clean, overhead press and so on without expensive equipment. Just a ton of hard work, great lifting form and one super strong dude. World records have followed.
Nice tips, especially on progression! A note for Joe Average with a daily job and normal nutrition: Training 2x per week - 3 sets per 6 reps with the max. possible weight (benchpress, squats, deadlift). Important: Enough sleep! More burns you out and progress stops quickly.
It's interesting to start/reinvigorate the channel AFTER two Olympic gold medals and while holding the world record. It shows how important these sort of videos are in today's world.
We have been doing this for quite sometimes with my athletes and it help a lot. Most of my athletes are taking sprints events and doing these exercises it helps alot especially their starts.Thank you very much!!!!
I hope that you keep making these videos... I have a game after 6 months and I'm following you everywhere... So keep it up. A state athelete from Delhi, India 🇮🇳
Ryan, really enjoyed the video. The demeanor of a Champion. I'm really impressed at how intuned you are to your body, it's condition, and to it's response to training and conditions. Stay safe, stay healthy, and throw FAR.
This channel will be great....a rare behind the scenes look at a world record thrower and the preparation and training that goes into getting ready for a competition and season. Thanks for putting this out there for all to watch and be motivated by. Best of luck this 2022 season !!!
Love the barbell twists. Been trying to include more rotation and anti rotation in my program but struggling to connect to those movement patterns. Going to try that tomorrow with an empty bar to see if I can open up the trunk a bit.
Also really liked the video Ryan, appreciate the effort that’s been going into these from yourself and Erich. Really informative for people like me on the younger side just trying to learn 👍🏼
Awesome stuff @ryan - sent it to my 16 yr old daughter. She’s a competitive HS Soph glider. Trying to get her to go back to the spin. Thank you for sharing. 💪🏽💪🏽🇺🇸🇺🇸
Hey Ryan, first I just wanted to say that this video was awesome! I also wanted to ask if you could piggy back off your last exercise and share any workouts/stretching for increasing separation in the middle of your throw. Any tips would be extremely appreciated and put to use by my teamates and I! Goodluck at USA's and the throws squad at the University of Rhode Island will be watching!
Haha let’s go these are awesome Ryan! You might have to bring back some smashing things with sledge hammer! Was watching those those the other day! So great!
Hiii Sir❤👑🌎.. I'm Durgesh From India🇮🇳 👑❤.. Sir We Love your Technique too much Sir😍the way You Throw.. 😍😍😍❤wooowww.. Amazing😍👍 Keep posting these helpful videos.. Thank you so much sir❤🌎👑🙏
@9:00 man... my dad told me this so much, id repeat it, peers thought we were idiots... yet i had the Powerclean record at my school... love to see the best in the world saying it. @Ryan Crouser, are standing broad jumps like you did at the end a big addition to your plyos? i havent seen them before
Advice or a look into how you structure your throws and lifts in a week (how many, what time, rest periods) and your strategy behind why would be super helpful
How often do you workout? (-genuine question coming from a curious white girl in North Dakota that lives under a rock. So if it comes off as a snark attack-it definitely isnt. I just finished watching you take your 3rd Olympic gold medal and I am so impressed!)
I know you’re working really hard and getting pretty good results with your throwing. I just saw this German guy use something called the slide or glide or something like that. I think it’s gonna catch on maybe you should try it. That Spinning thing seems like it would make you dizzy. Just something to think about.
snatching 140 from the hip as comfortably (at least it looks it.....) as that is super impressive. As an elite thrower, I'm guessing your leg drive is pretty bloody strong so it makes me think you could full snatch 170 or so at least? And if your C+J is as good as your snatch, the total wouldn't be far off making an international mens team in weightlifting?
Bro at home he needs to hit some DDPY yoga no joke mine are used to sound like that post I blew out my L4 S5. I’m still throwing know Ryan Crouser. But I am a US record holder for my F 12 classification. Just trying to help Bro out.
What barbell is he using? I need an all-rounder for squats, deadlifts, presses, snatches and power cleans / clean and jerks. High quality. Any suggestions?
I don't know what he's using, but I have a Rogue Echo bar and it's fine. At least as good or better than anything I have used in a commercial gym. I am however not a bar connoisseur and a total weakling compared to Mr Crouser.
This is great! Hardly anyone does training vlogs any more so this is really awesome to see.

Love how genuine it is man, keep it up! What what distance are you shooting for at USATF indoors?
Goal is US indoor champs record, but if I can get technique locked in I think I can go quite a bit further
@@RyanCrouser23 Congratulations on your new record) ..from Kenya
That was great training video! Keep up the good work! Love from Bulgaria.
Thank you!

It’s so inspiring to see you throw big weights. I love when athletes don’t neglect strength and conditioning
Love the barbell twists. Been trying to include more rotation and anti rotation in my program but struggling to connect to those movement patterns. Going to try that tomorrow with an empty bar to see if I can open up the trunk a bit.

Any relevance to the 23.77 chalked up on the board next to the rack at 20:35?
Good luck for the season indoors and outdoors.

Ryan, for those barbell twists, are you pivoting your feet or leaving them stationary? Really enjoyed the video. Thanks.
Sir please next vedio for bench press

I have noticed that shot putters don't do deadlifts. Does it mean there's no benefit from deadlifting?
23+ , in indoor?? 👏🏻
🤞
Is that Dad (Mitch) on the couch in the background?
Make a video at garage strength or with Joe Kovacs
One bite, everybody knows a staggered stance good morning is called a good afternoon.

What's ur practice throw best distance
Great job Ryan. Great video. Hook um
太棒了👏👏
Can you send me a pair of zoom rotational’s? I can’t find size 14’s anywhere. Also tell your guy at Nike to make more sizes.
Isn't that 150 on the bar for snatches?

Why does it say "GOOD" on the bar?
Tell the editor to turn that loud music up even more.
whats the date for world indoor?
Intro music???
Awsm
What would you say that your favorite drill would be to do in the circle?
I don’t have one in particular, I like pivots and static fulls.
Man you could prob hit 550+ on the front squat if you really wanted to. Props!!!
How down would you be to do a video on answering technical questions from viewers?
I’m planning on doing live Q&A once I get to the required 4K hours to be a UA-cam partner
Crouser how we can improve snatch power?
Whoa whoa whoa, is that a Jocko barbell?
Less goo
