This panel is so wholesome. No toxicity at all.
Exactly. These other mom’s need to look to these women on how to conduct themselves.
@@MsRose00 A little nice is okay but I live for the pettiness.
These moms aren't real jews then.. they don't complain enough.
That’s what’s most important indeed.
Makes a pleasant change from the usual videos in this series
I love these ladies. They're all so supportive of each other's cooking.
The Jewish diaspora is a very supportive group of people. It's inspiring.
@@KyleRBell-pe7yy łoo
So calm and chill. I imagine either one of them saying, "I'm not angry, I'm just very disappointed in you."
🤣🤣🤣
"I like a bigger one. Latke that is." Oh Beth you! 🤭😂
Congrats Stacey!
As a Muslim I’ve never had much exposure to Judaism. Thanks buzzfeed for creating this series. I love learning about Jewish culture. These women are elegant and very well mannered. The food looks good too. Shalom
These potato pancakes are general Central European culture. This is not Jewish food--this is ALSO Jewish food. Those of us not Jewish called them "potato pancakes"--they're the same as these "latkes".
The only experience I’ve had with Judaism is them kicking my grandpa outside of his home and land and forcing him and his family to walk 3 months into Lebanon where they stayed at a refugee camp until he passed away.
Buzzfeed unfortunately however seems to have this “thing” where all their Jews and Jewish stuff are ashkenazi (and broadly secular). Perhaps that’s because the Jewish population of the UK and the US are more like that. The Sephardic and Mizrahi Jews (those whose immediate family remained in the Middle East and North Africa since antiquity) can be culturally quite different. It would be nice is buzzfeed showed some culture and cuisine from that community.
Yeah same I don't really know anything about Jewish food. But I think most European jews eat about the same as other europeans.
@@BigmanDogs not exactly. Latkes are more similar to the European palate however matzo ball soup and challah (the previous videos) are distinct from other foods. There are also a ton of other Jewish foods that are very different from European foods.
jewish mums be like: "there is such good flavor in this! i can taste the sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, all of it! amazing!"
Milk! All the seasonings😂😂🤣🤣 not bland at all
The good ending
Was waiting for this comment
I mean they are cooking traditional dishes what do u want them to start adding to it? 😂 I’m sure that u could make it more interesting if u experimented with it though!
@@gabs8240 it’s a reference to “black grandmas try other black grandmas sweet potato pie ” video in which one of the testers was super critical in a totally obnoxious way and her saying something like “I can’t taste anything! where’s the sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg!” This became a inside joke in those buzzfeed videos, so by saying that the Jewish mums tasted everything, the commenter is saying that the mums in this video were very nice to each other while in many of those other buzzfeed videos other mums/grandmas/fathers were highly critical of each other, possibly in order to increase their own chances of winning.
Loved the fact they were all so respectful of each other's dish instead of immediately berating and coming in with criticisms.
I wish there was a channel like this with ONLY ppl this kind and polite and gracious. I need that in my life.
Jews support Jews
They had criticisms but it was constructive criticism nothing rude just expressing opinion. Best episode I seen yet
it's potato and onion thrown into oil, not much you can fuck up there
I’m quite happy for Stacey getting the win this time. All three mums are very likeable and fair in their scoring. But since Beth has won in the other two videos, it’s nice to see the other mums also getting the recognition they deserved.
SPOILER ALRRT
Why do you think it's ok to say who won in the comments. Asshole.
It just shows not everyone is perfect since Beth didn’t continue her streak 😋
@@beverleeo980 nigga just watch the videos then look at the comments
I love how they’re so polite about the whole thing and don’t at all try to drag the others down. Some episodes of this segment “people tasting other people’s food” can get quite brazenly critical and nasty but these 3 lovely ladies are just so pleasant to watch.
It's a uk thing
They are so unfailingly kind to one another. It's lovely to watch. If they ever wanted to share recipes I'd absolutely tune in.
All the mums were so nice about each other’s cooking
I really like how you were able to bring Phoebe Buffay for this video.
😆
💯💯😂😂😂
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻😂😂😂
Well, Lisa Kudrow who plays Phoebe Buffay is actually Jewish, so you're not too far off 😅
Stacey is totally right about latkes making the house smell. We have to turn on the fans and open all the windows to get the oniony, oily smoke smell out.
Nothing in the world smells so delicious to me!
Last Hanukkah I was at, the host fried them in gee, it was far less smoky to cook a large batch.
I love that latke smell. My house feels more like a home when it smells of freshly fried latkes.
We love a supportive panel!!!! Able to give constructive criticism and ratings but able to highlight the positives about the other mums dishes
Always respectful and nice
They're so polite. Also I love Melissa's logic of 'I wish it was a bit smaller so I could eat more of it' lmao
I prefer videos like these where they are respectful and honest and fair
I have loved every video that these ladies have been in. No snarky attacks, just gentle critique and genuine compliments. I also need to try making latkes now, I need Stacey's recipe!
So I just found out my super original recipe is Jewish traditional food and I was proudly sharing my potato fritters recipe with everyone 😂
God bless you
that's so cute haha
Those mums (I care -1000000 about if theyre jewish, muslims or they believe in a giant scallop) are just LOVELY. They are nothing like other ones giving 0 and spitting the other mums food.
Please more videos with them!!!!
They are all so sweet & mild mannered 🥺
I don't think the scores have ever been this close wow...
Because these women are being kind and fair towards one another. Notice you don’t have people making faces or spitting stuff out! Nice to see.
Probably cause they can all cook well lol
In the United States, my friend's grandmother fried her latkes in chicken fat and they were so delicious. I've never had a better latke than hers.
bro i'm not jewish but there is NOTHING like shmaltz (chicken fat). gguuuuuuhhhh shit is so good. best french fries i ever made were fried in homemade shmaltz. i saved the fat layers from making chicken stock in the fridge in a jar. give it a go. xoxo
I love these ladies. They have made the other mums try videos the best and by far the nicest to watch.I love how positive they are and how they appreciate other mums food and don't try to bring them down at all. They've really done Jewish mums justice by being so kind and fair.
I love the wholesome criticism of any. Love this ladies. ❤️
I love how supportive of each other they are, it's so nice
I love these moms!! They're so kind and encouraging, always.
It’s refreshing to see them all so supportive
I was a cook in a Jewish care home so i learnt to cook all the Jewish classics.... my favourite definitely the salt beef !!!
God bless you
Awe Beth is so sweet. And I love her sense of humor. She is very sweet and also silly. All 3 women are very kind and respectful which is warms my heart...
These lovely ladies make watching so fun and immersive, going in depth about the food, they embrace the differences in each of their versions and its just so sweet
These mums were super polite ❤️
Wow first panel that was so amazingly supportive of each others food .love this
they’re all so nice and sweet 🥺❤️
I really enjoy when they are nice to each other. Honest... and fair.... it's awesome!!!!
Totally agree that they’re not the most healthy food, but they are very tasty 😋
These women are really pleasant to watch. Honest and still polite.
This is the most mature wholesome panel I have ever seen.
There's so chill and very respectful
These ladies are calm, nice and positive, it made feel better! What a charming classy attitude!
Love that they all scored fairly, & weren’t rude or toxic for the cameras. I’ve always wanted to try Latkes 😋🤤.
Its refreshing to see taste videos like this with constructive criticism and no negative, toxic, or petty comments or going out of their way to put down the other's persons dishes. I like that
These mums are the kindest mums, so lovely! 😍
Love them!! Keep the videos coming please!!
Love these positive ladies.
These are the nicest most polite people 🥰
They're all so humble and nice :)
Oh my i want all these lovely women on all the next vedios. There all so respectful, nice and honest. Love women supporting other women instead of dragging them.❤
They're all so wonderfully delightful ❤
These ladies are so nice and polite. Food shouldn't be a hate contest. More please
That’s the Monday vibes I needed!
Love these mums! And I so want to try all of their food! 😍😍😍
Huge fan of your channel!
@@njss3442 awww thank you!
I'd love to try all these mum's cooking!
aweee they’re all rlly nice but it’s so cute how detailed stacy makes her reviews
ALL of the ladies are WINNERS! Good character and their scores are damn close. Well-done Jewish moms.....love you 💌
Close competition love how one mom has a strength while in another dish another mom is better lovely.
Can wait til my dad get into the holiday mood and make me some latkes 😍 happy Hanukkah and merry Christmas everyone!
4:38 killeddd me "please sir can I have some more" 💀
We have it in Latvia too, eat usually with sour cream or cranberry jam.
the jewish moms always seem like they can’t wait to hang out after and exchange recipes - i love it!!
Beth is a national treasure!
so sweeeet 💓 love the Mums 😊 Latkes look soooo delicious 🤤
These ladies are the best!
They are si wholesome and non toxic. :D
Who else is a Jewish mom and was sitting here the entire time thinking that none of these look like latkes 🤣
I’m confused about what batter one of them was talking about … do people use a batter? My mom definitely doesn’t 🤷🏼♀️
@@laurarose3041 right!
My parents lived in the UK, and my dad said he never heard of that ethier 😂
And these look like mashed potatoes to us!
The thumbnail is what a latke looks like to me lmao!
Is Judaism a religion. why ppl sayin Jewish like its a race
@@brenbeauty it’s not a race as jews can be black white or brown, but it’s a group of related ethnicities that all practice judaism.
love the personalities here
Can those 3 mums please meet up and cook together. I need them as a whole series.
That's all.
All the Latkes seemed really good. Three way tie!!!
I had a Jewish co-worker that introduced these to me. They were absolutely delicious.
I found a latke mix in the Jewish section of the grocery store. I add extra seasoning and garlic flakes. delicious.
More of these videos!
Blondie looks like Lisa Kudrow (Phoebe from FRIENDS). Pretty lady!
God Bless Jewish Mums.
I’d love to see polish mums trying other mums pierogi/gołobki!
Latkes look super similar to a meatless Persian “Kotlet” , beautiful video 💖
Kotlet in polish is a dish thats a slice of breaded meat 🤣
Cutlet or smth?
The best group of moms on this series.
I wish they would have served all the latkes with apple sauce and sour cream because that’s when it tastes best 😋
I could eat potato Latkes all day lol
I never knew what latkas were until my mom worked for a Jewish family. They would take us to church on Sundays and had us celebrate Hanukkah with them. I fell in love with latkas and matzo ball soup!! 😍 this episode made me hungry!
I remember being a kid and our teacher read us a book about Hanukkah. Afterward we had Latke with applesauce. I wanted more lol I need to make some Jewish friends. I’ll trade some tamales for some latke 🤤
I'll trade you Nova Scotian Donairs and Blueberry Grunt for your Tamales.
I’m bringing in soofganiyot to school in a few days for Chanukah :)
@@solo-mons haven't had soofganyit in forever...I'll trade you some lasagna and cannoli
I’ll happily share my recipe with you. I’m always open to teaching people the joys of latkes!
Im not sure that it would be a good idea to give tamales to Kosher-observant Jews since they are traditionally made with lard (which gives the masa great flavor and texture).
Everyone was so nice!
My mom's dad is Jewish and she made these a lot when I was growing up. They are so amazing, I wish she had made them more. I'm learning to make them now so my daughter can try them.
These are the BEST videos so far. The Jewish ladies are full of class, respect & politeness.
I like these moms, they’re like the Italian moms, wholesome and give positive feedbacks, they don’t spit other moms food out and say spiteful things just because they want better scores.
I’ve learned in 3 videos when Melissa says something is salty, Beth is going to think it’s perfect 😆. I’d trust Beth because I like my food well seasoned 😁
Ah I moved to the UK from Sydney and wish I was closer to a Jewish community like I grew up in near Bondi 😫 Miss the parties, festivities and the food!
Love these mum's I really want to try Jewish food, we need to know how they make them.
Great comfort food for sure love it.
Wait, what? 5:58 "I give this latke a 9/10 because it's full of flavor. I'd give it a 10/10 if it was a bit smaller because then I could just eat more of it." 😅
Glad to have discovered another panel that I can count on to be enjoyable!
I grew up with these as Christmas food, certainly December food. I'm not Jewish at all, and I call them potato pancakes, but they're made exactly the same way with grated onion and can be accompanied with apple sauce, jam or sour cream or sugar.
It’s That Season!!!!
A small tip: Add some grated zucchini into the batter to make them fluffier.👌🏼
I love these 3 ladies they are awesome! 😍😅
So far these ladies have been the nicest and fairest
So sweet too
Shalom last day of the feast /Passover I think I want to try these ❤
Lol Beth is such a sweetheart
these people are so much more chill and pleasant, most of these videos have 3 people who cant cook but feel as if they can judge like gordon ramsay
I found out about latkes late in life. They're so delicious 😋
It is crazy how similar polish cuisine is to the Jewish one. We also have chalkas and Latkes! It is probably due to quite big society of Jewish people in Poland before 2nd ww
Yep thats exactly why.
Poland had a huge amount of Jews living in Eastern Europe until Hitler came along.
@@allyoopdan991 lol kinda her point sir.
@@shawnm7246 but not everyone is aware of history.
Potato pancakes are eaten throughout Central Europe--it's a regional thing. Having a German mom, this was Christmas food.
This was the most integral cast yet 😂
