My girl Celine was just there to eat, and I respect it!🤣🤣
I don't blame her though.🤣
I loved her sheer joy. This was a fun one.
I love her energy she's so cute and she is definitely a "foodie" 😂😂
I had to go straight to the comments 😂
LNFAOWOWHWKWPWO AHHH YOURE SO RIGHT!! 🤣🤣💗💕💓 I had the best time ever!!!
I like that they were fair judges and not catty with each other. Sometimes these videos can be brutal on each other.
I was feeling the exact same! These ladies were really fair and classy, and they clearly had appreciation for food, as well as this particular dish. I appreciate them so much!
I agree! They weren’t just trying to win. They were fair. Even if it wasn’t their style. The ratings were much higher this video than most others.
One thing about Haitians we don’t like to be to critical against each other , unless it’s in private between us.. . 😂
@@LeeapC this definitely a lie 😂coming from a fellow Haitian
@@LeeapC liar
AHHH HI IM CELINE!!! Thank you so much for having me Buzzfeed, 😛 This was the coolest thing ever & rewatching this video now I’m hungry again 😂💓💕⭐️🇭🇹
You made this whole video! Beautiful inside and out fr
@@yaggin thank you so much omg 😭😭😭😭💗💕💕❤️💕
Youre a vibe. They should defo bring you back
@@celinemilieni love your energy. If you're ever in the NYC area it would be my pleasure to feed you.
Love your attitude!
Haitians seem like such nice people, I love that they’re not eating each other up 😂
Haitians usually are polite
@@J.E20 what are your peoples in the news for today?
I am Haitian and I disagree, we can be terrible to one another, but at the same time we ride for eachother.
@@NiaLouis I feel like that’s common when it comes to most countries/nationalities though, seems normal.
@@Aquarian231990 hell no, haitians are very rude and disrespectful
WE ATEEEEEEE ( literally) 😭🇭🇹
Now I’m about to show this to my grandma🫡
and you were just so cool and so chill! enjoyed the video
@@rahshida thank you so so much 😋
@@celinemilien i literally LOVED watching you, best episode I've watched. If you don't get asked back I'm unsubscribing!! Such a vibe fr!!!❤❤😂
You have the most amazing energy @celine mili
I’ve been waiting for more Haitian food, we need the older Haitian moms next to do a video for the best rice 😅
YESS.
OH LAWD YES....THAT WOULD BE GOOD 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I should enter my mom in one of these competitions!! She cooks the best HAITIAN FOOD
Oh yesssss
That part
I absolutely loved how Samantha explained everything, for those of us not as familiar with Haitian food. It's always great when the people keep things respectful, so I really enjoyed these 3. Definitely bring them back!
Samantina, not Samantha. But I agree with the rest of what you said.
I loved how respectful they all were to each other ranking the patties. Lovely ladies and cute how they're all wearing matching colors!
First of all pate kode is the regular HAITIAN PATTY
@@itslinaelinae7922 Nope. The classic haitian patty is the baked one, with the flaky crust. Not the fried pate kode
@AVOCADO ANDTOAST but the oven is more evolved so I feel like it was the pate kode and that's the pate you get from the street vendors
@@ErickaJ954 Old ovens have always existed. The flaky crust is a colonial transmission passed on from the French.
I don't know where and when paté kode emerged but the concept is sort of similar to empanadas, so I suspect it might be a more recent invention derived from hispanic influence. Especially since hot dogs are not a traditional Haitian ingredient and wasn't a thing that older people cooked with. Don't hold me on that though. It's just a theory and I could be very wrong. lol
Haitians LOVE the color red. It's basically our unofficial national color. Our flag is half red & half blue but you'd think it was all red by how much red we wear.
FINALLY ✨This is how it should be ✨ they weren’t trying to insult to justify giving low scores to win… this was very enjoyable ✨✨✨Thank you
Yes that's how we are ❤
Yea it’s nice but ngl I kinda miss the toxicity it’s entertaining
Celine is just like me, we love to eat! LMAO! She was very entertaining. 😭😂😅🤣
Let me tell you something, LOVING their natural hair. So beautiful all of them :)
Celine is so freaking funny & such a good sport, I love her personality 🥰
Celine won our hearts. smashed the vibe check GURRRRRLLL....!
This is the first set of cooks that I feel were fair in their ratings. Fair and respectful. Love Celine’s personality:)
Haitian women are so, sweet and uplifting. They only had good things to say. I work in a hospital in NYC. So, you know I am surrounded by Haitians. They are just the sweetest group of women to me. ❤😇
Can y'all please judge each other's Haitian SPAGHETTI 💗💗
YESSSSS
This the one
With the recipes to go with it lol
Bruuuuhhh
Yes this for sure
where my haitian babes at ?? 🇭🇹🇭🇹🥰🥰 plz do more haitian videeoosssss
Right cause we have some amazing dishes
@@TooHotToSip oh fs we do
🙋🏿♀️🙋🏿♀️🙋🏿♀️🇭🇹🇭🇹
@@dejanicole111 🥰🥰🇭🇹
Yes I hope they do more, loved this video!
Celine went through all type of emotions when she first bit on that second patty 😂😂
Celine really skipped dinner after this. Loved the positivity as well.
Celine seems hella cool lol. I loved when she said "yall got some more?" that was real.
Blessings to all my Haitians ❤💙🤍 🇭🇹
Shout out to these queens who critiqued with kindness and graded fairly❤ loved this video 👏🏾
With so much class too
Please bring them back for more videos. They were positive and entertaining. Everybody brought something a little different and they were still giving great scores. ❤
This how you judge!! They did it fairly and with appreciation to each other. The excitement on their faces at trying one of their favorite dishes was amazing.
I feel like this needs a do over because to me baked and deep fried patties are different.
Exactly. That’s the same thing I’m saying… they are two separate things, in my opinion, one is a more flaky texture and the other one is more doughy
I agree. Growing up in Haiti, I can’t count on one hand the amount of times I’ve had patte boulange. Pate Kode on the other hand…i had it almost everyday.
Anyone agreeing to be on this show should actually *like* the type of the food they're judging, right?
I love Celine’s spirit lol 😂she’s funny and happy. Someone you’d love to be around. Her positivity. I love it! Beautiful ladies.
These ladies are so polite and kind😊
Celine is my mood all day 😂😂 I love her!!! She just came for the food as would I. I don’t even care it’s a competition
Celine just came to have some fun. Great energy
I definitely appreciate that more Haitian cuisine is being included in the series. I just wish, for the love of God, that there was a separation of the two types of patties here. One of these patties is the flaky baked kind and the other two are ‘Pate Kode’ or the fried kind. I love the flaky baked ones - those really are the star and make our patties unique in comparison to the rest of the Caribbean. 🇭🇹
Im Jamaican and love y’all patties. Adopt me please 🥹🥹😂😂
I'm Puerto Rican and my life changed when I had y'alls flaky pastry patty. A professor of mine who was Dominican and Haitian brought them in during a class party. Omg🥰🥰🥰🥰😭😭😭❤️❤️❤️
the flaky ones that feel like puff pastry are the goat!
I love the fish ones with the flaky crust. In Miami, used to buy six of them before class. That crust is addictive, messy but I prefer it over the Jamaican patties.
Everybody's hair is Giving!! 😍
Yesss more Haitians try please!
Great representation, they're beautiful, fair in judgement and their personalities are lovely
I wish there was more Haitian restaurants where I live smh. I went to a Haitian Church with my friend…and also a family party with her. The food was so damn good omg 😩 I bet all of those Pattie’s tasted good 😋
What State are you in? In NY there's a good amount
@@Aquarian231990 I’m from Maryland (Not Baltimore). We have a lot of African/Caribbean restaurants, but I have yet to find a Haitian restaurant.
@@MiyahM301 I just googled there's 2 in silver spring one called Gisele Creole Cuisine, Port au Prince Haitian Cuisine, and Sobeachy Haitian Cuisine Restaurant in Baltimore... I pray you enjoy cause Haitian food is so good
@@Aquarian231990loved that you googled it for her so she can have the option to try some
@@vegannn7178 🤗 just want her to taste some really good food
The hair 😍
I love how they don’t bring each other down and they all had something positive to say
Love seeing my people in such a positive and healthy light 🇭🇹🇭🇹🙏🏽
Samantina is a very tough food critic 😆.. Celine is so sweet with her criticism.
I just love how these Haitian women were mostly positive to each other. This was refreshing. I need more of this. The cattiness becomes way too much over food.
This is my favorite episode so far ! I really like Celine’s energy. I love that the winner learned from her dad. ❤
They were literally some of the nicest people they’ve had on here and i love the vibes
I love Celine!!! She was so lighthearted, fun, & enjoyable to watch! Bring her back!
Okay, now I LOVE ALL of these ladies!!!! Each was fair, honest, had personality, didn't shy away from constructive critique, but also gave praise where it was due. I love it!!!!
Wow. Haitian women are stunning. 😊
Holy crap! The winner is my cousin. You go Kathleen! Hope she comes back for another dub.
She’s sooo fly, I wanna follow her on Instagram! What’s her @?!
Anglade? Any relation with Dominique Anglade?
I loved Celine's vibe so much lol. She is the type of friend i'd love to have around with her positive and bubbly attitude .
Love how they were all chill and were not hating on each other’s food.
Nobody asked about your mood Kat just rate the Pattie’s😒 Celine’s energy is a whole vibe And Samantina is so laid back I enjoyed watching them❤
Damn Kat didn't even say anything rude, they were all super respectful. Be kinder
You need to be kind
The energy in this video❤ Also, Celine is such a vibe😂 Girl came to have a good time
I’m Jamaican and had a Haitian patty that almost made me prefer it over Jamaican Patties! 😂😂😂😂. But me cyaaa do mi ppl dem suh!! But Kats pattie look the best and is in line with Haitian Patties I have tried. Good job to all ladies! 👏🏾
I have yet to find a Jamaican pattie that is made by Jamaicans! Everybody makes them here in Quebec (Canada), but they don't feel authentic.
Kindly bring Celine back🥰
The girl in the Afro is all kind of beautiful… the laugh, the physical and inner beauty, she is just genuinely good /kind natured hunny 😊
I want to try all of their Patties! Never heard of Haitian Pattie’s until this video., they looked so good! I’m on google now trying to search for Haitian Pattie’s near me lol
Lol me too, I'm going to youtube some Haitian patties recipes
Thank you wanting to our food trust me you'll enjoy it
Just remember there's two kinds. The flaky kind is completely different from the fried kind.
@@BlackMoonstone531 Yep, the flaky kind is the best but harder to find near me :(
Just remember, not all Haitians Mahe patties the same way. Some of these restaurant patties are nasty.
So happy my Haitian people showed how constructive and objective we can be.👏
Bring CELINE back for all the challenges 😂😂
I bake patties and other things and could tell from looking how they tasted. Congrats Celine, who I picked. And to all the ladies, class acts all three! So gracious to each, not always the case with these Buzzfeed food contests.
You really think Celine made her own home made puff pastry for her patties? Idk, that mess like 6-7 hours of time to make just the dough, not to mention the time to make the filling and to bake the patties. We talking like 8 hours of time minimum.
Haitian Patties are my favorite. I grew up eating the ones like Kat made from a Haitian bakery in Jamaica Queens. That flakey crust is unmatched.
Great job representing for Haiti 🇭🇹, ladies!!!! Congrats to my boo, Kat on winning!!!!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Ohhh these women came and showed out. They are gorgeous!!!! Beautiful representation.
Celine is so beautiful and humble ❤
Thank you for having a Haitian edition we Haitians appreciate it! 🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹! We appreciate you!
Yass to the showing of Haitian food … the girls did a good job and gave fair critiques 👏🏾👏🏾
All three of them are a whole vibe. Loooove their personalities and how they weren't catty and doing the most to talk down to each other's food. Haitian food looks so gooooood I gotta find me some
Haitian people always coming w the sweet vibes and good food. Loved all the ladies but Celine had my ❤️
Lmaooooo when she knocked on the pattie💀
I appreciate how each of them showed lots of love but kept it real. THIS is now one of my favs!! Y’all please don’t stop doing this segment ❤
I love everything about Celine 😂
Wow first tune seeing Haitian patties. I've never seen them sold anywhere in the UK. The frying part is a bit of a shock to me being Jamaican but I would try both types.
There’s two Haitian restaurants in the uk I go there once a week, they’re delicious 🤤 😂😍
We’re not in the UK like that but I hear there’s a small growing population there somewhere.
They are two different type of patties and both are great. But personally I prefer the deep fried one followed by a Kola Couronne after
Mane I love Celine character. She's so happy to be there ❤
I love how everyone showed up in their colors. The red suited everyone and each lady was so beautiful and nice. I never tried an Haitian patty, only had my own Jamaican ones. I would love to try even the salmon. I need to also try this epis i keep hearing about 😂.
@annmariebusu9924 epis is really similar to your green seasoning that they sell at Carribean markets…
I absolutely loved all the ladies on there, so nice and polite with each Dish ❤
These ladies are so glamorous! Oh my god! ❤
My people!! Love seeing my fellow Haitians on here. Also, sn all these women are gorgeous
Celine have no shame😂😂😂😂 iktr “y’all got some more”
Awwww I love them. They are so respectful to each other.❤❤❤❤❤
Such beautiful woman. Red looks gorgeous on their skin!
Nah celine was funny af. We need her to come back and rate dishes for another competition
These sisters are gorgeous 🫶🏽😍 that is all 😊
I love how kind they are to each other
I love how you can tell all 3 were good in their own way. And they were so fair with the rstongs
These ladies weren’t messy at all, like they usually be on the other challenges. Kudos ladies.❤❤❤
Love this video. 🇭🇹 stand up!! Live for Celine and her great energy
Celine is the sweetest girl ever!
They were all so cool, I enjoyed all of their vibes. Love Kats style. Rock on beautiful queens
They were all really sweet and genuine, really nice to see
I love them so much lol like they were so chill
Loved all these ladies energies ❤
Refreshing to see their take. More importantly love to see them showing love to eachother another bashing. Need more of that!
I like when the one who is sort of critical ends up being a great cook. I also wanted to try all of them, they looked delicious.
I love that food actually look like haitian food unlike that soup joumou video 😭 I'm sorry but I don't know what I was looking at but anyway good job Kat, make your papi proud!
The soup joumou was a TRAGEDY! The fact that it's our freedom soup and it's so sacred to us made it so disappointing. smdh. Homeboy put parmesan cheese!!! UGH...
@Juju Nunya lol not parmesan cheese! I couldn't even watch the whole thing. It looked too nasty, they should've got actual Haitians that know how to cook it but 🤷🏾♀️
Thank you for all this Haitian content ☺️☺️☺️ 🇭🇹
This was fun to watch. These Haitian beauties were classy and kind. I would have loved to try all 3 patties. I have only eaten Jamaican patties. In fact I had 1 for lunch today.
Aside from the food looking good, Kat is absolutely stunning
Everyone was so positive here I loved this episode
All very beautiful ladies, beautiful personalities and all dishes rocked. Great job!
Love these ladies!! So beautiful!!! Bring them back please!!!
This was fun to watch!! 💚💚💚. I need to visit Haiti 🇭🇹!!!
I went to Haiti and tried it for the first time. It was sooooo goooood. Came back to Chicago and have been looking for a place that makes it just like the one that I tried in Haiti. They have been delicious but the ones in Haiti were exceptional.
Chicago weirdly doesn't have a Haitian community, I remember finding a spot in Evanston ages (almost 10years) ago. I lived there for undergrad and rarely met other Haitians.
I would LOVE to see them all talk to each other after the results! Just to see them bond over the common ground of the patty would be cool.
Love their vibes
THANK YOU FOR SHOWING OUR CULTURE😢😢😢😢❤❤❤ AND LISTENING TO US! Yes yes yes!
