Well if we want to be able in the future to cure any disease and remove any genetic flaw, then doing it to plants and animals is kinda necessary, this technology has the ability to save millions of lives and maybe even make us superhumans, benefits outweigh the costs by a ton

@Luna If we acquire that kind of technology, then overpopulation would surely be solved also, mind you this is a quite distant future, overpopulation is gonna happen anyways

This is a very controversial topic, however I don't think "super humans"
Would be the best idea, perhaps it would be good for medical purposes, for example I've seen many documentaries about illnesses being cured through genetic engineering but in my opinion, doing too much to humans could be disastrous.
