    Although coconut milk has always been my favorite, Brazil nut milk has tied it for the top, and then cashew after that, and coming in at number for is the always satisfying almond milk!

    Hi Julia, amazing video! 👏 And your bright energy so contagious! 😍 Thank you for this recipes. I didn't done all of yours yet so gonna try. Especially the brasil and cashew nuts one look amazing. I wonder though if you tried this as well with seeds or grains and what do think about those? Atm I am on a renewed research in ayurveda so not sure yet if grains and seeds are considered good in pranic and yogic diet? I mean seeds like sesame, sunflower seeds and grains like outs and rice, I used to do milk out of those too. Thank you one more time! Sending you love! 💜 Lenka.x

      🤣🤣🤣🙏🙏🙏😙😙 thank you, dear Lenka. This is my first video EVER 🤪 I'm so happy you love it. I’m learning all this video-making business. Having fun on the way. And yes, absolutely, you can make milk using this method from any of your favorite nuts, seeds, and grains like steel-cut oats. Here is an article I wrote on this subject 📝 it might be helpful 👉 positivepranic.com/sattvic-nut-milk-plant-based-milk/. That is great! I’m so happy you love it. I have cashew milk in my fridge at all times. I use it as a creamer, for smoothies (of course), and I adding it to a lot of dishes on the end of the cooking process if I want to make them creamy (lentils, rice, stewed... you name it).

    Thanks for this info. I am definitely inspired to try the recipes. Which is YOUR favorite? And how much plant-based milk should one consume per day?

    • @positivepranic
      @positivepranic  4 роки тому

      I like all of them. But more often, I make cashew milk or hazelnut milk because it is the quickest one - no straining needed. But I make almond milk and Brazil nut milk regularly. I wouldn't worry much on overdoing with the milk, other than milk from Brazil nuts. Because of the high concentration of selenium, I wouldn't have more than a cup a day.

    How long do you blanch them? I will try the recipe with almonds and oats. I hope it works.

    • @positivepranic
      @positivepranic  4 роки тому +1

      Almonds should be soaked overnight (and then blanched). If you plan on making oat milk, don't soak your oats and use 1/2 cups of old-fashioned rolled oats to about 4 -5 cups of water, no straining needed.

    I made too much! Can I freeze the almond milk?

    • @positivepranic
      @positivepranic  3 роки тому +1

      In theory, yes, you can; but consider using it for cooking. You can add it to your soups, curries, stews, or other dishes instead of water (just be sure to not add it into anything that is too acidic) Another thing you can do is bring it to a quick boil, then you can store it in the fridge longer.

    Although I like your nuts video, you need to fix your SOUND !! The whole video is a freakin whisper !! I can't hear the ingredients?!?!
    By the way, do you soak your cashews overnight to make them nice and soft I heard that is recommended or is that not necessary?

    • @positivepranic
      @positivepranic  3 роки тому +1

      🤣🤣🤣 Thank you for watching. This video is the first video I ever made, so it lacks in some things. I never used a microphone before or recorded and edited a video prior to this one. I'm sorry you don't like my voice (but there are subtitles available); the ingredient list for each milk appears at the beginning of the recipe in the video. You can find it on the PositivePranic.com website as well. (links to each recipe are in the description of this video) on the website, you can find not only detailed instructions but a full article on benefits, nutritional value, and helpful tips. Or you can check out this one 👉 positivepranic.com/sattvic-nut-milk-plant-based-milk/
      I'm glad you heard about soaking nuts. It is not just recommended, but absolutely necessary. That is why I'm starting this video with soaking nuts.
      For more information on WHY and HOW to SOAK beans, nuts, seeds, legumes, and grains you can watch this video 👉 ua-cam.com/video/81gbhr2H_gI/v-deo.html

    "Decadent and delicious" sounds like my kind of nut milk! I knew about soaking almonds, but not about cashews - and that's my go-to. No wonder the one from the store tastes different... 🙈

      🤣 I wanted to be sure it is visible on the video cover 🤣A glass of nut milk would be a proper serving. I use my plant-based milks daily for cooking and as a creamer for my drinks. Especially cashew milk. 😋 It is so creamy! I love adding it on the end of cooking process to my stews, soups, lentils and curry dishes.

    Very nice recipes! 👌🏼
    -Should we use coconut water, instead of plain water in all of these? What difference would it make?
    -can we add normal dates instead of medjool? And why to add dates (or medjool dates) at all?
    -likewise can the milk be made from pistachios and walnuts as well?
    -can these milks be boiled with ginger and/ or turmeric to make tea and consume hot?
    -also we make an Indian milk tea from these?
    -when to consume, like on an empty stomach, after a meal or before?
    (From India).
