I started taping the bottom lashes first and then applying the eye pad and its sooooo much easier! Less lashes are getting stuck and they're easier to remove if they do.

I know right ,and sometimes it pulls out their bottom lash as well while unstucking it
This is totally me :( I have always had problems with sticked eyelashes I hope with practicing I can get better. Here for the nano mister!
So far I had two practice clients thankfully they were both super nice and calm about it because I was freaking out inside 🤣 Thank you Liv Bay I actually wanted to give up yesterday on lashing but I'm keep practicing. 💜🙏🏽

I’m a very, very new lash artist and lashed my 5th practice person and I had bottom lashes stuck on one eye and internally panicked when she couldn’t open her eye! Lucky she was my sister and she also kept her cool but just the thought of glueing someone’s eyes shut it scary. Thank you for the informative and reassuring video 🥰

I'm still practicing and the first client I ever had I glued almost all of her lashes to the bottom lashes. I learned a very important lesson about tape and pads that day and it has never happened again.

do you cure the lashes before pulling eye back? Like do you fan/mist eye first and then test it?
Its my first client today n I have some lashes tht stucked on eyepad, but managed to get it off frm it , guess I should use taping tricks to make natural eyelash away frm the bottom
Yes! My first client I taped up a layer of her lashes and when I was ready to take them off they were all stuck to the tape!! It was terrifying.... so I gently had to peel the extensions off the tape 😭
precious castro yes me too that’s why I’m so hesitant on doing the taping method but I like how the lashes turn out . What I do is get the piece of tape and stick it on the back of my hand a few times to take some of the stickiness from the tape and then take back . It has helped a lot

I’ve just started and still doing for free. Taping, glued lashes and keeping lashes on seems to be an issue. Every time I brush 5 lashes come off. Add new and use more then lashes start gluing together
I mean, is there a way to detach the lashes without pulling out her natural lashes? Perhaps the same method but less force?? ...Or is pulling out some NLs inevitable?

I feel like I almost always get a bottom lash stuck. At the studio I work at, we only use foam tape. I guess I can’t find the sweet spot. If I place the tape high enough to cover all the lower lashes, it pushes up too much against the upper lashes or the client will say they can feel the tape on their eye. But if I move it a little lower, seems like a couple lashes will escape and end up either lashed or stuck. It’s so frustrating.
Melissa Moore that’s totally normal. Our male lash artist Red has been lashing 14 years and still gets clients stuck from time to time. It’s part of the game. 💕
Eeek. Two lashes were pulled out there. You can clearly see the roots. Severely damaged lashes there too, and you can see it's from the application. I'm not sure if she went somewhere else previous but if that keeps going she's going to lose more lashes. It's hard to keep up with all staff if you're building an empire, but correct, safe application is imperative. Please take this as constructive.
Bobbi Bartlett they look fine. Not severely damaged at all. Also if this was recent it’s spring and she could easily be shedding. Let’s see your work
I believe that is something that is completely normal and impossible to prevent in your career at anytime for any artist. But, as long as her sets and natural lashes continue to flourish as a whole
It was terrifying.... how do you help a client relax so they stop tightening their eyes on you while lashing?.... ran into that problem today with a client... had to retake and put new gel pads on three times during her appointment. 😩

I found this video helpful but then when she opened her eye... you can see 2 lash roots that were pulled out😭😭 helpful method.. but not a good example when you can see the lash roots😣
I literally stuck the entire lash line together today and couldn’t separate it and couldn’t use remover she started yelling how much the remover hurts her eyes!!!!!! I had to cut the bottom lash line off

This happened to me today :( I managed to use the remover to separate them all but she was so uncomfortable I feel awful. Had to send her away with no lashes and offered to redo them once her eyes had settled. A big learning curve to make sure I check as I go that none have popped out :/
