    I do lash bathes before every service as I feel it's my job to start a service with a clean slate! They are already paying for it by paying for a service I feel! Its my job to get them the best retention from the start! Now if they come in with excessive makeup knowing they were coming to a lash appointment. That's a different story!! Trust, with all the lash gals out in this industry clients notice the extra steps in sanitation and they stay, noticing the small stuff others dont do automatically!!!

      Agreed. However we do have all our clients come in with clean lashes and we do prime for every client. If they come in with dirty lashes we always have them do a lash bath ♥

      @@LivBayLash the problem I have is people say they cleaned them but you still see debris and need to still do a cleanse, is it too much to prime also after let's say 2 lash baths because the primers dehydrate the NL and then my extensions are popping off my client? What then? Thank you

      @@Alexandra-mj9ch I would only prime after a lash bath if the client has oily lashes or just prime with saline solution. ♥

    I think it depends on each client if you should prime after every lash bath, and it also depends what state you live in, some lash pros will say that they never prime only a lash bath, this is where the advice get's tricky. Do you do both because LivBay Lash products require it? Or is it a personal choice? Also what's the curl and mapping on this girl? Love it! Thank you!

    • @LivBayLash
      @LivBayLash  4 роки тому +2

      At our salons we do not give every client a lash bath we usually only prime. If the client does come in with extremely dirty lashes we will then upcharge and give them a lash bath. Depending if their natural lashes are more oily we will decide if they also need primer or not. Everyone does thing differently and I think its important to take in what each clients needs are ♥

    How do you go about up charging? I do a lash bath as part of my prep but haven’t really been charging for it. I feel like if I try to up charge they won’t want to do it but I know how crucial it is to have a clean canvas. My Classic full sets are $130 hybrid $140 and volume $150 I live in a small rural community in Colorado.

    • @LivBayLash
      @LivBayLash  4 роки тому +1

      Kelly Beth Mcgrath We usually just let them know it’ll help with their retention, having a clean base to start with will prolong their sets and if they come in with dirty lashes and they turn down a lash bath we usually let them know it could possibly affect their retention and they can have premature fall out. Just be super honest and go over all the benefits. Let them
      Know if they come in with clean lashes they won’t have to do a lash bath. We don’t do them before every fill just depending on what they come in with or if they schedule ❤️

    So, question… I do a lash bath at the beginning of every service right now and I do not up charge for it. I have thought about charging for it but I am worried some clients might opt out of doing it and not cleanse their lashes right before their appointment either. Wouldn’t this affect their retention? Isn’t it necessary to do a lash bath at the beginning of a fill no matter what?

    • @ceelash6768
      @ceelash6768 4 роки тому +2

      Sarah Maki right now I wash all clients lashes just to be clean and sanitary. If they continue to come in with heavy makeup then start charging. It is more time consuming and like they saying goes.... do you go to the dentist without brushing your teeth?

    • @beautybabe7x
      @beautybabe7x 4 роки тому +4

      hi! i do free lash baths for my clients. I am afraid too that if i start charging, some clients would opt out of the bath. I personally just do it for free because it really doesn't cost much to do it & then at least you can back yourself up if the client had any issues, you know that you cleaned them before. Another option is that you could raise your fill prices $5 to cover for the lash bath before every fill

    I personally have my clients shower or wash their lashes before their appointment.
    I recommend the micellar water or suggest they purchase lash shampoo for after care.
    However Always use primer when before i lash my clients. they enjoy the scent and appreciate the tlc i give them to ensure good lash retention.
