I built a silent stage rig last week. I used a Joy American Sound, Boss 63 Fender reverb, Boss tremolo and a Boss Blues Driver. No one noticed I didn't have an amp and some told me I sounded "great." I may add a wah next time though.
Nice board! Because of you I bought a IR-200 and I made a very simple but incredible sounding board for home. Guitar -> Boss GE-7 -> Wah/Volume -> IR-200 with Eventide H9 in Send/Return. I plug my phone in the Aux and listen with headphones. I switch presets with my old Rocktron MIDI Mate and with the pitch shift of the H9 and a nice Bass can IR I get a passable bass sound with one switch on the board. I never had something more flexible with such a tiny footprint.
Hey did you run any of the effects through the effect loop on the IR 200? I'm building a silent stage with an IR 200. I'm wondering if I need to run any of my effects through the effect loop.
Hi From Orlando Florida. So how do you conect the IR200 and DD 200 in Stereo no amp i`ll go straigh to thr DI at church im using inears please let me know. Great video Thnx
Paul, what if my Amp/Cab is a pedal without Send/Return, where would you put reverb/delay and modulations (like chorus and tremolo)? I'm actually using a Zoom G1 Four for Amp/Cab simulation on my pedalboard, but I'm not really sure where to add my modulations and ambiencies.
That is an amazing setup, I am thinking about creating a similar setup. My only wish is that you could run two amps at the same time in stereo. I have grown accustomed to doing that in the real world, and it can add a lot of depth to the tone. But I suppose using two IR:s in stereo could yield a similar result?
Hi Paul I have the boss BCB 90x with the boss ms-3 . I wonna use the boss ir 200 with the ms-3 so i can straight in the pa .Very simple but for me enough.I works with the Boss wl 50 wireless and Boss fv 30H foot volume pedal and boss FS-7 What is the best way to connect this al togetter en finaly to the PA? By the way i very nice board
Very cool. I know this is an older video, it did you go direct to PA with the IR 200 and a DI box or just using the IR200 may I ask? I don't know if the IR200 has an XLR out? I need to build one of these because the small clubs I will be playing at almost always require a totally silent stage or very low volume and a mic'd amp. Most refer directly via the PA though. Thanks sir. Great videos. Outstanding. Regards from South Central Indiana. USA. Tim.
Thanks, Paul, very useful. Do you have any tips for getting a good sound through in-ears? I’ve played a few gigs this way but the guitars always seem to sound a bit thin an uninspiring - how do you get a good sound/mix in your in-ears? Thanks.
Nice board dude! Works pretty well for a board with no midi (aside from the presets in the Boss pedals). On that note midiless boards are something of a rarity nowadays, it’s becoming the lost art of stomping
great solution. How do you monitor it on stage ? In ear or wedge ? I asume there is a drummer ? Is he also going direct ( drum patches or v drum ? ) Because , my problem in this setups is that when there is a drummer a direct guitar signal ( with in ears or a bad wedge / monitor on stage ) doesn't give you that oempff to connect with the drummer and bass player . Maby a lttle video from the gig ? Would be nice to hear it. Great video again Paul. Thanks. Love all the things you share .
Will you be doing a review of the new TWO NOTES REVOLT GUITAR tube driven 3-channel direct/IR solution? I hope so. Love your BOSS IR 200 videos. I've got one on the way based on your fabulous detailing. I do mainly churches & studio work so asap/As Silent As Possible is critical. Thanks so much for your helpful insight.
Was that a bit of sweet disposition on the dotted 8th? Also epic sounds, I really need to spend more time with the IR-200. I also need to get it sent for a repair as I closed my pedalboard case with the headphones plugged in and now they don’t work :(
Hi Paul. How are you getting volume boosts for solos if the Angry Driver is going into the front of the IR-200. That arrangement would generally only add distortion rather than volume if the amp is already crunchy and lacking headroom. Thank you!!
yeah, i have an IR200 and a bluguitar amp 1 on my board. i can use either as my main sound. one of the IR200 outputs, with cab emulation, goes to the desk and the other goes to the return of the amp1, so that i can have cab on stage if needed. recording out of the amp 1 can go through the IR200 cab emulation too. the whole rig is switched with a boss m3 which also does the effects. i have a blues driver and a wampler tummnus on the board as well. it is an extremely versatile rig.
to be honest this is a question that got me thinking: if the Bluguitar is just as great on a silent stage producing similar quality sounds it would be THE go to pedal/amp since it is also a 100W amp. I am on the break of deciding to get 1 of the 2 so any comments / thoughts on this would be great
@@brammanck They're both great options but the only one with a (nano)tube is the Blug. And with the side controls your clean amp can have several voices as can all 3 of the different distortion channels - it's such a versatile amp. You can even use a speaker out instead of the record out into a cab sim like a cabzeus or two notes or their own blubox and run silent that way - or both rec out and speaker out and simulate stereo... the amp needs no load so no concern in that area no load box needed
Great pedalboard, I use Blug Amp1 plus line 6 HX effects, and using the Blubox or IRs loaded into the HX is a complete powerful package to usewith a cab, or without.
I'm old school... I use the good old built like a tank trusty Digitech RP500 with a wah, comp and OD in front to push a bit. Damn old thing sounds great in stereo once you figure out how to eq it and never ever push in that output mixer/amp button.. sucks the damn life out of it. Party on Garth....
Paul, have you ever used the Boss GT-1000 for a live rig? Would you recommend the ir200 above the GT-1000 for live? I have many pedals as well as the GT-1000
Paul, great as usual! But I keep wondering, watching your videos - Gt-1000 Core or IR-200? Judging by the look - IR, cause I cannot spot GT-1000 Core anywhere in the last years videos, is it? :)

Great sound Paul. And no amp to carry on.... huge sounds there. good job
Nice sound thank you for that.🙏. that “angry Driver”. I never heard that before. Sounds so good wow.
Thanks for listening

Thanks for doing this video and maybe I a missing but what we are hearing is coming from what source?

The IR200 has a boost switch function built in that you can use a footswitch to control.
how you conect dd-200 with ir-200? for stereo sound?
Did you consider using one of the BluGuitar Amps you have? they also have a line out that could work on a silent stage....
That’s a cracking idea. I’ll try that as the front end to the ir200
@@TheStudioRats well alright :)

Hello, i just wanted to ask if the Boss IR-200 takes 9-12v dc from a power supply?
It's 9v negative center. The same Boss standard.

Do you put angry driver before the IR 200 and modulation and delay after the IR 200?
What are you running everything into for the video?

Maybe I’m daft, but are you using RCA plugs on your power supply?
Boss approved
You know you´re a true Boss fan, when you are using a BCB-60... Best Pedal board ever IMO 😊
Boss BCB-90, it is! ;-)
Drums are the worst for loud ear splitting damage! NOt guitarist LOL
Silent stages are ridiculous...do they have silent drums and silent singing too...lol
Take the video down, NOW, Its far from silent, YT wont tolerate this level of trolling
