I've seen the drill before but you explained it so well. Ties in so well with your throwing release video. Mike M. has a great site but sometimes it helps to hear another person's explanation of the concept.
That’s a great question, I’ve never been asked that before. For me it really depends on the situation. If I’m practicing I will focus on the task I’m setting myself or have been set by Mike Malaska eg throw release, left hip pushing away from the ball etc…. I will as a max have two thoughts. If I’m playing it’s all about the shot eg start direction and getting the ball at the target 🎯 if it’s a draw I’ll think about my right hand working over the left etc. It’s important that golfers save the technique side of things for practice and when you practice go with a plan and don’t give up on a drill because you find it hard, it’s hard for a reason stick with it and press on. Ps also make sure it’s the right thing book a lesson to get the right tasks otherwise you’ll get worse, and don’t consume too much UA-cam instruction. Paralysis by analysis. Thanks for the question I really appreciate it. 🙏
Love these simple drills that make sense and are easy to follow. Great work Matt!
Thank you, the great thing is you already know how to do these moves that’s what makes them easy. Thank you for the comment I appreciate it 🙏
Awesome drill
Thanks 🤩 I appreciate it

Good instruction. I would like to know your intention when striking the ball. Are you hitting down, sweeping, etc?
