Samsung galaxy note 20 ultra was the top. But now the time has taken its toll. And 23 is the best choice. You say that you need a rubbish for captv memory, but the speed of writing to flash drives is very slow than to internal memory. So this is no longer an argument. The sound, camera and increased autonomy of the galaxy s23 ultra are much better and do not give a chance to note.
Could you make a video with only photo comparisons? Specially low lights, testing focus (I used to suffer with my Note 20 Ultra focus taking pictures of documents).
@@jayplayiii9864 Good focusing depends on many things including sufficient light. But the newer phones are better in low light. That is, if you do a lot of low-light photography/video. That's one way to decide. If the cameras don't mean much, there's little incentive to upgrade. Maybe a longer batter life or a slightly brighter screen. But those are easy solves to me. Not like you need more storage. A definitely reason to upgrade. Since there's no way to fix that.

I still have the N20U, and it's still flawless. It works like a dream. The only downsides to it are that it's not going to go beyond Android 13 and probably only has another year of security patches until they become quarterly. So, at the moment, I can get a good trade on it for the S23U, but the longer I leave it, the less value it'll become. I like the slight curve on s23 ultra, it's easier to hold and certainly looks very premium since every android today has over the top curved displays
But yes, that note back then was groundbreaking, s- series today are just recycling the look
Was about to buy S23U to upgrade my N20U. But after watching this, I don't see much difference in the functionality and performance. Will hold onto my N20U. Still the best.
thanks! don't see much of a difference, ppl can pick up a note 20 ultra for $300 right now. the price dictates the mind
The bluetooth has also been upgraded from 5.0 to 5.3. So anybody using their phone (like myself) as a music streamer will notice an improvement in sound quality. Other than that very similar.
@Ashton Mitchell I definitely noticed the better sound through my Ifi Zen One signature DAC. Able to use LDAC now. Wasn't able to when my Note 20 only had 5.0.
This convinced me not to upgrade. I couldn't care less that the camera is better. The battery is definitely shit but I won't spend 1k for an improved battery and camera.
Not a big difference at all people who have the note 20 ultra should keep it for at least 5 years! I have the S23 ultra but i came from the note 20 ultra and its not a day and night difference between the note 20 ultra and the S23 ultra. My girlfriend has my note 20 ultra now and it's 3 years old now and still works the same as the day i bought it, and still looks as new to. It's the note 20 ultra snapdragon 865 version, the only thing is a little loss of the battery capacity. But she is going to replace the battery for a original new one at the samsung store, i think it will last another 3 years again.
What is the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 5G It is now with me for four years. No, it is a powerful and solid
device.
What I liked most about this device was its strength and solidity, it fell from me many times, and it was not affected at all.
But I'm now, four years later. I have to keep up with technology. By owning the Samsung Galaxy S23 .
THANK YOU
I have Note 20 Ultra and it doesn't even blink, still fresh and amazing 😍
Note 20 Ultra 5g Snapdragon is just a beast.
Keeping my note ultra 20 no expandable memory is a deal breaker
Love my s23 ultra but upgraded from s20 ultra now a s pen👍👍👍still like my old s20 ultra still holding on to it both seem solid as a rock Samsung number 1 👍👍👍Apple iPhone 14 pro max 🚽🚽🚽🚽🚽🚽😷😷😷😷😷😷💩💩💩💩
I've had my Note 20 Ultra since the day it came out back in 2020. No issues other than the less-than-great battery. No plans on upgrading until the hardware starts showing its age
Exactly same here, battery isnt great but the phone is superb, even the note10 plus i got also i superb i can use both side by side
When you say less than great how many hours do you get from your charge
@@hamzaalmeida7986 2 weeks
@@hamzaalmeida7986 Battery can drain completely within 8 hours from a full charge. I always charge throughout during the day though
@@janilee104 in my country the phone is selling for almost 1500 usd
Hence I was wondering whether it was worth paying for or going for note 20
Thanks, I have a Note 20U since Nov 2020 and I guess I will wait for the next Note series for me to have a reason to upgrade.
The S23 Ultra is better in photos.
@@lea_a67_ I just want to know if they fix those focus problems in the new generations.
Camera is not the strongest point in Note 20 Ultra
@@jayplayiii9864 Good focusing depends on many things including sufficient light. But the newer phones are better in low light. That is, if you do a lot of low-light photography/video.
That's one way to decide. If the cameras don't mean much, there's little incentive to upgrade. Maybe a longer batter life or a slightly brighter screen. But those are easy solves to me. Not like you need more storage. A definitely reason to upgrade. Since there's no way to fix that.
Note 20 ultra display is better than s23 ultra . More vivid eye catching colours
Still holding Note 9 (05/2023), no reason for upgrade yet... i think i will change it only when it break...
Why does every single review makes the lack of having a SD card not a big deal?
I don't use sd card since 2016 when it got corrupted and i lost all my files
I'm in the 30 day window (just picked up my s23 Ultra 256gb) this was recommended in store since I only used 83gb of my 512gb Note 20 Ultra! Huge MISTAKE!!
I wish someone would compare the s23 Ultra 256gb to the Note 20 Ultra 512gb ! The s23 can't come close! 2 things running in the background will cause the s23 Ultra to throw a fit !! While my Note 20 Ultra, I can have 5 or more and plow right through without flinching !!
Performance is almost the same in both but S23 is better in battery life, camera & the range of more updates
@@TechthroughToni battery life isn't any better on my end. Not enough to get past how the s23 bogs down with even 1 app running in the background! I can have 10 things opened in the background of my N20U , listening to music, playing a video game, checking emails and she just keeps chugging along!
There has to be a reason, these phones at almost 4 years old are still getting 800.00 Dollars for trade-ins !
I'm extremely disappointed!
Note20U is still a beast
Looking to get one to upgrade from my Note9!
I wish samsung bring back the SD card slot , for me if i m gonna pay so much money i wish i can have the full experience with full options .
We all know that getting rid of the SD card expension ,the headphone jack and the charger in the box are for pure commercial purposes and that unacceptable with that very high price that the consumer is paying.
That s why I feel that samsung innovation is getting less and less , and they are just focusing on the user interface experience and their own ecosystem trying to perfected like iOS did .
Hope they reconsider reputting them back , specially with that expensive price , better have the thing and not use it , then not having it while u do need it !
Note 20 ultra is still legendary..
Is it just me, or does the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra front hole punch camera look smaller than the Galaxy S23's front hole punch camera, and the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra display having thinner bezels than the Galaxy S23 Ultra display?
I've a N20 Ultra...and for the sheer fact I have a 512gb + 512gb SD card....and I still have the option to go up to a 1TB SD card....I can't step backwards and limit myself with the storage.
Well you have 1TB version of s23 ultra
@@TechthroughToni yes but that is only unlocked version ...I prefer the carrier version
@@waizeerhussain3720 why do you prefer a carrier version?
Same here. I need the additional piece of mind and security of a removable drive.
Well you will have to switch eventually, unless you want a Sony or midrange device.
So basically their selling you the same phone 📱 with same options, with same performance, and the same B.S lagging, when a new same phone comes out. No thanks, I'm sticking with my NOTE 20 Ultra. Phone innovation has not advanced, since the IPhone 5th generation. corporate has been milking the cow with same B.S. The Holograph phones should have been here by now.
With the exception of 5G, there are no truly new advance that, most of us really need.
This video is useless take the plastic off your two year old phone so we can compare graphics without bubbles in the other screen and this is the cheaper version of the s23 ultra the other two models have 12 gigs of ram comparing two phone when one has half the ram does not seem like a fair comparison
I just replaced the display of note 20 ultra and i didn’t want to scratch it. Sorry
No SD card expansion slot. Pay more for less. Save and keep using your N20U folks, not worth it.
Okay but some people might want to upgrade the camera..
pass. ill keep my note!
Absolutely. I'm keeping my Note20 Ultra... I'm surprised.
Samsung made a huge good mistake with the Note 20 Ultra by making the phone too good and futuristic that they can't make anything extremely better than it. Still rocking my mystic bronze and getting the mystic white soon after which I will trade off the bronze.
Gonn
Too bad it won't receive updates anymore..
Still have my Note 20 Ultra and it works perfectly, it takes amazing pictures for my vacations, no need to replace it!
Acho q qm já tem o 20 ultra, só vale apenas trocar pelo 24 ultra. Sem falar q o 20, é mais elegante.
Great video!!!🎉 I'm searching a replacement for the Spen on my Note20 Ultra. Nevertheless, I only find the s23 ultra Spen. Should I buy the S23 ultra spen? Is it identical to fit with the Note20 Ultra?
Again, great video
It works but get a Note 20 Ultra s pen
they look exactly the same ( size, length, width)
How comes? Note 20 ultra is 6.9 and S23 Ultra is 6.8
Display size is not the same size, despite the fact that frame size might look the same.
@@TechthroughToni the difference it's very very small
@@levinste2750 It is, and less of a curve if that means anything to anybody. Its a meaningless change to me.
My note 20 Ultra snapdragon still getting OTA updates. New updates improved battery performance and camera processing . I will never think of moving to another phone. Its a beast. 🫡
As long as it does what I need it to do, no need to waste money for an upgrade.
Absolutely no need to buy a S23 Ultra.
Unless money is no object and you just like having the latest tech. The S23 is much faster but nobody that's not a gamer will ever notice.
Still rocking on my note 20 ultra 12/256 and yes i have exynos eu version , but for me is still a great phone , great cameras and great performance, ok baterry is not perfect but some weeks ago i chenged battery and is way more better . To be honest don't see reasons to change this great phone for now and still will getting security updates until august 2024. Im happy with my note and even if exynos..

Hi
yep... ill keep my note 20 ultra 512 gigs, even the battery is going tired. love it too much.
You can easily upgrade to a new battery.
@@krane15 What does that run approximately?
@@lisaalony415 I don't know, mine was purchased refurbish with a new battery. But it shouldn't be that difficult to look it up.
Anyway, smartphone battery cost vary just like any other types of battery depending on type and charge (they're all made in China though). Some can cost $20 while other can cost twice that. Not including the installation/labor cost, unless you can do it yourself.
That's just how it is with labor where the sky's the limit. For example, a garage can change your oil for $30, while the dealer will charge you $130, to do the exact same thing.
@@krane15 yep
Cool clip! Note battery drains fairly, even in sleep mode, since 2020. And aware Samsung discontinuing updates either now or soon. Upgrade Note20Ultra > S23Ultra?
Hold on to the note 20 Ultra until it becomes unusable..
Note20 Ultra, the best and most beautiful smartphone ever built in history.
Look how it still competes with a phone 3 years after release.
Facts I have 1 and it's hard to make this phone better..
I think the only thing that's gonna be better than this phone in the future is when they get the foldable phones right
just the face that note 20 ultra afford sd slot already beat any of the new features, you can't really put too much with 1tb considering images and video quality nowdays are way better
If I ever decide to go back to Galaxy, I’ll probably get whatever S Ultra phone is latest at that time
I do have one nitpick regarding Galaxy S phones though. Even with a phone case on, the screens are more likely to crack due to them curving outward.
Now S24 Ultra has a flat display
The best phone note 20 ultra after 2 years 🎉❤❤❤
I still have the N20U, and it's still flawless. It works like a dream. The only downsides to it are that it's not going to go beyond Android 13 and probably only has another year of security patches until they become quarterly.
So, at the moment, I can get a good trade on it for the S23U, but the longer I leave it, the less value it'll become. Hmmm,
I also like the fact that the S23U uses the snapdragon 8gen 2 chip and can use 120hz with the full resolution and better camera 👍
Note 20ultra 2k 48hz 120hz working
That's how they build in obsolescence. Although the latest quirks and features won't stop it from working.
Hi with all du respect i want know note 20 ultra buttery time??? Becoz u used it.i am not heavy user.just facebook and UA-cam or call.
I decided to upgrade. I might as well take advantage of the improved battery life and the four years of update on the S23.
Still not convinced to upgrade. I'm loving my note 20 ultra
Snapdragon? Exynos? Galaxy Note 20 ultra 5g ✊✊✊
NotE 20 UltrA 😈
Long story short. If you got the note 20 ultra there is no need to get the s23 Ultra
Except for a few things..
@Tech through Toni I'm only planning on upgrading to a fold after the note ultra
I've the Note 20 Ultra, and I want to update. I'm very undecided between the new S23 Ultra and the iPhone 14 Pro Max. In terms of software, I like both, but what matters to me the most on a phone is Camera Quality, Battery Life and Screen Quality. Which one should I choose?
S23 ULTRA , I think ..
I-have2 phones . Note 20 ultra for personal , 13 pro max for work !I like both , but if I had to pick just one phone to have I would Go with the Samsung ! I preorders the S23 ultra as my note 20 ultra ive had it for 3 years and it’s Time to upgrade !
You're coming from a Samsung phone.
Go for the S23 Ultra.
if possible get a cheap iPhone.
An iPhone 11 pro or something in that price range to use it as a secondary phone and get used to an iPhone..
@@TechthroughToni I've an iPhone X and I like it. That's why it's being so hard for me to decide
@@luisfernandes_7 well in this case you go for the iPhone 14 Pro Max and if possible get a cheap option (maybe used) on a flagship device from Samsung. (A good example would be the Samsung Galaxy S22, S21FE,S20FE). In this case you will get used to Samsung and maybe next time you make a big purchase you go for a Samsung phone..
A few people in comments said they not upgrading to the s23u, its better than the note but not a great deal better. But what if you had the exynos version of the note20u, should you upgrade to the snapdragon s23u? Might be the glare, screen protector but the colors on the note looks faded, the s23u colors looks better.
I recommend updating despite what version of Note 20 Ultra you have
We still remember that Note were the Boss of Samsung serieses , Even the real owner of S Pen,
S was child of note no comparison at that time, unfortunately Samsung continued S and discontinued Note, wish they continue it....
I have the galaxy note 20 ultra and will be giving it to my mom as a nice upgrade for her. Still in pristine condition. Getting the unlocked version of the S23 ultra. Win win for me 🤝
You'll love the camera of the S23
Galaxy note 20 ultra super
im not seeing any reason to upgrade from my N20U. Im not an avid photo taker so the camera upgrade still isnt a selling point. It looks like they perform almost identically. Ill stick with what ive got till it inevitably wont get any more updates. then Ill upgrade. hopfully by then there will be something far better out there.
I'm curious are you in America? My note 20 ultra doesn't have that 5G logo on start up
That note 20 Ultra is the asian version
used note 20 ultra with a 1 year warranty. $350. vs a new s23 ultra $1200
buy the new one if u have money to waste. its the better phone but only by a minute margin.
A 1 year warranty for $350? Too good to be true.
@@krane15 I've seen them for around that price. More like $400 for a refurbished with a one year guarantee.
Still running an note9, for like 4 years I think.
Dropped it and now my screen is cracked after all those years.
And now the battery is start to having problems, like heating up and slow charging times.
I am doubting the 23ultra but does it still feel like an note and could you still use the penci the same way?
I am anoyed by the fact the app menu is big, only 3 apps wide whilst my note 9 makes smaller icons so i can put more apps in one app page.
The N20U is the exynos or snapdragon version ?
