I have 3 minolta x700 one for parts, one as a daily and the other in mint condition for display. Out of my 40+ camera collection of mixed brand it’s my favorite and I have some really awesome glass for it
I made a video a couple of weeks ago about my entire collection of cameras but already it's out of date and I now have even more! Thankfully I've not uploaded the video yet! Have I bought the same camera twice? Yeah I bought a Panasonic DMC Lumix G3, paid just £45 it evenncame wity the 14-42 zoom lens, enjoyed using it so much but it was up for sale at £180, the idea was to yse it for a while but it wentvreally quick, kind of regretted selling it. Looked out for another equally as cheap but prices seemed to be going up, eventually snagged one for £60 with the same lens, bag, 2 memory cards and even the sun hood which my last one lacked... It's a keeper for now at least. How many is too many? No comment...😳😲 Re the Olympus line of mju models, I've had a few, including an mju II zoom 170 and an mju zoom 105, best thing is finding a dirt cheap one and flipping it for crazy money 💰 My mju II zoom 170 cost me just £10 I sold it on for £180 😮 My zoom 105 I paid £20 and sold for £140.....😁 I've added your channel, hopefully you'll connect with another retro photographer.
I have about 10 different cameras, all for different looks and views. It's too many sure, but with simple adapter rings I make many lenses work across brands. I recently won a Nikon ZFC with a kit lens in a photo competition, which didn't fit anything else I prevously had, but I still decided to keep it because it's look. I think our G.A.S syndrom (gear accumalation syndrom) is also because with each camera, film and lens create a distinct look. It is maybe also to keep the process varied and fun. To also add about the film rerevolution and old digital cameras: my dad, who has been an award winning photographer for over 30 years once said "What I actually hate most about the modern camera industry from my camera, to photoshop to even my printer is, that they all try to create perfection. What I want is imperfection, since that is where I get to tell my personal story within".
Nice pickup for $5! Your Zoom 80 has the word "Epic" in the name, the "Epic" models are newer and have a better build quality than the ones with just Stylus in the name. Also, the Epic versions seem to have a much faster flash cycle time in my experience. I have thrifted a few of these over the years thinking I could never have too many cameras. My intent was to have a few as backups to when my original Stylus Epic broke, but it my original is still going strong even thought it is really battered and gaff tape is holding the battery door closed, that's a real testament to the durability of those Styluses. I enjoyed the video and love these little point and shoot cameras! Were all these photos shot on Kodak Ultramax or did you use other films?

Yes. Bought a Canon F1. Sold it. Bought another one a year later. Yes, pineapple is a legitimate pizza topping option.

Rad! Originally I was mostly interested in their side by side performance but this is so much more insight then I sought out. Thanks for sharing!
The limit does not exist.
😅
Yes there is no such thing as too many cameras, well at least not until you want to take them all with you for your travels 😂
Hah! Best Comment! 😆 😂
