I'm so glad I found this video! I've been having the same issues on my FiTech Ultra Ram on my 350. Initial timing set for 10° but can't adjust the IAC down because it zero's out from the beginning which indicates a vacuum leak and high idle. Everything is plugged so it must be the base of the intake. I'm going to pull it and see if it's the same issue as yours. Are you using a 2 wire ready to run distributor, or are you locking it out for timing control? I'm at a total loss with Fitech. They pretty much quit responding. I'd like to get the car on the road this summer and this helps.
@@tBusket no I am still having issues. I returned the intake and they sent it back saying it is to specs. I even purchased another intake with the same results. Changed heads and gaskets and still have the same issue. Fitech is no help. There has to be an issue with the system. I’ll work on it again this coming weekend and see if I find the issue.
Here's my update. ua-cam.com/video/Rl9NeuHvjvU/v-deo.htmlsi=S9C65CPN4fxMp8ji After 2 months of back and forth, FiTech offered to replace the unit, then kept sending me requests to check other things (MAP numbers, IAC plunger, etc). It takes up to a week or longer for their tech dept to respond. It's almost like they have no clue what to look for, or properly diagnose. These units aren't shelved either. There was a lead time when I ordered it as they had to build it. So far it has been a waste of $2000. Anyone who watches this, beware. It's a 50/50 gamble whether it works or not and a 100% certainty their customer service leaves you high and dry.
@@tBusket you are absolutely right, their tech does not know what they are doing or they are playing it off. I am hearing a lot of the same story about this system. I will be doing a video of their intake, including measuring it and taking it to a machine shop to repair it. Yes they want to blame everything. Yes they will tell you it is your engine and not their system.
@@antonep4721 don’t order it. Nothing but trouble with the system, I sent the intake back to them because of imperfections and leaks. I had to pay for the shipping and they sent it back in the same condition, stating it was good. I don’t think they even looked at it, because I intentionally sent it back with oil inside and that’s how they sent it back without cleaning it. They continue to blame the new engine for the problem instead of there system. I’ve installed plenty of sniper systems without any issues and some Fitech throttle body systems. But this one is not a good design.
Man I just put this in my cart, guess I'll be taking it out right away. Thanks for saving me the headache
@@jeffreycurry8824 yes I would not buy it, just my opinion from experience.

@@reyracer I just pulled mine and found oil in the intake too.
@@tBusket I installed a oil baffle and that stopped the oil going to the intake. But still having an issue. I’ll keep you updated.
@@tBusketI uploaded another video about the ultra ram.
