Plus, in the fandom at least, she’s depicted as a “mommy type” character from certain corners of the internet, and I don’t hate that.
@@OpPezGaming And she's not the only one like with Kanako, Eirin, Keine, Yuuka, Komachi, Eiki (when the fandom doesn't pipsqueak-ize her worse than Edward Elric), Yuugi, Ran, Okina, Yuyuko, Keiki, and I could go on....even the younger looking ones like Cirno has at least 60 years old or in Flandre's case 500 years. Yukari is definitely that old if not older being a Sage and being there when Gensokyo first existed. I like how the fanon went with the "Forever 17" angle for her even in *Touhou Lost Word.*
I exaggerate, but I’ve played fighting games for quite a while until 2019. Realistically, I would need a bit of time before understanding the mechanics.
@@OpPezGaming Luckily the Touhou fighting games are a lot more flexible. The older ones have card supers and typical fighting game motions while the newer ones are a bit more button mashy.
This video is a bit dated. The artwork of mainline Touhou has vastly improved, two more fighting games have been made (15.5/Antinomy of Common Flowers is great on single player and PVP) and the Switch Eshop has started officially selling Touhou fangames. The ones I recommend are Azure Reflections to test the waters in case you're planning on playing the official games, Lotus Labyrinth if you like roguelikes, Spell Bubble for a puzzle-music mix, Luna Nights for being the best Touhou Castlevania so far and Shoujo Tale of Beautiful Memories if you want a game in the style of the original Super Mario RPG.
"Not Great, but good" They didn't include "Kobito of the Shining Needle" because I would cause any normie to have an immediate seizure from the greatness.

Also Reimu for Smash when, Nintendo?
"If it exists, it has a Touhou parody!"
Also the only inaccurate thing about this video is the "little girls" bit if we consider the Touhou canon and well the age of the Touhou characters (with rare anime examples). But for the purpose of the info video I guess it makes sense.
Also lotta sites like moriyashrinedotorg where you can find those Touhou games.
Btw fun fact: You can add the Scarlet Weather Rhapsody characters to Touhou Hisoutensoku if you do some configdotini and merge both games into a single folder. 📁
@@v.emiltheii-nd.8094 The only one I recall off the top of my head is Yukari Yakumo being +1000 years old, because “Anime logic!” I know it’s sacrilegious calling Touhou anime, but it’s clear where it’s roots are from.
Not a fighting game expert but decent enough....
Not to mention floaty for the latter.
Now if you wanna show true skill play Kyanta 2.
I’m aware that the video is dated. I reacted to this video because a viewer of mine linked this for me to react to.
Thank you for the recommendations!
Late to the party but you should really consider pausing instead of trying to talk over the video. Look at asmongold or any other variety streamer.
"Not Great, but good" They didn't include "Kobito of the Shining Needle" because I would cause any normie to have an immediate seizure from the greatness.
