In this situation, having less is more. Guns coming out slower, but them being more fun, unique and actually viable is a win in my eyes. If they can manage that of course. Also, I would really love it if the devs could let us choose an armor perk in the preparation phase instead of having to select armor to get a perk. This would allow us to use armor that looks cool, but never sees the light of day because they have trash perks.

The rundown is that it’ll never happen, armours have a specific look for a specific purpose and they think it would be silly to integrate transmog as you could run a heavy, bulky looking armour and run around super fast with scout stats

As a DRG Grey beard, I've been wanting a sawed off shotgun as a secondary in this game. Now all I need is a stratagem with a mini-gun and a ammunition chain pack to atacht to it.
As long as they never change how War Bonds are fundamentally, like finding enough premium coins in the maps, and the WB never expiring, so you always have time to grind them out, everything is fine.
I hope at some point they make a snow related change to the polar armour to improve it a small bit. But I am excited for this version of warbond design
I'm using the blue armor on the third page right now, but I'm still confused as to why it's basically just a reskin of the light armor I used prior with the scout perk. I think it should have some form of unique buff in snowy environments and maybe even a hindrance when on a hot planet. It would make it so we actively want to swap armors when using the ones in the premium bonds

It's good news, but I also really hope they go back on the warbonds they've already released thus far and apply the same philosophy, if and when possible. So many weapons are just unusable at higher difficulties and you'd just be shooting yourself in the foot (sometimes literally) if you picked them, especially primaries. A lot of boosters could really use some love as well. The walkers as well. There's a lot of work to be done still to make the game attractive again. But it's arrowheaded in the right direction, or so it would seem.
Facts. Polar patriots already has all armor passives we already have. Would be nice to grab them for ice planets to keep you from slipping on ice and etc. should have different armor choices to help with different planets. Would give a more skill set to the game. And desire to get warbonds
And honestly the fact that we get less weopons is not a problem for me, we have already a lot of weopons they just need to be reworked and if they do that right it would be like having new cool weopons.
Hey Stylosa, here’s a tip for the flamethrower: when using the flamethrower against chargers, choose a leg and use the flamethrower on said leg until it dies, it kills much faster that way and can be done very consistently and easily with stun grenades. And here’s a tip for how to use the flamethrower on automatons: don’t.
Im hyped but i wish there would be more of the "normal" emotes that we can use on the planets instead of another bunch of victory poses something like the rock-paper-scisors emote we have. Would be sick.
The Test of Conviction emote is this WB, is exactly that. It's like RPS, but a standing arm wrestle, like in Predator, where you will probably button smash to beat your friend
I wonder if they'd be interested in retroactively designing new armor passives for past Warbonds such as Polar Patriots. Establishing new niches would go a ways towards redeeming past content.
This just kinda proves why arrowhead is one of my favorite developers. They really adjust to criticism and flaws faster than almost developers. This is what I want the warbonds to be. Hopefully this frees up recourses to fix other issues. Like I’m still waiting for cross play friend request to be fixed.

im also impressed with the location they used for the previews, so far every planet i have dived on both terminid and automaton sides are mostly vast fields with a bit of elevation and rocky outcrops or with pockets of vegetation, but that jungle was different
I think this is the right play. Its a lot better getting 1 really solid weapon than getting 3 mediocre to garbage weapons. It also allows them to develop other things such as patterns. The carbine we'll see how good it is because ARs have all been really bad and the shotgun secondary is a shotgun, need I say more? The throwing knife appears to be just a grenade that has massive single target dmg which is very nice, the booster is pretty unique compared to the rest seeing as they're all just timer changes for the most part. Its also just a lot better for balance because adding 3 guns and realizing you have to make changes to all 3 guns I can't imagine would be the most thorough in what needs to be changed.
Note if you guys remember also next week there is going to be a balance patch. And I don't want to hear tHeY ArE GoGiNg tO nErF sTuFf when the former CEO of Arrowhead became creative directive to look into the game and make it fun. And those Nerfs are from that guy from hello neighbor.

These Loadout drop/theme drops are a good thing. Sort of like a new bit of spice that comes from super earth's best. I always agreed with the warbonds feeling rushed. I love that the community isnt up at arms about this and understands. It makes for a very nice player/dev dynamic for the future of the game. 🎉🎉🎉

I still maintain that the Polar Patriots warbond was meant to embody the fantasy of soldiers fighting in cold places, not fighting with cryogenic weapons. If you're already fighting in ultalow temperatures, why would you want to make things colder? I think the impact incendiary was one of the most fitting items in that warbond as it reminds me of a Molotov cocktail and conjures images of the Winter War in Finland for me. I do definitely think the armor should have offered some bonuses for movement/stability on ice and in blizzards. However cryogenic weapons would have made no sense at all in that warbond and would have ruined the immersion for me. That said, I do think cryogenic weapons would be awesome in a future warbond, and I hope they do add them eventually.
Considering how pathetic that warbond was overall, I'd say "immersion" is just about worthless in this case as a barometer of good content. They would have been better off putting a good lava spraying gun in and ignoring immersion completely than doing what they did.

I really like the game. If you take some time and practice, you'll find that most weapons work brilliantly if use properly. In my opinion people are asking to much of a 40,- indy game.

Honestly, the knife would bounce off pretty much everything, unless you hit a weak spot on a small target. A throwing knife doesn't punch through anything that's tougher than plywood.

There have been a few time when the whole squad was just standing there, four across just ammo dumping everything into a forest full bugs but instead of hitting nothing, we hit everthing. This will make those moments feel that much better.
Alright I'll be that guy, we're getting another Liberator? More recoil, same damage, and better handling? That definately feels underwhelming to me, though the bushwacker does look fun and I like the armor passives. Problem is they still haven't fixed the old weapons and they're literally making another variant, of a gun that already has 2 variants. My biggest excitement is for the side arm, armor, and new maps!
Yeah the update will be coming with this warbond this coming week as far as im aware. They stated they are taking their time from now on so they can actually fine tune stuff. I wouldn't expect them to fix everything in this next patch but i am hoping they start with primaries and work their way around to other things, i know the enemy patrols are messed up especially for solo players so that should take priority Asap as well
This is great news. Can you imagine a throwing knife with low damage but highly buffs arc throwing weapons for a couple of shots ? It would act like a lightning rod penetrating the skin/armor. Perfect for support! I would love to see more weapons interaction like that.
Pretty sure handling also decreased reload time and it probably will have better damage or something, it was in the original game and I think it’s cool there adding more from hd1
maybe will be good for console plebs who need snappy aim. Mouse dont need snappy aim and wont benefit. Unless as usual the gun is poorly explained. If it has good strafe speed then it could be minor useful.

@@NthnLikeCodeine well it just depends on the stats, the liberator and knife probably wont be that useful. but the booster if the damage reduction and movement speed is a decent boost could be. and i think if the shotgun does like 450-500 damage per shot it could be too. and the armor wouldnt be half bad if it improves handling by alot. its just donna depend on the exact stats which we dont know right now.

throwing knives could go crazy for stealth. being able to take out an enemy quietly from a distance could clear a path into the enemy camp or objective so you can get in and get out without a fight.
Literally don't care about cosmetics. Weapons look to be possibly worse than the last warbond. Thankfully the game gives more than enough super credits because I wouldn't pay for this.
I love showing the combat knife on bugs! Now how is a single shot thrown weapon with no area effect useful against hordes of bugs? I guess we'll find out! (I'm not holding my breath, even though they look cool)

I felt that quality when saw dat huge neck on the trailer. That quality is stunning how they are taking existing armor parts and retexturing them. The quality gonna kick hard when you see dude with naked arms on the snowy or lunar planet ---- I mean what the hell you are talking about? quality means that it is something that brings the new expirience to the game... not to say that skins on usless stuff are worse than an additional armor the content could make the quality... weapons are the real content there. furthermore, primary weapons are mostly important... and there is only 1 instead of 3. just in what universe do you see this warbond could be defended by the "quality over quantity" argument?
It represents a large shift in their philosophy when releasing new content. A change that comes from them listening to feedback. It's a big deal and I'm stoked for it
I see a lot of issues with these weapons that put them straight into the bin when they release this warbond. Hopefully they are going to get on that weapon balance soon.
I am pretty sure it has the same amount of items as the other warbonds, just that they replaced 1 set of armor and weapons for a title and skins for your vehicles. TBH the trade isn't terrible as most armor in the other warbonds didn't really Add anything significantly new mechanics wise apart from the electricity resistant armor.
I like that they didn't change the warbonds sooner. Now we have quite few weapons to choose from that they can now balance against each other. It is fine to slow down weapon releases now, that we have quite the choice. Sure lot of it was released too fast but not enough guns was also a complain and always got people exited.
Judging by the fire rate of the new liberator, it’ll have a mag capacity of five rounds max. Anything more than that would be too much power for the players

the effect improving weapon handling? This is definitely designed to run that crossbow, the mini shotgun, the throwing knife, and either the machine gun or stalwart. (HMG just doesn't have enough bullets to work)

Also Arrowhead: "here's new skins and warbond to lessen the 5% liberation loss. But we'll nerf the weapons soon enough and when the skins become a meta, we'll colour everything neon pink so bugs and bots see you from the next match so you'll be swarmed with reinforcements!
Gonna be honest, i dont like this change to the warbonds. If anything, it only exacerbates the problem. Now we have even less weapons in our warbonds, mewning that if they suck, or arent unique enough, you're SOL for another month or two. Not to mention, now weve got skins? This is terrible for a number of reasons. We're trading off more weapons an armor, stuff that we use for a majority of the gameplay, that actually effects how we play, for new patterns for our *hellpod* which we will see one time. The loading screen when dropping onto a planet. Same with the pelican, youll only see it at extraction. Do you see the issue here? I would be fine with it, if they werent trading off how many actual items we get for our warbonds. The issue with the warbonds not fitting the theme, couldve been solved by, oh i dont know, just making them fit the theme??? Give us a cryo grenade, passives for the armor, and maybe a ice thrower or something, then itd be fine. This isnt hard to get down, they did it with cutting edge and the first warbond. All in all, this feels like a downgrade, and doesnt solve the core issue, that being, AH just messed up with the last two warbonds, and they need to put more thought into them. Giving us skins for our hellpods and stuff doesnt fix that.

I am! I’d rather get fewer weapons that are properly balanced than more weapons that aren’t. I’m not the biggest fan of camo but I really like that they’re starting to give us more customization options. These skins are the first of many! Plus, the armors and the throwing knife look sick!
Vehicles such as an APC and a dune buggy with a mg on the back got leaked months ago. Not sure when they'll be out, ton of content that got leaked months ago is still awaiting to be launched.
They should make it so u can have different type of stims like one that makes you rage for a bit (move faster, higher melee damage and small health boost)
I really hope the throwing knife will be like the throwing axes in deep rock galactic where they have such high single target damage that it's hard to not replace your grenades for it. I main throwing axes on driller and I want to main this throwing knife. There is nothing quite like sharp things flying through the air
they should update the polar war bond to make it so you have regular walking grip on ice as you would on solid land and if you do not have it equipped then you would slide around on the ice.
If we're going to get Warbonds on a less frequent scale, and with less items, they should cost less and I hope they extend the cap on the amount of medals you can have. 250 is too easily reached, 500 or 1000 would be great. Or let us trade them for samples. Just like Req Slips, I'm earning far beyond what I'm capped at.
If the release schedule is extended, it makes no sense to reduce the cost because people will be able to just get the credits required more easily through play. Even with the current rate of warbond releases, I have no issues doing so just by playing normally and not even trying to farm them on Trivial or something.

They need to revamp the armor system. The cutting edge warbond armors are 90% useless but are some of the coolest armors in the game.

Hey Stylosa, here’s a tip for the flamethrower: when using the flamethrower against chargers, choose a leg and use the flamethrower on said leg until it dies, it kills much faster that way and can be done very consistently and easily with stun grenades. And here’s a tip for how to use the flamethrower on automatons: don’t.
Im hyped but i wish there would be more of the "normal" emotes that we can use on the planets instead of another bunch of victory poses something like the rock-paper-scisors emote we have. Would be sick.

I wonder if they'd be interested in retroactively designing new armor passives for past Warbonds such as Polar Patriots. Establishing new niches would go a ways towards redeeming past content.
This just kinda proves why arrowhead is one of my favorite developers. They really adjust to criticism and flaws faster than almost developers. This is what I want the warbonds to be. Hopefully this frees up recourses to fix other issues. Like I’m still waiting for cross play friend request to be fixed.

im also impressed with the location they used for the previews, so far every planet i have dived on both terminid and automaton sides are mostly vast fields with a bit of elevation and rocky outcrops or with pockets of vegetation, but that jungle was different
I think this is the right play. Its a lot better getting 1 really solid weapon than getting 3 mediocre to garbage weapons. It also allows them to develop other things such as patterns. The carbine we'll see how good it is because ARs have all been really bad and the shotgun secondary is a shotgun, need I say more? The throwing knife appears to be just a grenade that has massive single target dmg which is very nice, the booster is pretty unique compared to the rest seeing as they're all just timer changes for the most part. Its also just a lot better for balance because adding 3 guns and realizing you have to make changes to all 3 guns I can't imagine would be the most thorough in what needs to be changed.
Note if you guys remember also next week there is going to be a balance patch. And I don't want to hear tHeY ArE GoGiNg tO nErF sTuFf when the former CEO of Arrowhead became creative directive to look into the game and make it fun. And those Nerfs are from that guy from hello neighbor.

I always agreed with the warbonds feeling rushed. I love that the community isnt up at arms about this and understands. It makes for a very nice player/dev dynamic for the future of the game. 🎉🎉🎉

The new liberator was originally a cut weapon from the base game. Nice to see them adding it back in a warbond, now I can be a real commando.

I still maintain that the Polar Patriots warbond was meant to embody the fantasy of soldiers fighting in cold places, not fighting with cryogenic weapons. If you're already fighting in ultalow temperatures, why would you want to make things colder? I think the impact incendiary was one of the most fitting items in that warbond as it reminds me of a Molotov cocktail and conjures images of the Winter War in Finland for me. I do definitely think the armor should have offered some bonuses for movement/stability on ice and in blizzards. However cryogenic weapons would have made no sense at all in that warbond and would have ruined the immersion for me. That said, I do think cryogenic weapons would be awesome in a future warbond, and I hope they do add them eventually.
Considering how pathetic that warbond was overall, I'd say "immersion" is just about worthless in this case as a barometer of good content.
They would have been better off putting a good lava spraying gun in and ignoring immersion completely than doing what they did.

Honestly, the knife would bounce off pretty much everything, unless you hit a weak spot on a small target. A throwing knife doesn't punch through anything that's tougher than plywood.

There have been a few time when the whole squad was just standing there, four across just ammo dumping everything into a forest full bugs but instead of hitting nothing, we hit everthing. This will make those moments feel that much better.
Alright I'll be that guy, we're getting another Liberator? More recoil, same damage, and better handling? That definately feels underwhelming to me, though the bushwacker does look fun and I like the armor passives. Problem is they still haven't fixed the old weapons and they're literally making another variant, of a gun that already has 2 variants.
My biggest excitement is for the side arm, armor, and new maps!

Yeah the update will be coming with this warbond this coming week as far as im aware. They stated they are taking their time from now on so they can actually fine tune stuff. I wouldn't expect them to fix everything in this next patch but i am hoping they start with primaries and work their way around to other things, i know the enemy patrols are messed up especially for solo players so that should take priority Asap as well
I believe the large balance patch is also coming around the same week the new warbond drops, it was confirmed by Baskinator in the discord
This is how they'll get collabs to work, trying to make warbonds with actual gear that relates to the themes theyre trying to sell.

This is great news. Can you imagine a throwing knife with low damage but highly buffs arc throwing weapons for a couple of shots ? It would act like a lightning rod penetrating the skin/armor. Perfect for support!

maybe will be good for console plebs who need snappy aim. Mouse dont need snappy aim and wont benefit. Unless as usual the gun is poorly explained. If it has good strafe speed then it could be minor useful.

@@NthnLikeCodeine well it just depends on the stats, the liberator and knife probably wont be that useful. but the booster if the damage reduction and movement speed is a decent boost could be. and i think if the shotgun does like 450-500 damage per shot it could be too. and the armor wouldnt be half bad if it improves handling by alot. its just donna depend on the exact stats which we dont know right now.
@@NthnLikeCodeine have you heard of fun? try using fun weapons instead of meta, that shotgun secondary could totally be a really good weapon if you are running the eruptor or scorcher to make up for its lack of close quarters ability
throwing knives could go crazy for stealth. being able to take out an enemy quietly from a distance could clear a path into the enemy camp or objective so you can get in and get out without a fight.
Literally don't care about cosmetics. Weapons look to be possibly worse than the last warbond.
Thankfully the game gives more than enough super credits because I wouldn't pay for this.
I love showing the combat knife on bugs! Now how is a single shot thrown weapon with no area effect useful against hordes of bugs? I guess we'll find out! (I'm not holding my breath, even though they look cool)

The quality of textures for such huge things as exosuit, shuttle and pelican is a GOAT that turns the game on the whole new level.
I felt that quality when saw dat huge neck on the trailer.
That quality is stunning how they are taking existing armor parts and retexturing them.
The quality gonna kick hard when you see dude with naked arms on the snowy or lunar planet

the content could make the quality... weapons are the real content there. furthermore, primary weapons are mostly important... and there is only 1 instead of 3.

It represents a large shift in their philosophy when releasing new content. A change that comes from them listening to feedback. It's a big deal and I'm stoked for it
I see a lot of issues with these weapons that put them straight into the bin when they release this warbond. Hopefully they are going to get on that weapon balance soon.
In that case premium warbonds price should be reduced for having less items.

I am pretty sure it has the same amount of items as the other warbonds, just that they replaced 1 set of armor and weapons for a title and skins for your vehicles. TBH the trade isn't terrible as most armor in the other warbonds didn't really Add anything significantly new mechanics wise apart from the electricity resistant armor.

I like that they didn't change the warbonds sooner. Now we have quite few weapons to choose from that they can now balance against each other. It is fine to slow down weapon releases now, that we have quite the choice. Sure lot of it was released too fast but not enough guns was also a complain and always got people exited.
Judging by the fire rate of the new liberator, it’ll have a mag capacity of five rounds max. Anything more than that would be too much power for the players

I don’t understand why you glazers can’t admit this just looks kinda awful. There’s not a single thing here that looks like it will be useful in high level play. This is just another warbond everyone will buy to take it into 1 match until they realize they’re throwing and having to be carried by the squad because they want to have fun
the effect improving weapon handling? This is definitely designed to run that crossbow, the mini shotgun, the throwing knife, and either the machine gun or stalwart. (HMG just doesn't have enough bullets to work)

Gonna be honest, i dont like this change to the warbonds. If anything, it only exacerbates the problem. Now we have even less weapons in our warbonds, mewning that if they suck, or arent unique enough, you're SOL for another month or two. Not to mention, now weve got skins? This is terrible for a number of reasons. We're trading off more weapons an armor, stuff that we use for a majority of the gameplay, that actually effects how we play, for new patterns for our *hellpod* which we will see one time. The loading screen when dropping onto a planet. Same with the pelican, youll only see it at extraction. Do you see the issue here? I would be fine with it, if they werent trading off how many actual items we get for our warbonds. The issue with the warbonds not fitting the theme, couldve been solved by, oh i dont know, just making them fit the theme??? Give us a cryo grenade, passives for the armor, and maybe a ice thrower or something, then itd be fine. This isnt hard to get down, they did it with cutting edge and the first warbond. All in all, this feels like a downgrade, and doesnt solve the core issue, that being, AH just messed up with the last two warbonds, and they need to put more thought into them. Giving us skins for our hellpods and stuff doesnt fix that.
Don't give a shit about any of this. Where are the powerful weapons like before? Giving us less weapons but a bunch of cosmetic crap does not change the fact that they nerfed this game into Oblivion. In any weapon that they do add they're just going to Nerf it I really hope that I'm wrong

I am! I’d rather get fewer weapons that are properly balanced than more weapons that aren’t. I’m not the biggest fan of camo but I really like that they’re starting to give us more customization options. These skins are the first of many! Plus, the armors and the throwing knife look sick!

Vehicles such as an APC and a dune buggy with a mg on the back got leaked months ago. Not sure when they'll be out, ton of content that got leaked months ago is still awaiting to be launched.

Honestly what I'm most excited about is the deep jungle map shown in the trailer. Hopefully that's the whole planet and not just one zone.
They should make it so u can have different type of stims like one that makes you rage for a bit (move faster, higher melee damage and small health boost)
I really hope the throwing knife will be like the throwing axes in deep rock galactic where they have such high single target damage that it's hard to not replace your grenades for it. I main throwing axes on driller and I want to main this throwing knife. There is nothing quite like sharp things flying through the air
they should update the polar war bond to make it so you have regular walking grip on ice as you would on solid land and if you do not have it equipped then you would slide around on the ice.

If we're going to get Warbonds on a less frequent scale, and with less items, they should cost less and I hope they extend the cap on the amount of medals you can have. 250 is too easily reached, 500 or 1000 would be great. Or let us trade them for samples. Just like Req Slips, I'm earning far beyond what I'm capped at.
If the release schedule is extended, it makes no sense to reduce the cost because people will be able to just get the credits required more easily through play. Even with the current rate of warbond releases, I have no issues doing so just by playing normally and not even trying to farm them on Trivial or something.
