- The Van Der Linde Gang go to Blackwater to get into a heavy shootout with the law. (Note: it's still impossible to reach Thieves Landing even with 8 gang members because you will get instant death from a sniper regardless of the range from the enemy NPC. The game is scripted for Arthur to die if you go further past the town.
It pains me to see this, because I’m the only active member of the Dutch Van Der Linde gang.

You can can't get everybody but in the Valentine saloon with Charles, Javier, Bill at the start of the game. Start a shootout outside the bar, Charles will help you with any law and disappear after a while while Javier will do the same thing but as soon as you loose the law I believe he'll run back to camp. Bill is nowhere to be seen because he doesn't show up in the mission yet. Works on Console, a glitch not many know about!

Skitterypie3782 Lazy? Rockstar began working on this game shortly after the first one came out. They spent years working extremely long hours creating and programing a huge world with incredible levels of detail that has never been seen in a video game before, plus they wrote a 50 hour story with thousand lines of dialogue. So calling them "lazy" couldn't be further from the truth.

. For example, Arthur did not partake though he hears about Dutch killing Heidi McCourt which makes him question who Dutch really is. The game is supposed to show you the slow yet inevitable downfall of Dutches sanity not portray him as a maniac in the opening of the game. Like I said, it’s not laziness, it’s called good writing.

I'd imagine that's what happened. The gang almost decimated an entire bloodline, whacked a made guy in Saint Denis, fought in a revolution and won, killed an oil and railway magnate and killed hundreds of lawmen, bounty hunters and hired mercenaries in just a few months. I doubt the Van der Linde gang in its entirety were in a hurry in Blackwater. They just had too much fun.

I think this glitch is only available during chapter 4 when he already died unfortunately, so you can’t do it with him.
Well you can do any chapters except chapter 1, 5, and the epilogue but chapter 4 is probably the quickest by how near a hostile enemy nearby

Don’t you think Rockstar was going to make us roam with the gang because they say some pretty interesting things such as “if that bandanna means a robbery please fill me in.” So Rockstar was going to make us roam and just cut that out, OR it was just there for a reason like a mission. Not sure.
All those lines are indicative of being able to free roam with your gang members and that they cut it out of the final product.

I agree with the first part, Jack finds and teams up with old Charles and create another line of the story, but the other part?, Idk I was already pissed off everytime I remember that I know how the end should go 8 years ago
Theres a third possibilities which is we play as Mac Callender. We know he died in the massacre so R* can make a story about his redemption. The game will end on the Blackwater Massacre. Plus R* can create some interesting story for him because he is rarely mentioned in the game and there arent even a picture of him which is really weird. A lot of character still yet to make an appearance like Jenny, Mac, Heidi Mccourt and others.
Looks like they went back for thier money after all.
Dutch or Micah did go back for the money behind our backs. Those $42 000 in the chest at Beaver Hollow must have been from Blackwater. At the end of the epilogue Micah even says "I got the Blackwater money" so it's confirmed.
Imagine how different this game would've been if Micah didn't exist
Gosh I love seeing the whole gang together and doing fine. Almost feels like family now. It was so nice being part of this criminal community. I certainly did my part. it was heartbreaking to see the gang dismantle eventually.
Holy shit the mounted horseback gunfighting was absolutely awesome. So damn epic.

Dutch; My boy, we're heading back to Blackwater to get our stuff.

They'd ride from beaver hollow, with a few interactions including; Why Dutch, you ready Charles? (in this timeline he is still here), and What do you think about Dutch, Javier?
The gang would ride through Valentine, screaming and firing their weapons.
Once they arrive at Blackwaters old camp, they'd gather their money and belongings.
They'd go outside a small cave, (where they last had their old stuff)
Dutch would be almost killed by a bullet, as pinkertons attacked.
The gang would be forced to flee back to the town of blackwater, as they went inside the capital, taking the mayor hostage.
They'd end up killing him, as pinkertons and police set dynamite around the capital, as it'd blow up.
It'd turn into a massive shootout, as Micah wouldn't be seen.
Arthur escapes the fight, with John (as he survived)
He'd face Micah and Dutch in a quickdraw, killing Micah, but not attacking dutch

Why would he "face Micah and Dutch in a quick draw" what the hell is the logic in that? They get separated and then all of a sudden when they meet again they just want to kill eachother? That ending part really sucked ass.
@@impe04 yeah, i agree. Here is a better ending. Micah got buried partly in the rubble from the dynamite and was left behind while the gang wheeled Dutch out of harm's way and back to camp. With the law chasing Dutch and the gang, Micah would be completely forgotten by all sides and left to try to pry himself loose. The rest of the gang, now having enough money to leave the country and the pinkertons hot on their heels, had to hatch a plan to escape for good. Lo and behold, they stumble across Josiah Trelawny. After a quick rundown of recent events, Trelawny told the gang of a steamboat captain he met in St. Denis. He could get them out of the US discreetly for a hefty price. Luckily, Arthur had been saving his money and, with some help from gang funds, he booked a one way trip to Tahiti for himself and the remainder of the gang. The voyage was very hard on Arthur, between the battle for Blackwater and his progressing sickness, he nearly died before they even got there. But he managed to survive through sheer strength of will. When they landed in Tahiti, Dutch immediately paid for the best doctors he could find to assist with Arthur's recovery. Being in a better climate with a healthier lifestyle, Arthur eventually made a full recovery. He even ended up taking a wife, and living out the rest of his days as a wealthy land owner, eating mangos in the tropical paradise of Tahiti. Back in Blackwater just after the attack, Micah was unable to free himself from the rubble he was under. He would remain pinned to the ground with only his legs and one arm exposed, hardly able to breathe through the broken ribs and tight space, while raccoons and stray dogs gnawed at the limbs not covered by a truckload of rubble. He would remain in this torment for nearly a full day after the attack before some of the lawmen came back and heard him whimpering under the blasted out wall while doing an assessment of the damages. They freed Micah and send him to a doctor. The doctor did his best, but Micah's legs were too mangled to be of any use, so they were amputated, as well as what was left of his right thumb, index, and middle finger. Rendered effectively useless, Micah would wake up from weeks of bed rest as a double amputee with only a hand and a half, and after reviewing his criminal record and current state of wellbeing, the Sheriff determined it to be a fitting punishment for Micah's crimes to be forever exiled from all known cities and towns in the US by branding him on the face with a hot iron. Cursed to be a bottom feeder on the roadside, begging for scraps at any passerby on the trail, Micah tried finding Dutch and the gang. Being that they were in Tahiti, they never recieved word from him, or even knew he was still alive for that matter. He continued to live this hellish existence of begging for food and dragging himself northeast to look for Dutch for months, until one day while crawling along a rocky and steep mountain trail, he slipped and tumbled down for about 50 yards, right into the territory of a mother Grizzly tending to a wounded cub. He saw that he was on a path to land right in front of the bear and her cub and tried to stop himself, but having only one functioning hand made that an impossible task. The fear in his eyes was palpable as he shrieked in horror while he fell over the edge. Almost as soon as he landed, the bear rushed him. She pinned him to the ground, biting into his face. Hard. After some thrashing, she bit Micah's nose completely off. She pulled one paw off of Micah, and he seized the opportunity to roll onto his stomach in an attempt to protect himself from the animal's brutal onslaught. He screamed for nearly 15 minutes while the vicious mother bear bit and tore at his emaciated body. She ripped large chunks of flesh from his back and shoulders. Cleet thought about what they should do for a moment, but before he could propose an idea, Joe had already found Micah's skull and ripped out his gold teeth to sell at a fence. @@impe04 hey thanks man, ive tried to write a few short stories but they never took off. I usually look to games for writing material and rdr2 is perfect for that.

Honestly, when I was playing the game I thought the last mission would be going back to Blackwater for retriving their money.
Cause they even talk about retriving the money in the game.
And also the Map wasn't unlocked yet. That's also one of the reason I thought that this would be the last mission.
And if you notice in the Gameplay Trailer(1st one) of RDR2 you notice Dutch and the gang members running away from Blackwater trying to evade the law. This is the biggest reason I thought that the last mission was going to be returning to Blackwater for the money.
But instead we rob a Goddamn Train and Blackwater gets unlocked after the completion of the story which was a letdown for me.

Once this releases for PC we need to mod it so we can do this whenever we want, and hopefully we can add in little details like letting them fish and hunt with us, play poker, etc.
You might be able to do stuff like this without mods on PC, they said they'd be adding new gameplay mechanics. I just hope they let you have at least a few followers in free roam.
masteroutlaw100 lol why not the whole gang or at least 6 or 7 members so you really feel you're part of an outlaw gang when free-roaming and you have backup against hostile gangs and those creepy-ass and crazy NPCs
