Anyone else’s serotonin increase every time he says nobby? 😂 just me? Ok.
❤❤
4 minutes into the video, and I got a great idea. I have garnet pieces from a year ago, and there's 1 beautiful gem that I've wanted to get out but couldn't. I've tried a few things, but never thought to use a dremel. I'm definitely going to order one and see if that will work
Update: I have a Dremel, works great!!!
Justin, you are in many ways like Bob Ross. I liked watching him, and I like watching you. Both artists, just in a different medium. You rock. G'day mate.
Thank you a nice compliment that man was an art god
I never tire of watching you bring out those gorgeous opals.
Thank you! Cheers! Bobbi
Me too!
I disagree .... I fall asleep every night to one of he’s videos 😊
@@daleson4213 Does have some asmr quality ey.
He's a great cutter and a great personality.
It never ceases to amaze me how Justin can liberate beautiful gems out of what appears to my untrained eye as a lump of rock. Endlessly fascinating!
Kind words Tony
Others say “ He’s Just in Time “- We believe He’s Spot-On
@@blackopaldirect you just be happy to take a screenshot of the opals! And then you make them into photographs and you just look at photos
Justin, you ROCK!!
Every time you rub a stone that won’t make a decent gem, I always think about what could be made from it. One idea that keeps popping into my head is making them into ball shapes that look like planets or scene stones. With all the colors there, including the sand, they would make beautiful stones for earthy looking jewelry.
I think you should use the odd shaped knobbie that won't make a good gem but it would make a nice natural pendant
Would really like to see the opals you cut mounted in jewelry and what the price ended up being of the complete jewelry....
The knobbies were magical. So pretty.
How very interesting. Opals are the best. Appreciate your goofball humor, the world needs more in these times.
Thanks for your great content.
Glad you enjoyed it Tyme Thank you
I have to say that your videography is absolutely fantastic. Keep up the good work you guys.
Thank you I appreciate the feedback Anna
I completely forget about COVID or any other problem for that matter, when I watch opals emerge 😌
It just goes to show you can never judge how good an opal is in the rough. Loved every minute of you peeling the sandstone away from the nobbles.
Amazing outcome Justin! I have never seen you dig out nobies out of such a big piece of dirt!
I think the big sand spotted one is lovely. I like the cloudy effect of the sand against the colors of the opal.
@patches Cook agreed.
Came for the opal. Stayed for the impersonations 😂
This Lil Peep beat on the intro, wonderful!

Dont listen to em justin you've been doing this your whole life. You are definetly the expert so I could and would never challenge your judgment
That was truly amazing watching those colors come out!absolutely beautiful stones!
That Crystal Opal is spectacular! I purchased the Crystal Opal that you cut in your ASMR video the other week, literally can’t wait for it to come, I’m not sure wether to have it set in a ring or pendant, choices choices! Fab work Justin!
Yay I just saw that in the shipping pile. Thank you and let me know when you get it :-)
Black Opal Direct will do! ☺️
i love how deep the blues were in those knobbies
After all the years of me being a rock hound and finding my first geod filled with what looked like chocolate chips in a big white rock which turned out to be dark garnet, my first amethyst and tourmaline being found in california, to me working with gems in my later years it never stops to amaze me of the colors mother earth and natural science gives us to find like a scavenger hunt. Hit or miss its all still a miracle. I still say you should bust up the ones you cant use as full stones for inlay or to put in little vile pendants or hour glass. Ohhh that would look nice, an opal hour glass.
Omg can you imagine an opal hour glass. That would be absolutely stunning and something I'd definitely buy!!
@@MrsOx-jz9fg especially some of the opal Justin buys. Even if he can't make a stone the colors are usually still nice
@@1COMIXMAN very much so!!!
I want to see an opal hour glass too.
He needs to do the opal dust sand timers...100%
Not bad little gems its cool seeing them in the sandstone
This brings back memories! When I was in high school, my father brought me some opal rough from Honduras. It was mostly potch, but I spent hours digging out the little knobbies from the matrix, mostly using a dremel! This video makes me wish I still had access to lapidary equipment.
Oh what a beautiful crystal opal! How fun it's been to watch you take a large rock with all the knobblies in it and just look at the treasures you uncover. You are so blessed to be able to have such a great life. Thank you for sharing it with us! That first little crystal with the circular patterns in it would fascinate me forever...it so speaks to me.
Beautiful work, and very informative! Love watching/hearing you explain the thought process you go through making decisions.
Glad you enjoyed it!
This is definitely my favorite cannel on UA-cam! I could watch for days without getting bored. Thanks a lot 🙏

Thanks for posting your work Justin. I am fascinated every time.
This is so meditative! I appreciate your art and LOVE opals!
Truly stunning, I would never have expected something as nice from the rough stone.
As always, absolutely loved your video. I'll never cut opal, but I love to watch your work, and you are such a good teacher. (and funny and adorable, as well!!!!)
Man I'll tell you what. I never get tired of watching you. you're so phenomenally good at what you do. Keep up the great work.
Thank you Anthony 🙏❤️

Love watching Justin work his magic. Awesome video today!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
@@blackopaldirect I can’t get enough of watching...I am totally hooked. I used to hunt opals here in Canada when I was a young man . Nothing like Australian opal though..... wow!! Incredible stones
Doing diverse stuff like this is why your channel will continue to grow! Excellent video!
I appreciate that! pickles
I really love the first stone! Even though I usually like the darker ones better, this one was very unique and pretty! Love your work - greetings from Germany!
Justin, thanks for your videos. I discovered your channel a few weeks ago and I'm totally hooked. I feel like I've learnt a lot about opals in this short space of time and I hope you keep the brilliant video's coming!
Welcome aboard! and dont forget to subscribe ❤️🙏
My favorite gemstone! (Right next to fire agate and ammolite.) It's awesome to see the artistry that goes into cutting these gems. It seems like such a peaceful profession.
Didn't know anything about opals before except they existed. Could take it or leave it, but after watching your channel I have acquired a affinity for these stones, they are quite beautiful.
Those two crystals are more or less exactly the kind of opal I hope to buy once I have the money! Fascinating to see a clump like that dissected, thanks for humouring us all and using the dremel ;D
I found this very relaxing - love the background music
That music comes from a Lil peep song but I cant remember which one

Love seeing them through to the end. Thanks Justin
Watching you gives me more of an idea of "how to" but having only been exposed to polishing other stones, I was afraid to get into opal, because if you ground too deep, could loose the color and I didn't want to go there because of the lack of experience I had. I enjoyed watching you.
I would call that unique pattern tie-dye pattern. It looked like a tie-dyed tshirt to me.
-awesome watch Justin
