How I Got a 95% on the Head to Toe Assessment ● Nurse Practitioner School

- Here is how I was able to successfully pass my head to toe assessment. Passing the head to toe was mandatory before starting AHAD in the first semester. A pass is 70% and up so the pressure was on. I don't talk about a complete head to toe assessment but the general principles of it as an NP student. I also provide some tips that helped me a lot in preparing for this exam.

WHO AM I
I'm Tania, a nurse practitioner student living and going to school in Ontario Canada. I've been a registered nurse for 7 years. I made this channel because I found that there was a lack of content relating to Canadian NP students on UA-cam so I decided to create this channel not only to document my journey through school but also to provide some helpful information to aspiring NP students 😊
So proud of you. Thank you so much for this informative video. I'm in Toronto too. New sub. Prepping for my RN head to toe and this helped a lot. All the best🙏🏾🥰
Aww I'm glad to hear that! Good luck to you 😊🩺
soooo helpful-great tips about the H-T examination, thanks for sharing!
Thank you for watching. Glad it helped 😊
Great video Thank You !
Hi Tania, thank you for sharing your video; it's informative. What videos, websites, or links do you use to visualize body landmarks?
I'm not sure why this channel was recommended, but I hope you're successful. Congrats on your test! Here's to your first 100 subs 🥂
😅 the magic of UA-cam. I'm assuming you are not a nurse or nursing student but thank you for your kind words 😊
@@npstudentchronicles3652 Haha I'm not, but I find the field fascinating. Best of luck to you 😊
@@FranciscoVidales It is quite fascinating. Thank you 😊
Tania how to divide the abdomen into regions or quads sections or no?
Tania can u give me lecture on the abdominal regions/ sections or quadrants or no?
Tania how do u divide your abdomen into different sections?
Tania can u pls give me online lectures on nursing on the abdomen or no?
Great video, could you tell me what books did you used for the evaluation? I am trying to prepare myself for the program. Thank you!
I used Bates assessment book and a lot of UA-cam videos lol. Physical assessment is visual so I needed to see how it was done :)
Tania can u teach me how to divide your abdomen into different sections or parts its parts of my assignment or home work or i will be in trouble !!!
I would love to see the script that you wrote out!
Haha I was thinking of making it public but it's rough version 😅. I'll probably clean it up soon. School is just consuming my life atm 🥲
Meant to reply here about the script lol 😂
Do you have the script available?
Tania how to divide your abdomen into different sections?
Is there an Advanced Health Assessment kit thay you could purchase on Amazon that includes the opthalmoscope, tuning fork etc?
Hi! Good question🤔 I never looked into it cuz supplies were always supplied by school and in practice the clinics would have it. When I was practicing/studying, I would pretend to use the tuning fork😅. It actually helped cuz I would talk through what I was doing. Hope that helps ☺️
Hello, thank you for the tips. Are you able to share your word document?
Maybe do a HTT video 😊
Be sure to ask Tate and palate directly to the skin not through clothing. I have a friend that was failed because she didn’t do that. Not just this she failed the whole class.
Please can you make a video of job opportunities available for phcnp grads in Canada?
Yes! I will definitely make a video of that. Right now I'm in my second (and final) year of the NP program so I'll do it closer to when I start applying to jobs (once I graduate lol) to get a true sense of how it is to apply for NP jobs 😊
Would you have time to prepare your head to toe notes. I see we both have the same visual learning style.
I can look back at my notes. It's been awhile 😅
which stethoscope do you have?
I have the same stethoscope they gave me on my first day of nursing school 11 years ago 😅...Littman Classic II SE. Still holding strong ✊🏻
I know it’s a year later but did you ever create the script
Tania i love you
Tania, u r so beautiful!!!
