They are incredible indeed Michael. Great composers, great players, great team, obviously amazing personalities. They are the only band that makes me Happy
To smoothly blend the sound of utter despair and fear with the sound of hope and strength in one song is astounding. You have a way to bring life to these sings with your comments.
I probably know a word you were looking for, when trying to describe the Japanese people and culture. They have a lot of CLASS. They exude respect for the other, they make sure not to step your toes, they celebrate liberty among tradition (not one over the other, as in our Western culture wars). And whatever they do - work, party, create - they are not content with half-measures. :) That's why the music scene in Japan was "doomed" to prosper. The people do not go into it for money, they just try to top themselves every time out, and with musicians of this caliber - it shows! And another thing that floors me - their deep-rooted optimism, probably based in their philosophy... This is a song about death. It has that, in those air-siren solos and disconcerting passages. But it ends up with a major chorus inducing the crowd chanting, celebrating life. Here's the voice from the past for the future generations. This is the LOVE part of LOVEBITES, and it is strong in them.
In my 32 years of delivering pizzas, the only cars I use are Honda and Toyota, the best engineered and built cars out there, the most important tool for the job. 🗾🚗👍
LOVEBITES - Under The Red Sky lyrics & credits: Rupture of the Heavens Blinding rays piercing through on a killing spree Looming in the distance, come the thundering roars of calamity Eerie bitter silence, from the whirling black smoke and insanity Time has stopped and frozen Held my breath with the death of humanity If somewhere God really exists How would He take our shame and great disgrace? Sin in the sky It was that moment when I saw you smile A suffering I will never forget At the edge of this grey world Holding you tight Searching for a glimpse of hope that we can still believe in SOLO: midori / miyako Pounded by the black rain, while the world is engulfed in a bloody sea Stolen in a moment; everything, everyone lost to history If somewhere God really exists How would He take our shame and great disgrace? Sin in the sky It was that moment when I saw you smile A suffering I will never forget But again I will find you And take your hand Cause I know, together we are stronger than this nightmare Sin in the sky It was that moment when I saw you smile A suffering I will never forget At the edge of this grey world Holding you tight Searching for a glimpse of hope that we can still believe in Sin in the sky It was that moment when I saw you smile A suffering I will never forget But again I will find you And take your hand Cause I know, together we will find a way to overcome SOLO: both / midori ----- lyrics: asami music: Mao arrangement: LOVEBITES (miho, haruna, midori, miyako, asami) & Mao album: Battle Against Damnation EP 06/06/2018 ---

I was stationed in Japan from 78-79 about an hour away from Hiroshima! I went to there weekly! It's very modern now. They have a designated area called Peace Park at Ground Zero where the bomb went off. It's the only place left as is from then as a memorial. It was a surreal feeling being there!
This is just another one of their great songs, Asami's unique vocals can shine a light through the darkest of times, from the songs meaning and even there when playing with strictly controlled crowd, she is still the Stage General. What were your thoughts about the song, you never said much about it? 🤘🎤🎹🎸🥁🐺
I spoke about the how meaningful the lyrics were throughout the song. But it really had me floored with how much they put their hearts into the song and story. Sometimes when a song really resonates I really won't have much to say when it hits me on an emotional level
An observation that I have also made myself. I not only like some of the Japanese bands I listen to for their music, but I also adore them almost as much for the people in them. Best wishes and have a great Christmas. 🙋🏻♂ _____________________ 「 _Look inside the mirror of you. Can you say now is the best of who you are?_ 」- ♬ *Nemophila* - 'RISE' ♬💮
This incorporates a lot of gallop. That Iron Maiden influence is very apparent. Haruna working overtime on this one, but as usual she takes it in stride.
She really did unload in this one. But then again she is always on point. They all did amazing as always. I'm kinda disappointed though. I was going to post my reaction with halestorm and asami in the uk and yt instantly blocked it globally

Between lovebites and band maid I would have to agree. I can just look at them and instantly puts a smile on my face
Epic song! The audience knows the song and knows to sing at the end, that's the audience singing. Love you're reactions
That was great hearing the audience like that. And thank you!
It was during the COVID restriction, they only allowed to clap. Asami said and later gestured, sing by heart.
That performance was before the restriction, there's another one where that's the case not this one
Just as in "The Apocalypse", Midori's use of the slide in this song and the eerie/foreboding sound it produced always gave me goosebumps.
It suited the song very well
@@boyzyu midori always gives me goosebumps

Their entire catalog is fantastic. Not an average track in it.

The guitar work is so cool, the whole song is just a great composition, a classic gem performed to perfection.🤘🐺🤘
💯
One of my favorite track from lovebites, give me goosebump when Midori uses the slide
Great reaction as ush. Digging your new studio 🐺🤘🤘🤘
Thank you and thank you again. It needed some rearrangement

No not yet. I'm trying to go through songs I haven't heard yet

Epic, bombastic. A lot of their songs got me goosebumps every time I watched them play live including this. Massive musicianship and performances. 🤘👍

Miyako’s tribute to Sergei Rachmaninoff ! 🤘

@@Ravage-Mike-ReactsThat Bites (no pun intended). YT is inconsistent. I had a reactor do that one over a year ago. At least you got to see it.
@@Ravage-Mike-Reacts It's a shame. We love to see that video, but it is what it is.
@metalmark1214 same thing happened with all my electric callboy reactions except the one with baby metal
Really love this song. Again, Midori’s use of the slide is thundering.
Love Midori💚💚💚💚💚 Miho💜💜💜💜💜
This is about the nuclear bombs on Japan! Miyako played a Gibson Futura 1959 (someone says one copy, not original)!
I know. And also said it was about the kamikaze pilots as well. Their storytelly is amazing
No, Miyako is not playing her Gibson Futura here, she is playing her Gibson Explorer! 🤘
Midori bringing out the slide! 🤘🔥
