Jill is the violinist from the band Unlucky Morpheus, and in the background in some scenes, that was Mao on the piano. He has composed some songs for Lovebites over the years. Asami also held her Christmas Special 2024 just a couple of weeks ago and that was just as spectacular. This year, Asami's guests were Ayasa, the violinist from East of Eden, and also Miho Terachi, the saxophonist from The Jazz Avengers. I was in the paid streams of both sessions, worth every cent !
Mao... composed “a few songs” for Lovebites? Well, “almost” half of them! first as co-composer with Miho, then with Asami (who'd have thought this frail person could write such tough music...). The other half of the compositions, well, you can guess who it is... still writing alone, apart from two tracks with Mao. And there you have it.
I actually I don’t believe it is as simple as that. Whilst Mao is rightly credited for his contribution, I think his contribution to many of the compositions is in the role of arranger. There was one collaboration between Mao and Miyako (I think) but that’s it. So Miho and Asami, whilst able to compose music (in Asami’s case on piano) need someone with a greater musical knowledge to arrange their compositions. Miyako doesn’t. In that regard I think Asami isn’t regarded as highly as I think she deserves, whilst Mao is perhaps considered more significant than he actually is.
They sing at the holy night event called Christmas. All the players, including the vocalist, violinist, and guitarist, are actually members of Japan's representative heavy metal band.
Asami getting to show off her vocal abilities in a different way here and Jill (Unlucky Morpheus) showing off a fraction what she can do on the violin So many bands from Japan you don't know....yet. Merry Christmas Michael.
I know who she is. I've seen her do the yngwie cover and a couple others. I wasn't sure when I watched this but then when I searched for her I say a handful of videos that I did watch in the past. And Merry Christmas to you too
I was at this year’s show on the 15th. You treasure events like that because it’s a 100 seat venue. Asami bids you a personal farewell, gives a personal memento and receives a sleigh load of gifts herself. I idolise Asami, for every reason imaginable.

Thanks for showing - and appreciating - also the other side of LOVEBITES' members' art and talent! Also for being so eloquent and articulate about the feelings you capture and care to express. Some of those things, would not have said better myself! Merry Christmas to you, man, truly! Greets from Lithuania. 🎄✨🤘
The emotions that all of them are pouring into this performance is incredible! Merry Christmas to all of you out there! 🎄🙏✨ _____________________ ⟬ _"America invented rock. England improved it. Nice Reaction, Michael. Lots of Jill fans here (including moi). A Jill recording I'll bet you _haven't seen_ is with Quadratum (Members of Unlucky Morpheus, except for Fuki (vocals) and Shiren (guitar/growls) - the band's founders) Ogawa the bassist jokingly calls their CD of covers the 'JIll show-off project'. This link is to a LIVE performance of Quadratum, where Jill performs Eddie Van Halen's _Eruption_ solo . . and then the full group perform sDream Theater's The Dance of Eternity (with Jill playing Jordan Rudess' keyboard parts on the violin). ua-cam.com/video/XC2A1hbuLmI/v-deo.html
Been watching your Lovebites reactions. I love how much you recognize the talent. If you have not seen it yet, do "Break the Wall" live from Zepp Diver City and "Hammer of Wrath". It will metal blow your mind.

Very nice performance, and the man on piano is Mao, who has co-written a few LOVEBITES songs. Merry Christmas everyone! 🎄
