- Now that the 2020 presidential election is over and Joe Biden has pretty much been declared the winner, a lot of people are speculating about where Donald Trump will go after his term ends.
While a lot of his critics are hoping the answer is in prison, there does seem to be a consensus that Trump will not be returning to his old home in New York City. Instead, it seems that he wants to relocate to his Palm Beach, Florida estate Mar-a-Lago.
That being said, there’s a big hindrance standing in his way if he wants to go there, so let’s take a look at the reason Trump can’t live at Mar-a-Lago after leaving office.

I knew that Mar-A-Lago was not a considered a residential pro and was wondering how Trump was going to get around that and a 6 month 1 day requirement to be considered a Florida resident. Here’s hoping that the banks and NYS governments put a lien on all of his properties and does a fire sale.

Federal prison has a long term residency agreement with the state. He wouldn't have to fight the state to change anything.
Simple solution. Change Mar-A-Lago Club back into an estate. Previous agreement nullified.

He is only allowed to stay there her no more than 7 consecutive days in a row. Or he has to restore it back to an individual residence. So long as it is a country club he can't use it as a residence. So the city of Palm Beach absolutely can evict him. They couldn't do it while he was president but they can when he becomes private citizen Trump. The question is, if he’s as rich as he always claims to be (he said he was worth $14 billion, Forbes has him at $3 billion), paying $420 million on debts should be “peanuts” for him. Maybe it’s because a lot of that money is tied up in assets, but then he should be able to sell some of them.

A bigger problem is that banks often package these debts in bonds and sell them to other investors (which I think was part of the reason for the worldwide financial crash of 2008/2009), so he doesn’t owe them so much as he does those investors, and they might not be so lenient with him. I don’t know if they can confiscate his assets if he doesn’t pay up, that’s something that I might have to google.
He’s already scammed $170 million from his followers for his phony election fraud campaign (the fine print on the emails actually say any donations under $8000 won’t go towards the election fraud “case”, but people are still stupid enough to give him money), so if he can keep the election fraud scam going long enough he’ll make enough money to pay off a lot of his debt.
