I don't understand this premise. Throughout the whole film the protagonist is mean and condesending towards the girl, even during their last interaction, yet suddenly he starts reflecting on the memories he made with the girl that he so much expressed to hate on. The friendship between the itself isn't even really resonating because they are friendly to each other only during the first 10 minutes of the film. Very strange screenwriting, I adore Ceylan's work but what the hell was this.
The man was mean to the girl because he was admiring her throughout the whole story. He never thought about other people's life or stuff like that. She got what she wanted. She expresssed her pure feelings no matter what. But he was tired everytime even to express his feelings because he never thinks world needs to know about him or his feeling or his work for other people. This was the biggest point here. She is young, she gets what she wants. But the man was the weakest here. Of course there are other stuff too but this was a general thing behaind the whole story.
Because he tried to find some meaning or love in a person through her but he couldn't and he realize this in the end but still he doesn't think it was in vain but maybe it meant something. He has hope. Or I think he does.
0:44 here if it didn't said Sevim then it would have felt like he is talking about Nuray then it could have revealed it's about Sevim then it would have been like a twist or more shocking!!
I watch this almost every day. it’s very convenient for me to watch this amazing ending on youtube but l’m afraid it’s “not fair” to the director! You simply uploaded the “ending” of his film here without his permission.
This is for those who have already enjoyed this wonderful film. it runs for more than three hours and I think this is for those who want to remember the feeling of the ending of the film and re-watch it.
Bunun için Sevim'i seviyor. Samet'i Sevim'e yaklaştıran şey cinsellik değil. Sevim'in sahip olduğu yaşam tutkusu.
watching this movie is like giving yourself a treat, amazing movie
The beauty and depth of this story telling 💙
