I have a medium-warm olive skin tone as well & your selections are great!!👍There are both cool & warm olive skin tones & there’s even a bit of a spectrum within that range so being olive can be quite a challenge!! Two of my favorite bronzers are the Hourglass Radiant Bronze Light, & the Laura Mercier Matte Radiance Baked Powder in 04. Another good one is the ByTerry Brightening CC Powder in Sunnyflash....this one has a bit more of a red undertone (NOT pink) so it provides that slightly sunburnt look.☀️ 😊
My favorite bronzer I have found for my super olive skin is one by the in-house brand of Bluemercury called Lune+Aster. They no longer carry it on the Bluemercury website but they still have it directly on the Lune+Aster webpage. It’s their Baked Bronzer in the color Necker Island. BEST overall bronzer I have ever tried. They also have a darker shade called Kona and both work incredible for olive skin. Highly recommend!!!
The urban decay beached bronzer in bronzed is the best for olive warm light skin I think 😉 but the hoola is the worst one, because it's so red and orange
@@OliveEmbrace Thank you miss Olive for taking the time to make these very important videos, I know I'm, along with many olive skinned tone people have found it to be really helpful, thank you million times, truly grateful
I struggle with this. because I am light medium neutral to olive so I have both cool and warm and I constantly get told I have olive or I don’t lol. I am half Italian/Irish it’s frustrating to match foundation/makeup lol
Yah I get the same. Most mistake me as yellow and I think I am around the same spectrum. it’s been so hard to find foundation - and most of my makeup I would say are super close but not exact. It just blends pretty well. I found it helpful when I tell the makeup consultants straight up that I’m olive and most would look into brands that cater to olive skin. Some might not know what that means and assume olive is dark skin… maybe that’s why you get told you aren’t olive sometimes.
For years I struggled to find the right shade for my foundation, and it wasn’t until my 40th birthday when I got a MAC makeover with my mother that I found a perfect shade match for my light/olive skin. I am too light for a lot of shades (including Milani) and those that I tried always had either too pink or too blue and made me look washed out. I have been looking to update my bronzer because the Bare Minerals Warmth I have been using is just too dark for me to wear. I am constantly having to buff buff buff because a tiny bit of that goes a long way, a little too heavy handed and it ruins my whole look. And the Butter Bronzer from physicians formula is too red, it looks awful on me. I was thinking about trying Nars, I feel Laguna would be too dark but the Vallarta might work for me.
Hey hey thanks so much! I haven’t tried maybelline but I read from reddit threads the shade 220 works well for olive skin tones :) I might give it a try!
Maya Osman awe I haven’t actually tried the powder to be honest:/ is there a way you could order online Maybe? If I get a chance I’ll check the powder out to see
