This is the most informative video I have ever seen on brushes. Ladies usually tell which ones they like and the application process, but never the difference between synthetic or natural hair! Thank you for educating me! Also, the education on bronzers is awesome! Do a video like this on blush, eyeshadow, all of them!
♥ HI BEAUTIES ♥ here are a few tips and insights from color theory and mood artistry that you can use to create the perfect look for your visual presence. The right bronzing powder can help to reflect your mood and highlight your best features, making you feel confident and beautiful in your own skin. ♥ First, consider the atmosphere you want to create with your look. If you're going for a warm, summery vibe, you may want to choose a bronzer with a golden or orange undertone. For a more dramatic look, a deep brown or reddish-bronze shade may be the way to go. ♥♥ Next, think about your skin tone and how it will interact with the bronzing powder. If you have fair skin, a lighter shade with a subtle shimmer can create a natural-looking glow. For medium or olive-toned skin, a warmer shade with a matte finish can add depth and dimension to your complexion. And if you have a darker skin tone, a rich, highly pigmented bronzer can create a beautiful contrast against your skin. ♥♥♥ Finally, focus on applying the bronzing powder to highlight your best features. Use a large, fluffy brush to apply the powder to the areas where the sun naturally hits your face, such as the cheekbones, forehead, and nose. Blend well to create a seamless, natural-looking finish. With these tips from color theory and artistry, you can shop for bronzing powder with confidence and create a visual presence that reflects your mood and highlights your best features. ♥ ♥ XOXO, Alexandra.♥
This is the consumerism goal I want to achieve. I'm really new to the make up world and two months ago I bought quite a few products. I tried to choose wisely and really put thoughts into every bit. Now I understand that in my shopping spree there were more misses than hits. And it would be so much better to do it slower, playing with every product as much as I need to move one to the next one. This approach of enjoying every bit of your purchase and buying only products that your complexion can really benefit from (this fact blew me away for some reason lol), is so good. I really needed this thought to be put into words by someone else to fully understand it! Thank you so much ❤️
I love lip & cheek tint..it makes me look and feel so fresh!! And you look insanely gorgeous and I'm looking forward to more Makeup Engineer episodes😄🙌
This was amazing!!! I'd love to learn more about red lipsticks, especially for olive skinned gals! I always feel like they require so much "engineering" because there are so many reds out there and it's hard to find one that doesn't look awkward. Thank you for this video!
I love these videos because it helps me to be more intentional with the products and clothes I'm buying instead of just buying into marketing. Please do more of these!
Im defo going to try this blush for a bronzer. I struggle to find anything that doesn’t go orange on me!! Only occurred to me the other month that I’ve got a olive tone 😅 Thank you so much!! Please keep this types of videos coming
OMG! I loved this Alexandra! I love EYESHADOWS. Thats my favorite makeup item. I loved this videooo! (as I also love bronzers) MORE OF THIS SERIES PLEASE (hearts)
I would like more videos like this. I'm a very very fair cool olive under toned lady and its so hard for me to find shades of everything that look good on me. I always say I have a seafoam undertone. So i love these color theory videos. They are so helpful
I also have very pale skin but cool yellow undertones. It’s impossible to try to find a foundation and bronzer that suits my skin tone ugh the struggle is real
Oh boy!! I have always hated bronzer because I could never get the color right. I hated the way i looked wearing it. You're tips and tricks make so much sense. Soon as I saw this video, I went to look for a new bronzer using your advice with your explanation of color theory. Thank you so much. You have helped me find a beautiful bronzer that suits my skin tone. I am in love with it! I can't wait to see more of your videos! 😊
It took me until this year to not be afraid of a purple toned bronzer for my olive undertone complexion. Dallas by Benefit is one I like. I wish someone would do a video on purple toned bronzers.
This video came as an answer to my prayers. Actually a miracle how this video is so spot on to what I need. I have been looking for a bronzer I’d love for AGES, literal years, and never liked one. They all looked too orange/unnatural/etc. I just got back from target and tried on one from makeup revolution that looked promising and turned orange on me😭 I just opened UA-cam and see THIS gem?!! Soooo happy 🫶
@@AlexandrasGirlyTalk Thank you angel 😭!! I’ve been a subscriber for so long (since middle school lol!) and love your you and your content so so much (especially your color theory ones!) they help me understand so much ❤️
Love this lesson on bronzer shopping!! My skin tone is close to yours; I think I'll try MAC Harmony blush. I'm really struggling with eyebrows. I've used GimmeBrow by Benefit but I need more than just that.
I second the brow struggle. My brow hair are pitch black but black brow product would obviously look ridiculous. I've been thinking of bleaching/lifting my eyebrows, but that just seems like a disaster in the making💀
What foundation are you wearing in this video? It looks like it might be a good match for me. I'd love for you to make a video on olive foundations or a video on makeup for olive skin (it can be so challenging to figure out)
I love how intelligent you are and I love how you walk us through your thought process, it makes it fun for us to follow as well as gain new knowledge if we already don’t know
I've really been enjoying your content. I missed you for a while. I really appreciate your unique approach. Your content is informative, raw, classy, fun, and even spiritual. Thank you so much for sharing yourself with us.
Love the short vids but i'm really missing the long ones :( i know they take much more time to create but i NEED another womanly video😩❤️ they're just too good. love your work alexandra!!!
Just have to say thanks much for your brilliant idea. Most bronzers are way too orange for me, and the cooler tones are often too grey. Never in a million years would I have thought to use a blush as contour/bronzer, but this MAC color really works for me! Thanks again.
This is my first time watching one of your videos and I really enjoyed it. I love how you really got excited and found a product that worked for you instead of what’s trending. I’ve been a little obsessed with finding a bronzer that doesn’t look orange on me and I am KICKING myself because I used to have harmony and gave it away because I didn’t like it as a blush. 😭 HOWEVER…thebalm balm desert! It’s that same almost purple looking brown but has a beautiful sheen to it. Now I think I want to repurchase harmony though as a matte alternative. If you’re ever in the market for a bronzer with a sheen I bet you would love it! Thanks!
Woow this is different, I hope you would explain the other undertone skin colors to (because I have no Ideas about color science) ! Thank you for sharing. My favorite make up item is lipgloss but besides that it’s consealer
This Video can change your life... legit wow... no one ever explained this so deeply... understanding the undertone of your skin and choosing makeup products according to that is like the real game... its like doctorate in makeup. 🙌
This is sooo helpful , thank you love 🥰✨. I have light medium olive undertones and sometimes bronzer is a headache for me . Appreciate this insight on color theory!!
i wanna learn how to do my eyes like yours! its so pretty yet so natural looking. whenever I try to do it, it looks like I try to hard. Also my favourite bronzer is revlon Skin Lights! It works exactly as youve described. Not shimmer, not matte. but it disappears when hit by the light.
Loved the video! I learned a lot . I’m in the process of buying new more inspiring makeup and changing my routine to look more polished . I have a similar skin tone to yours and in the look out for a new bronzer , perfect timing . The product I like the most is concealer, it is also the most challenging to me.
Thank you for this. I am a pâle skined person who went to a tanning bed for over 3 months and looked like a carrot after. Tha being said. This helped me with color choice or even la ck there of so much color being à better idea. This video is amazing ❤❤
I love this video, actually all of your videos because you critically think and make me critically think. I was thinking of getting a new bronzer and most of the time I let the beauty influencers convince me of what to get and most of the time I’m disappointed because the product doesn’t look as nice. I have lot of bronzers, most I should throw away because they’re old, but I have one that I’m going to test again thanks to this video. How can I know, for sure, what undertones I have? I think you have a video about this, I’ll look for it. Thanks again!!❤
I get you 💯 I have also an pale olive undertone like you and orange bronzer never looked good over Foundation, only by itself on natural day Make-up or in combination with other bronzers for a night out. So funny you bought Harmony!!! I used it years ago and I loved the look! But after time I always want to change my everyday look so I keep on playing with bronzers 🤪🤪🤪 I still have Harmony so I have to grab it and put it on right now hahaha but if I like it I would have to buy a new one mine is just too old ❤ love love love seeing you thinking the same way about colors, Makeup and also good looking packaging as it plays also for me a role how it looks in my makeup bag 😂 so get you 💯 and I am sooo happy finally hearing someone who thinks like me 💖
Hey @AlexandraGirlyTalk! Just wanted to let you know you put the link of the lipstick again under the link to your blush! I don´t want you to miss out on commissions as I know you put such a big effort to post high quality videos. It doesn't go unnoticed =) I love them!
i love using my blush as everything, like cheeks + lip tint + eyes! however i have a really hard time finding my shade even after going thru a lot of colour theory. i have both green and blue veins, which seems to mean neutral tone. they say that neutral means you can wear any shade, but it just seems like everything looks "off" on me!
I am a color analyst. If you are neutral it is best to choose a color that is neither to warm or to cool. So in the middle. Peachy rose is more on the neutral side (neutral warm), so is rosy beige( neutral cool). Stay away from orangy and cool pink tones
I love that you saw that and asked 😅❤️ it’s so good, I put a lot of butter in the pan and fry it until I like how toasted it is (flip once to toast the other side too)
Hiiiii Miss Alexandra! My favorite face product is Essence Pure Nude highlighter. We have almost the same coloring (dark hair, brown eyes, berries+cream, Italian/olive undertones), and it’s the only highlighter I own! My shade is Be My Highlight, and I absolutely love it. My favorite mascara is a combo of Wet n’ Wild Mega Length, with Maybelline Lash Stiletto as the second coat. It’s just perfect, although I’ll use Lash Stiletto by itself, too. I love the idea of celebrating buying a new makeup product instead of for example a huge haul of products that aren't chosen wisely ♥️
YESSS🙌🙌
Absolutely!
Exactly what I thought! :)

I want to enroll for THIS engineering course😍
Please more videos on olive skin makeup and clothes !
This was so interesting! Would love to see a comparison between the products you use on a minimal makeup day vs full glam ❤
Such a good idea! Thank you 💗🎀
I like to use slightly darker powder as my bronzer
This was amazing!!!
I'd love to learn more about red lipsticks, especially for olive skinned gals! I always feel like they require so much "engineering" because there are so many reds out there and it's hard to find one that doesn't look awkward. Thank you for this video!
This is the kind of video that is actually useful! I love that you don’t do the same repetitive beauty as other UA-camrs.
I love these videos because it helps me to be more intentional with the products and clothes I'm buying instead of just buying into marketing. Please do more of these!
Love this take on selecting makeup. Lipstick is my ❤!!
I like how you said a purple-y bronzer would compliment cool olive skin! I didn’t know that!
Im defo going to try this blush for a bronzer. I struggle to find anything that doesn’t go orange on me!! Only occurred to me the other month that I’ve got a olive tone 😅

I love this concept please make more content like this!!!!!!
Also you have such a comforting voice ❤❤❤
My favorite makeup item is probably foundation. Gotta cover all the imperfections on my face so might as well slap a layer of foundation on
Do you like skincare too? Liquid exfoliants for example? 😊 thanks for watching 💗

I love your bone structure and lips specifically compliment it so much hun! i will never know how you're not a super model
I would love if you could do color recommendations for different skin tones
It took me until this year to not be afraid of a purple toned bronzer for my olive undertone complexion. Dallas by Benefit is one I like. I wish someone would do a video on purple toned bronzers.

You should do more tests like the paper test, gold vs silver jewelery etc. Then you can see which you are more dominant on or if you are Truly neutral
I am a color analyst. If you are neutral it is best to choose a color that is neither to warm or to cool. So in the middle. Peachy rose is more on the neutral side (neutral warm), so is rosy beige( neutral cool). Stay away from orangy and cool pink tones

This is such a enlightening video!
off topic but how did you cook the toast like that??!! it looks so good.
I love that you saw that and asked 😅❤️ it’s so good, I put a lot of butter in the pan and fry it until I like how toasted it is (flip once to toast the other side too)
Hey Alexandra, where do you buy your makeup sponges?😊
Is there a drugstore equivalent to Mac's Harmony?
I never use bronzer so I’m really curious about this video!
This was so fun and different. ❤
I need to figure out the tones in my face
Hiiiii Miss Alexandra! My favorite face product is Essence Pure Nude highlighter. We have almost the same coloring (dark hair, brown eyes, berries+cream, Italian/olive undertones), and it’s the only highlighter I own! My shade is Be My Highlight, and I absolutely love it.
My favorite mascara is a combo of Wet n’ Wild Mega Length, with Maybelline Lash Stiletto as the second coat. It’s just perfect, although I’ll use Lash Stiletto by itself, too.
NYX Butter Gloss rocks my world! I have it in 7 or 8 shades!

❤️♥️❤️♥️❤️
Thank you so much for sharing ❤😍 makes me want to try these too!
2:02 why is it not safe to use a powder product?
What foundation is this and shade? With the puff?
