Hi Maren and Max, my husband and I just came back from the Le Bora Bora by Pearl and your review of the place if as accurate as it can be. Congratulations! We love all your reviews, the way you presented them
Thank you so much for the feedback, Teresa!! So delighted to hear you had a good trip and I’m sure our viewers will love the update on le bora bora!! ❤️❤️
The beach is amazing. Our beach in Bora Bora was nothing like this! Also I love the Polynesian style with all the detailed wood work in the rooms! Thanks for the tour again !
Thanks Johan! This is a great property, and for Bora Bora, it's much more "affordable" compared to other options. Look out for costco travel deals for this one, they always come up! - Max
Hello! Thank you for this great review! Yours is the best one I have found on this resort! I’ll be coming to the resort the last week of March staying in a Otemanu OWB. Your view looked great! I like the straight view looking out from the bedroom. Can you suggest a room number for me to request for a great view? Would you have wanted to be further out in the lagoon? I have read that it may be more windy further out. Thanks for any info!
Hey Kelly! Thanks so much for reaching out - it was such a wonderful hotel. I highly recommend the straight on view rooms because they are over perfectly shallow water and have a direct view of the mountain. I can’t remember the room numbers specifically and I can’t attach an image here but if you DM me on IG I’ll send you a map with the circled rooms to request! Or email me at team@voyagerguru.com :) xx maren
That’s exciting!!! I hope you have a wonderful journey over to FP! Le bora bora is a wonderful place to vacation - I hope you have the best time!! Let us know if you have any questions and definitely let us know how your stay is!! - maren
Good question! We usually bring take out 100-200 USD from the atm at the airport to have on hand for tips and markets. Most things accept credit card but at the Papeete Pearl market for example, cash is king. On bora bora 99% is credit but if you go to a local shop or market you’ll get better deals with cash
So we have a bank that lets us pull out the local currency at a good rate (ally) so I would recommend just using a local ATM if you have a good withdrawal option with your bank (no fees). It’s usually cheaper to withdraw than it is to exchange. If your bank doesn’t have a favorable rate or high withdrawal fees, I’d exchange dollars at a bank on bora bora. The airport is usually a really shitty exchange rate but local banks are grest
We're considering Le Bora Bora for our Honey moon after our Antigua wedding in May 2025, When you say you can walk from the bungalow to the end do you mean it's very shallow like only a few feet of water under the bungalows?
hey there! Congratulations on your upcoming wedding 🤗 and yes, as you can see in the drone shots that shelf of white sand makes the water under the bungalows waste deep almost everywhere, it's a stunning location! If you have more questions, or you're looking at multiple properties and would like a rate comparison, we get great rates and perks at hotels in French Polynesia and around the world, just DM us on instagram, or email us at team@voyagerguru.com!
Hey there! Thanks for your comment! That’s such good feedback - we liked the food on our trip but definitely not the best in French Polynesia. We found overall food in Tahaa and Moorea is better than bora bora
Hi. We were in Bora Bora a month ago... it's unforgettable. I'm also loving your striped shirt. Any chance of getting the make and style? Is it linen? I'd like to buy it for my hubby. Thank you. :)
Hey there! Thanks so much for your comment! Bora bora is sooo amazing. Also hehe - it’s a knit button down for Zara! I actually saw it still available in Vietnam in January so it may still be around!! It’s a great shirt :) - xx maren
Thank you so much, Teni!! Congratulations!! It’s a wonderful choice for a honeymoon - I would ABSOLUTELY take advantage of the free activities every day, it’s so fun to make flower crowns and stuff :). I would recommend the half board plan at a minimum, it helps cut down meal costs while you’re there and its a generous plan. My fave restaurant was otemanu for the view and good food. I wouldn’t recommend going to the island unless you’re really dedicated because it’s a bit of a haul. Spa is nice, renovated recently. Let me know if you have any questions!
@@VoyagerGuru aaww thanks for your response!! Yes I do have one last question. What did you use to book your trip? I am looking through agencies like Expedia but I don’t seem to notice a “half board plan”? 😊
Hi teni! Anytime!!! So if you book through Expedia you likely won’t see that option - however, just email the hotel and they can give you the price for the package add on :) you can do it anytime - even when you check in if you want!
@@VoyagerGuru hello! I had a quick question regarding the half board option you told me about :) What exactly does that entail and what does it cover/how does that meal plan work? Thank you in advance for your help!
Hi Mo! Thanks for reaching out...hmm.... I'm not sure I've heard of their ocean view bungalow, where are you seeing this option? The best category is Mount Otemanu view and then the second best is Lagoon view. Their standard overwater bungalow will be closer to the public areas like the beach or facing into the beach slightly and will have less privacy. However, all the rooms are exactly the same, just the views change :). Mount Otemanu view was incredible!
Hi Mariam! Thanks for your comment. We have been to French Polynesia in November and we had great weather! Honestly, we were also there in Feb/March and had great luck so it really just depends on the year and mother nature. Sometimes you get super lucky and other times not! Thank you for the video! We'll be there at the end of August to celebrate our 10-year wedding anniversary! We are very excited and your video definitely helped us have an idea of what to expect. Hopefully is less windy :). Did you guys experience any of the restaurants from the main island?
Hi Thais! that's so exciting!! congratulations!! Yea, the wind is a seasonal thing so hopefully august is better :) the wind was really nice, except for when it was gusty. The boat that takes you to the main island is also complimentary, however, the caveat is that it does not take you to Vaitape the main town, it takes you about 15 minutes drive from Vaitape so a taxi will cost you about 15-20 dollars each way to get to town. I would recommend going to the main land only if you want to get off the property for lunch + shopping for an afternoon. Do not go on a sunday as everything is closed!! The sunset cruises and other activities start around 150 per person. I would highly recommend the sunset cruise- the open bar was amazing and the appetizers were delicious!
