    Hey, love your channel. I'm looking in to going back to French Polynesia this year. I noticed you guys mentioned this resort as being one of the most beautiful you've ever been to ever, this is the second time I've heard somebody say that about le taha'a . It's interesting coming from you guys because you've visited so many other amazing hotels before too. Do u guys still feel this was one of your favorites? FYI I've been to Le Bora Bora and Anantara Kihavah (maldives) ... both absolutely amazingly beautiful resorts that I can't imagine any place being more amazing

      Hey!! Thanks so much for reaching out- ahh french polynesia has such a special place in our hearts, I'm jealous of your trip!! The interesting thing about Le Tahaa is the setting it's in. It's just...magical. The lagoon is absolutely phenomenal and that coral garden is like a natural lazy river. It's just very, very unique. The view of bora bora in the distance and the little catamarans hanging out off the lagoon just make it extremely picturesque. The hotel is certainly on the more rustic side- I think Le Bora Bora is higher end in terms of luxury experience, but Le Tahaa has a bit of that robinson crusoe vibe - it's very quiet, calm and relaxing. It cannot compete with the quality of service and hospitality at Kihavah, for sure, but if you are looking for something a little bit different from Bora Bora that is phenomenal from a culture, natural beauty and incredible snorkeling experience, I would for sure recommend it. Let us know any questions you have!! happy to help! :) xx, Maren

      @VoyagerGuru I plan on going to Hilton moorea because I've never been to moorea before and after that I gotta chose between le taha'a or back to le bora bora again...
      TBH I feel like if I did chose le taha'a I would miss having the view of Mount otemanu right in front of me though like i did in le bora bora. Le taha'a does look beautiful though and obv receives a lot of praise.
      I would also love to try four seasons bora bora, but for that price tag maybe only for 1 night or 2 nights max.

    • @VoyagerGuru
      @VoyagerGuru  3 місяці тому +2

      @@Scrappy1451 Nice!! moorea is a beautiful island!! the hotels aren't much to write home about but the setting is incredible. Ooo interesting choices. yea for luxury/service, I'd say book le bora bora for a few nights + 2 nights at FS if you want to try something new. If you want to just relax and not do anything, Le tahaa would be a great choice. I'm not sure it's worth the transfer from tahaa to bora bora if you're going for just a few days but that could be an option depending on price if you wanted to couple Le Tahaa + le bora bora or FS. I know a lot of people do that as well.

      Hello again! Actually, the pool beach villas were getting totally renovated so we didn't see them on this trip, but they look gorgeous. If you can, request a villa towards the end of the island to get the best views and best beach. The villas closer to the main lobby area have less beachfront (and are less private).

    Looks like you both had a beautiful experience. My wife and I are relaying heavily on videos like yours to help us narrow down between staying in Bora Bora or Tahaa for 5-7 nights. Island hopping would be fun, but we decided to pass on that and keep it simple.
    Could you tell me rather the Le Taha’a property offers jet skis for an additional charge?

    • @VoyagerGuru
      @VoyagerGuru  4 місяці тому +1

      Hey! Thanks so much for your comment :) that means a lot to us! Tahaa does offer jet skis and jet ski tours, as does bora bora. I’d say ultimately it comes down to what you want to do on vacation - tahaa is much more laid back, very quiet and relaxing and not much traffic around on the water- that snorkeling is unreal. It’s a bit more “low key”. Bora bora will be more active, there’s lots of hotels and access to the mainland shopping and restaurants. It’s a bit more touristy and we found the show to not be as good as it was at tahaa. They’re both excellent for different reasons, but I think it ultimately is about deciding whether you want to have a low key, no shoes vibe or a more active, accessible vacation. Happy to help if you need anything or have any other questions :)

      @@VoyagerGuru Thanks for taking the time to lay out your experiences at both and help us make a better informed decision. Based off what you have written, our vibe about the two locations seems to be confirmed. We are really leaning the Tahaa route but that could change. Both Le Bora Bora and Le Tahaa look stunning. Just to confirm, the property resort of Le Tahaa has jet skis on property? We aren’t sure if we want to do a guided tour or just our own adventure. Also, you might not know the answer to this, but my wife and I attend Mass every Sunday. We would love to do so in Tahaa. Does the resort assist with transportation to and from the nearest Church? Obviously there are none on the tiny motu. Any insight would be great.

    • @VoyagerGuru
      @VoyagerGuru  4 місяці тому

      @MountAthosandAquinas anytime! Happy to help :). So they did have jet skis when we were there - I would confirm they still exist though pre booking via their concierge. You never know- they could have died and not been replaced so definitely I recommend asking. For church services - there are a few churches on Raiatea and the hotel does have scheduled transfers to the mainland so they should definitely be able to help you with getting over there :) while you’re there you can also check out the vanilla and pearl factories!

      @MountAthosandAquinas 4 місяці тому

      @@VoyagerGuru Yes! The pearl/vanilla farming are definitely on our to do list. Looking at ATV rides that stop by those locations. The resort is so beautiful (and that coral garden) that our reasons to leave the motu will be very few (ATV, Vanilla farm, pearl extracting experience, Mass, and maybe Jet ski). Thank you for answering my questions and I will reach out to the resort to confirm about the jet skis. Your reviews are excellent. Thanks again

Visa Signature credit cards do have some benefits like room upgrades and property credits. Hey Kristine! Thanks for reaching out! Definitely the coral garden being basically on the Tahaa property is a HUGE benefit for snorkel lovers. You can walk up to the entry point and float down over and over again for days and see something different every time! The food overall was better at Le Tahaa than Le Bora Bora so that's also a huge plus. Bora Bora is a fantastic place to see with the views of the mountain and it's an incredibly unique place, but depending on how long your trip is, it may not be worth the added cost. @VoyagerGuru  Рік тому

      Hi there! Thanks for your comment! Every hotel has compromises to a certain extent. There’s truly no perfect hotel, but in terms of this location, this is the best property. French Polynesia in general doesn’t really have any perfect hotels - it comes down to more what you’re willing to compromise on. Le Tahaa is in a stunning location and the access to the coral garden is spectacular. While the service is not as refined as it could be, it’s overall a great experience thanks to the location, views, lagoon and cuisine. If there’s something specifically you’re looking for, let us know and we can provide some other suggestions :)

    Hello Voyager Guru , i’m in love with coral garden in Taha’a . We were on the cruise and day trip excursion to Taha’a That’s why I love to come back. And thx so much for your video . Yes we ll stay at Le Taha’a next year . You think November weather still ok? they called shoulder months. Should we buy the dinner package? My husband is not picky but he never wants to try strange authentic food. And how do you go to Coral garden from Le Taha’a.
    Last time we went with the tour from Raiatea , he dropped us off one one side of Coral garden , we floated with the current and picked us up the other side . The coral garden pulled me back to Taha’a again😊
    Thanks so much , I definitely take your advices to prepare for the trip

      Thank you so much Tania! What an amazing cruise it sounds like!! November is typically good, it’s the start of a slower season the weather is usually bad in Jan or feb :). The half board package is usually a GREAT deal so worth thinking about because you get 3 courses at dinner and the price is usually much higher if you pay for the meal outside the meal plan. The coral garden is pretty easy to get to from the hotel beach - you basically just cross over through the shallow water, walk up along the beach (wear water shoes!!!) and then drop in and float down. Many people do it over and over again all day every day!!

      Hello Max and Maren , is gettttting close , I just watched your video again . I found a little note at beginning of video that you would not recommend insta 360? I had 360 X3, bought the dive case to protect in water for the trip but now you said wouldn’t use it? why ? It crossed my mind also how we video us , myself and my husband when we float. Yea We were there before, the current pushed us , sometimes having hard time to stay away not get bumped and scratched by corals.
      I saw on your list that gopro and gopro dome will work . That what we had before. But shouldn’t use 360 ? just make sure with you cuz didn’t have 360 before. Plz , I m waiting for your advices . Greatly appreciate Max and Maren

      Hey!!! Nice to hear from you!!! So you can totally use the Insta360 but the quality underwater isn’t super 360. The water can’t be stitched together very well so I would recommend using it in the standard view for the best quality :). However it’s totally fine to use, we just didn’t love the look of the 360 underwater! The best action cam right now is the DJI one :)

    • @VoyagerGuru
      @VoyagerGuru  2 роки тому

      Hi Kristine! That’s a tough choice!! Both bora bora and le tahaa are beautiful. They’re a bit different, though. Le Tahaa is incredibly stunning and honestly the lagoon is just the most beautiful lagoon I think we’ve ever seen. There is really nothing else around other than the local island which is nice for a day trip. The views of mount otemanu are fantastic. The hotel is very rustic-luxury with sizeable rooms and direct access to the lagoon. Of course the coral garden is a huuuuge draw- so much fun. Bora bora will be more active, there is some shopping, activities and boat traffic around. If you’re considering the intercon Moana you’ll have access to the main island and it’s good for those looking for easy access to activities and restaurants. The thalasso property is on the outer ring so views of otemanu, very high end hotel. Food was way better at Tahaa than anywhere we went on bora bora. You could always do a split stay between BB and Tahaa, but if you just pick one, I would say Tahaa for pure relaxation and laid back luxury or intercon for activities, more “liveliness” and access to shopping and adventure

    • @VoyagerGuru
      @VoyagerGuru  2 роки тому +1

      Hi Toni! Thank you for your comment!! That was a great move. So I think it’ll come down to two questions: 1. Do you want to be over water or do you perhaps prioritize other things over your room type? If you want the overwater experience, it’s worth it to with le tahaa on that alone. #2. What kind of vacation are you looking for? If you want a laid back luxury focused on privacy, doing everything on your own time and have a low key vacation, le tahaa is definitely for you. Le bora bora is a bit more touristy and there’s more to do, so if you want an active vacation that’s a great option. Personally, I loved the quiet, relaxing experience at tahaa.
