My mom is 85 and she ordered the Lectric XP trike on Thanksgiving. I know this will shock you but it came with smashed fenders. Lectric customer service was very nice and shipped the parts out that we needed for repair. I just got the parts installed and I’m hoping that she enjoys her bike. Since I watched your video comparisons, I’m wondering if the Mooncool may have been a better option for her, but hopefully she likes it and like Mrs. Adventure it will enable her to get out more. Thanks for making your videos you do a great job!

Give a good check over on the trueness of those rear wheels, tires and axles. Bent fenders are most times just the beginning of heavy impact on those.
Just sayin and have been there TWICE with that trike...

"Shocker". Hey your welcome, and I am sure mom is loving it. No regrets. With just a little time, there's always going to be a slightly better product to come out. XP trike is a lot of fun, its the one I have been riding most recently.
My in-laws in The Villages heat set at 82° and they used to live up here and they don’t turn the A/C on till it’s 90° in the house 😂 Glad to meet your wife, Richard. Not sure if I could get my wife in front of the camera. I just got my new camera it does have zoom but I haven’t had time to play with it. Awesome interaction with a future buyer, I love talking about the bikes and showing people also, my wife thinks I’m obsessed.
I have to be careful. Its turning into an addiction. Its so much fun.

Looks like a great day and a chance to talk about the benefits to those who are unable to ride a regular bike. My wife had knee surgery and it has prevented her from riding a regular bike but we are able to get our again with our ebikes

Your wife is delightful. What state do you live in? It’s beautiful. I live in the desert with few sidewalks. I admit, I’m envious of the green. I love the battery life on the Moon bike. I haven’t seen a pedal from Mrs Adventure. This has helped cement my decision. I almost purchased an Electrik.

It's nice to know you allow others to test ride your Trikes. Can I come visit you and try out the MoonCool? Our Ebike people in the area POO POO the MoonCool saying it's a piece of junk. I'm 72 had polio at 13 months and my mom is 95, we thought we would be able to get out and about a bit more like you are doing. Let me know if we could travel over your way?

Suggest to Mrs A that she could use that velcro strap to wrap it around one of the wheels to keep it from rolling away.
Great to see Mrs. Adventure out enjoying the day. Also good to hear Mooncool will have a parking brake. That was a big oversight for a trike in my opinion but one that was probably easy to make. I'd love to have a controller where the pedal assist works like the Lectric XP and the throttle works like the Mooncool. It's interesting that the Mooncool feels so much more stable. In the comparison video you did they looked pretty equal as far as stability and wheel lift but it's obviously a difference everyone notices. I wonder if it's the wider tires, the suspension fork or a combination of the two that makes Mooncool feel so much more stable? Just going by specs there shouldn't be a noticeable difference or maybe a slight advantage for Lectric with a wider wheelbase. There's no denying what everyone is actually feeling though and that counts more than specs. I think I might be a Mooncool customer if it weren't for the lower weight capacity.
Your right, its just a little perplexing. But suspension forks, slightly wider tires, slight differences in frame design could simply be the reason.
To cool Mrs.Adventures came out with you! That was perfect timing the UPS guy showed up with the Yoto. Ill be watching that video. Interesting both ladies mentioned that the Moonkool was more stable. Is it wider than Lectrik? Hope you meet up with Joe and Lori they seem like cool people
Here's the surprise, the Mooncool is 1 1/2 inches more narrow. I don't really get it at all. I think front suspension and wider tires help.

In your other review you said the moon cool had tires the were 1.5 inches wider......that would make for a smoother ride
Doesn't it save battery to have to turn it on, whereas the MoonCool is already on?
on my ebikes I adjust the PAS levels as they tend to be a bit aggressive in starting out

I saw a few yt vids and tried it myself
my PAS1 was set to 44 & i cut it to 25 [yes it rides slower, but I like it]
PAS2 reset to 44 as it was 55
PAS3 reset to 55
PAS4 reset to 65
PAS5 rest to 99 I like it to start in PAS1 [cadence sensor] an easier start now.
my other ebike I set similar as it was off like a rocket too.
some are aggressive to give you the WOW factor.
I kinda like the assistance to start of slow & get on it later. [personal thing]

Yes the Mooncool TK1 was her choice, and it was an easy one after she rode it. We sold the E310.

Enjoyed your reviews of both the mooncool and lectric trikes. I recognize one of the places you and Mrs Adventure were riding at and it is in my area. Can you tell me if there are any dealers that carry any of these bikes in our area? My father wants an electric trike and I would like him to test ride. Thanks for the info.

The e310 is less stable because its more narrow. Its a very well built trike other than that. The TK1 is by far more stable, its also a good quality. Both fit me about the same and I am 6'1" 240 pounds. But my new go to trike is the HJM Trihauler. It may be better suited for his size.

You mentioned the battery turn on the the XP. You should clarify that is only needed if the bike has been sitting for 48 hours. If you go to the store and get off and back on after shopping, that turn on is not needed - it's only needed 48 hours later. People get the wrong idea and they develop unreal bias. I've had to clarify this for several folks on a FB group that I'm a moderator for. Keep on making ride videos.
Well Jim, that's just not the case with mine and possibly not the case with many others so maybe that is why they keep saying it. Mine has to be awakened after just a short time. Its a problem and I don't like it.
Sounds like a call the Lectric would get a new battery. From my discussions within our group. Most folks never find it off. Sounds like yours is defective. @@EbikeReviews

Speed is stability ... I suppose that is why folks feel the mooncool is more stable and better feeling. They are forced to ride more immediately.

thanks, it could be, if your driving over rough terrain, navigating rocks or stumps. Otherwise, I don't think it's a problem.

Richard, you need some business cards that you can give out to people you meet along the way. Ebike companies should watch your videos to see what an ebike ambassador you are.
Wow, thanks Michael, great compliment. I have thought about it, but then it would feel a bit "business" like, and I just want to have fun with it. But maybe... just for convenience.
Does that mean the Addmotor 310 trike is out?
For Mrs Adventure it is, I still like to ride it sometimes because of the power and speed.
What’s the range? Do fatter tires affect range?
Hard to say what the range will be since how and where you ride will affect it. But it has a 15ah battery so on average I would guess 20 miles in the lower speeds would be realistic. Fat tires play a small part of the equaysion, but honestly, it doesn't make that big of a difference like some people claim.
What do you do with all those bikes after evaluating them?
Eventually I sell them locally. I try to keep them as long as I have space.
