I saw the band live at Simpson College back in 1979. Loved seeing them live, and I'm glad I got to see them with bassist Paul Goddard and singer Ronnie Hammond. Anybody else there with me?

Oh dear.... Ronnie would be turning in his grave. The songs are great, but I'm afraid the band is as authentic as Molly Hatchet or Lynyrd Skynyrd now. The singer is doing his best, but he's no Ronnie Hammond (but who is?). Is that Dean on keyboards? Can't replace Barry or JR.... I'm sorry, but this is dreadful I love the music, but like Skynyrd, Hatchet, Blackfoot, Allmans, MTB.... ARS should be laid to rest, and the originals revered for what they were, and not sullied by poor tributes who really can't compete
All fine players, but you're right. Even when the long guitar break echoes some of Barry's great licks, they don't sound right on a Fender. The only member of the classic lineup here was Dean Daughtry, and now he's left us, too. This wasn't a big hit, but may be my favorite ARS song.

I saw them tonight live in Versailles, OH and oh my God they were phenomenal. The musicianship was crazy good.
