As someone who attempted the SM grind on my DK, even on Warmane, the grind is painfully long.. that’s why people buy it. It’s going to be even harder to obtain on a fresh realm with undergeared toons and new players. End-game is a fury Warrior fest and they all want it. Classic Wrath isn’t going to have many SM’s in the time that it’s relevant. Realistically, Gloren is going to be BiS for most War/DK. The amount of expertise it provides gets you to cap with one item too. For Ret Pala, iirc most end up with the 277 Bloodfall polearm which competition for poles are shared also with Feral and Hunter.
@@FarkGaming I agree with most of what Funky says and I totally understand where he’s coming from, but I think it’s coming from a Warmane veteran, a realm where SM’s are common. Chase items are good especially when they’re hard to acquire. I played through most of the entire Wrath patch-cycle when it was retail - seeing someone pop into your pug raid with a SM was awesome because they were rare and you knew the player was going to pop off. Wrath Classic will be a much different environment than an old realm with a gear shop.
@Brandon Kruse That's why I disagree with Funky on some points and use this platform for discussion. I played / am playing on prog servers and approach a lot of the topics from classic wrath PoV. Funky brings in valuable veteran opinion from many years of wrath Pserver scene. It's OK to say "Hey I disagree on X point and here's why", nobody is afraid of friction and all/any discussions are welcome (except garbage content creators uploading trash guides).
@Vespr Warglaives are a flat drop whereas SM requires bunch of primo saronite first + grindfest for the shards. If you're in a guild that is not reall clearing any HC content the shard drop % will be lower, thus extending and prologing SM completion
Ah, yes, because people who only do ICC and RS know perfectly how each and every tier works despite playing none of them on progression aside T10 (and even that is questionable). Double holy paladin take on Valanyr is legitimately up there with Anfall's double disc take, if not worse... jk, it's way worse. This is how you know from the bat Funky has never done T9 in appropriate gear.
Only fight that matters in T9 is Anub 25 HC, where double disc has no visible benefit to the raid comp. Hell, if anything they're more useful on factions due to being a pvp spec, but in general that fight is considered to be a meme. If bosses get released in classic wrath with their original HP/DMG/Armor values pretty much everything will be a pushover besides couple of bosses that will punish raid groups that don't respect the mechanics. In general 0%buff ICC is considered to be the hardest content in wrath (besides RS and select few HM/HC fights before ICC), therefore a lot of theorycrafting has been based around T10.
@@FarkGaming we arent discussing double disc, though, it's a dumb take. Not pulling Valanyr on your 2nd holy paladin when you are going to use two on any realistic progression in T9 AND T10 makes negative sense - you can look up any recent private server realm first kills of ToGC/ICC 0% in appropriate gear(not 6.5k garbage ofc) and find me, well, one video where double hpala is not utilized. So Funky saying you don't use double hpala on ToC and ICC is the literal equivalent of admitting he never progressed these tiers with a decent guild that can do full clears in first month, let alone a pushing guild.
@@Kirby777X Last 4 prog servers have had buffed and modified content and there was a need for 1 more holy paladin. Classic wrath is a different story. Most of these content creators are uploading these videos about CLASSIC WRATH without any previous experience on blizzlike tuning. ICC Normal is a pushover, heroic will be harder but still mostly a joke in terms of healing. Only fight where one might justify double holy paladins is LOD 0%, for obvious reasons. The genereal problem here is that bunch of information is being regurgitated by indivduals that barely any clue about the game besieds playing on trash like Whitemane/Synergy, the same individuals that post non sensical garbage "tank tier lists".
@@FarkGaming buffed servers are not a legitimate excuse when even on unbuffed tuning people use double holy paladins for progression just due to raw throughput. Funky briefly mentions Merfin while discussing a tier list, while the very same Merfin had his own guild on a server with unmodified content, where a strat specific for unmodified content (rushing Anubarak in one sub merge phase) was used to success. Is Merfin now bad for doing ToGC progression with 2 hpala? This type of misinformation served as "well, muh buffed servers so it doesnt count" is deeply troubling, Information by people who haven't progressed anything prior to T10 on any server feels like Gnev level content to an observer. Is this really what Funky is going for here? The hypocrisy is saddening.
Funky has just decided he doesn't like anfall and the only thing he can find wrong with him is dr on haste and double disc priest. Anfall is cringe, and doesn't understand how simming works and doesn't know how to work logs either. But, he can play the game well and can be taken seriously on some aspects of wow.
ok? so your pointing out reasons why hes bad and he should stop spreading misinformation. Thanks. If someone can play well then by all means go play. Stop talking about things you dont understand then and spreading lies. Stop using your realm firsts against zero competition on private servers to try to win arguments like you are 10 years old. I dont like people who lie and misinform others as we all should. Anfall is the least of my worries or concerns tbh. I have been calling out players for 10 years on wrath and some like awbee gnev raifury i have made far more comments about than anfall. IDK what is up with people being thin skinned but get over it.
