I really love your style. My style is mostly achieved with Simple Stories and Felicity Jane products but love scraplifting where I can. Thanks for all you inspiration and time made creating layouts and then up,leading your videos. Much appreciated.
Beautiful layouts and inspiration!!!! You are so gifted and I've learned so much since I've found you. Thank you for sharing your gift. Now I'm on the hunt for this retired I love stamp & thin cut :)
Thank you so much! I appreciate your kind words. That was a great stamp set and I wish it was still around. There are some retired CTMH groups on Facebook where you can look for stamp sets that are no longer available.
@@CraftyConceptswithErin Thank you. I haven't found it yet. I'll probably just create it with my silhouette and type the words out on my laptop. Girls gotta do what a girls gotta do lol
FANTASTIC!! My favorites are your “stash busters”…I have oodles of Creative Memories paper packs with coordinating stickers, journal boxes, etc. Your ideas will help me use up LOTS of my odds & ends! Many thanks🥰
Love, love, love all these layouts and I too am a great lover of the ocean. Now we live landlocked in the Midwest so I have to wait until I can visit home on the west coast to enjoy it these days. Just scraplifted an idea from one of your other videos--keep 'em coming!!
Hello Sharon, I’m glad you were inspired and scraplifted a layout. I’m always happy to hear that! That must be tough being so far away from the ocean but your visits home will be that much more wonderful.
Erin, I love all the layouts (of course), but I really appreciated the stories behind the layouts. Like telling the story of the project and the memories you were sharing.
Got your card, beautiful and thoughtful, thank you. Tried yesterday to do a little in my scraproom, lasted about five minutes - small steps are better than no steps! Determined to be back at it soon.
Amazing. Almost all your backgrounds start with white cardstock which I never do. You have pulled this off beautifully better than most I've seen. Motivated to try white.
Such fun looking at all the layouts, especially the ones I had not seen. It is so good to go back and pick up even more tips and creative ways to do our own layouts. So happy you share these with us. I always look forward to the notification you have posted a video. LOVE IT❣️❣️❣️
Such beautiful layouts. Thanks for all the ideas, tips and inspiration. Recently discovered your channel and I'm a real fan!! I can't wait to see what you do with all the wonderful July-Aug. catalog offerings.
Loved seeing these layouts again plus the ones I hadn’t seen previously! I was reminded that I want to do one similar to yours with all the colourful letters and/or numbers. Thanks for sharing your beautiful work!
Love how you used so many pocket cards on a traditional layout! Do you have the Playlist for your creative design team collaboration using pocket cards, I'd like to see more ideas as I have sooo many to use?
I have a lot of pocket cards too! If you click on this video you can find all the other videos in the description box below. The playlist is one big collective playlist so this would be the quickest way to locate the pocket card videos.
Hello Allie, I haven’t done a specific journaling tips video but I think that is an excellent idea! I do print on vellum. There are likely vellums in different weights but Close to My Heart’s product goes through my printer with no trouble.
Erin, what beautiful layouts! I just found your channel today and now I’m so excited to binge watch your videos! Thank you for sharing your amazing talent with us!♥️X
Thank you! I have several CTMH post bound albums that have been in use for at least 15 years now and still going strong! I do have other brands that are not standing the test of time so I cast my vote for CTMH. The D rings are great but I don’t think any d ring album will hold up to a post bound in the long run.
you're my favorite person to follow about scrapbooking. I have a question. On the first layout of your son and his lady you have your journaling on a tag. The tag has a mint thing around the hole. How'd you do that? With ink, or did it come that way in your kit? It's a little thing, but it added just the right somethin somethin.
Hello Dori, thank you and I am so glad you are enjoying the scrapbook layouts. The mint circle on the tag was cut from a die from The Buildable Tags set from CTMH. There is a circle shaped one as well as an oblong option. I know what you mean about adding just the right little something! You can see the set here erinjacobson.closetomyheart.com/retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=15506
Hello there! Thank you for your kind words. If you are wanting to scraplift for your personal use you are welcome to do so. I’m glad you were inspired!
Hello there! Good question, yes they all go into a page protector. I use the post bound albums for my permanent albums. The close to my heart page protectors are really nice, possibly the best, and I’ve tried a lot.
I watch most of your process videos and enjoyed a "review" of them here. I'm curious-- Why do you use the post bound for permanent albums versus the d-ring?
Thank you! That is a good question. The d-ring is super easy to add pages or take them out so that is why it’s my work in progress album. I also do not feel they have the longevity of a post bound album. Plus the post bounds lay the pages close together when you are looking through the album and I think that looks a little nicer.
Hello, I do print all my own photos at home and I use an app called Print to Size. I have a video walking you through the entire process but heads up, the app only works with iPhone. If you have an iPhone you would love it! Initially it looked like there was a version for android but it was not legit ua-cam.com/video/unDuVv0lxKA/v-deo.html
Hello Robbie, that stamp set is called Moments with You. The stamp is still available but the “I Love” thin cut has sold out. If you have other letter dies perhaps you can still get the look. Here is the link to the stamp erinjacobson.closetomyheart.com/retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=14966
@@robbieminor6349 sadly no, CTMH will keep the stamp around for around a year but once the thin cuts sell out they are gone. Once a year they have a big thin cut sale and occasionally they will have held some just for that event but we don’t k ow until then and that usually falls in the summer time
Hi Erin, great name 😉 Pocket Cards were designed for pocket scrapbooking where the page protectors are divided into 4x6 and 3x4. The pocket cards come in coordinating sizes and are popular for Day or Week in the life type scrapbooking projects. I use them for titles, embellishments and for layering on my regular 12x12 pages. Hopefully that makes sense. In the CTMH world they are called picture my life cards.
I do like your videos, but I notice how often you say that you can’t use flowers, or pink, or some other thing because the photos are of boys. I encourage you to break out of those stereotypes and you’ll see that flowers and colours have no gender and photos of boys can look great with those elements! I’m a mum of two boys too, and I don’t feel those restrictions
I certainly never mean to offend anyone and only offer suggestions. There are no hard rules when it comes to art. Of course use what works for you in telling your stories. I have used flowers on boy layouts and my boy dog layouts too. I only mean that florals and pinks generally don’t capture my boys personalities or compliment their photos. But definitely always go with what you like. I do get a lot of questions specifically asking for ideas for boys layouts so perhaps that is why I point those things out. You are 100% right that flowers can work for boys.
@@CraftyConceptswithErin absolutely no offence! I just thought you might feel restricted by stereotypes, and clearly you don’t, which is awesome. I certainly don’t use florals on all my pages, and I agree we sometimes struggle for more ‘masculine’ styles. And we all have different tastes, and that’s why scrapbooking is so unique and special to each one of us. So my turn to say, I certainly didn’t mean to offend. It’s all good
