Forget biggest boy band, BTS are the biggest group in the world. BTS has been a group for over 10 years and they are still very much together. Their roots as a group is hip hop with 3 very incredible rappers and 4 vocalists. Right now 3 members of BTS including Suga are fulfilling their mandatory military service in South Korea (military service is mandatory for all able bodied men in South Korea for at least 18 months). Suga has to serve 21 months because he's doing public service instead of active duty due to a previous shoulder injury. The other 4 members of BTS just announced they will also be enlisting soon and they will reunite in 2025 once their service is complete.
If you liked that, check out the second MV from the Agust D trilogy linked to this song. It's called Haegeum. The third song is Amygdala. It completes a personal story for him.
This was a great reaction to one of my favorites! "Daechwita" is the Korean word for an ancient genre of music that was played in Korea whenever the king or his armies were in public; the music announced the royal presence to the people - so Suga is saying "I'm the king, play that music for me" You nailed it - it's a battle against himself. The greedy king Suga vs. the humble Suga...the scar has a story all its own through two more videos related to this one: "Haegum" and "Amygdala" In this song Suga is calling out Korean rappers who say they take drugs to 'get their creative juices flowing'...a lot of westerners think Suga is referring to all rappers, including American rappers, but he's not -- He's lived his whole life in Korea and worked entirely in the Korean music scene and in Korean underground hip-hop, so his comments are always about the people he observes around him in Korea Suga is not against medications for real physical and mental issues - he's openly rapped about his own struggles with depression, social anxiety, OCD, and treatment of the chronic pain he suffered for a decade after a car accident
Please react to Amygdala by AGUST D, Agust d by AGUST D, Dear my friend BY AGUST D ( feat kim jongwan ) BUT the dear my friend live at concert pleasee I’m sure you’re going to cry
I like how insightful you are. Not many reactors catch on to the fact the executioner was in on the plot all along. Suga/Agust D is very talented as are all his BTS brothers (they have truly become a family). His lyrics and delivery are very direct (often blunt), raw and honest (he’s not worried about ruffling feathers), so his bars often hit hard. BTS as a group arose from humble beginnings and faced a lot of struggles, and so did Suga in his personal life. He never hid his mental health struggles and uses music as a way to work through them and help others do the same. He seems to be in a much better emotional place now.
The two that were fighting in the background at the start were other members of BTS doing Cameos. Jin - the oldest & JungKook - the youngest. Consider checking out more of BTS & SUGA - I think you'd like the Cyphers. RM's 'Joke' is also awesome
Daechwita is the first of a trilogy. You are correct, the King and the Rebel both have the scar, because they are both aspects of Agust D. The blonde King is the angr, mad, power crazy one. In the end, the rebel, dark-haired AgustD kills the angry power-mad king. The next is Haegeum, watch it, you will again see two Agust D confronting eachother. Last in the trilogy is Amygdala. Very different, but it explains both the scar and the past that lead to the creation of Agust D.
Not just a rapper with this flow, not just a writer but also a producer. He really has it all, pretty much all members of the group do but Min Yoongi is really cut from a different cloth.
The line "born slave but now a king" must be related to societal expectations. Agust D/Suga often talks in his lyrics about how capitalism and society's rules is making everyone captive and usually we do it to ourselves too. Just to "fit in" and be accepted. In Daechwita, he shows that he doesn't need these rules, he overcome that to become a king in the music industry. I didn't expect you to pay so much attention to the lyrics, it was refreshing. Try Haegeum if u want to see more of Agusd D's music, bet you're gonna enjoy the MV too.
I'm speechless when it comes to Suga, I’ll never regret knowing him, I'm blessed to listen to his songs that touch my pain so deeply, we can't express this man’s talent into words! He’s been always this singer, the singer who is not afraid to show his emotions and someone who puts his pain and his soul into his works, he can be the fastest rapper ever who doesn't need oxygen and he can make the most overwhelming and heartbreaking songs that make you cry because this talented man can make anything that would be also a piece of art!
Actually Min Yoongi (A.k.a Agust D, A.k.a Suga of BTS) is in fact a direct descendant of one of the most powerful Royalty of the Joseon Dynasty. Directly related to Queens and Empresses. They were the most admired. Queen Inhyeon. Queen Wongyeong. Empress Sunmyeong (One of the 4 of them was his grandma for sure) He's a member of the Yeoheung Min Clan, which ruled for more than 5 centuries from 1392 to 1897. That means that if Royalty was still a thing today in Korea, He would be THE actual King of the Yeoheung Min Clan because his family had a high ranking within the clan. And beside the 4 Queens, his family held 242 senior titles in the royal court during the Joseon Dynasty. Today this Dynasty is known for their policies that ensured all the Korean to learned to write and read. HE'S INDEED A KING OF OUR GENERATION 💜👑 I'm thankfull to live at the same time of him and the other members of BTS 💜 PS: English is not my first language. Please, excuse the mistakes. 💜
it's not Sugar it's Shoo Ga. as in shooting guard. it was his position when he played basketball. Agust D is suga spelled backwards and DT is his hometown.
Actually Suga is fucking genius, also he changed a lot in the way I think, after listening to “Amygdala” for the First time, I felt so much better, I felt that I'm not alone, I’m so Reconciled with myself now, I'm so grateful
It is pronounced like the month. The subtitles on their videos are accurate if they have them added. Please react to the next two videos, they are a part of his trilogy, and the last video is his story. They are meant to be watched in order. SUGA aka Agust D is an amazing storyteller, and he writes and produces his own songs. And he produces for other people too. He's even won awards for producing other people's work. *Suga aka Agust D's Trilogy: and Meanings for the song titles* *Daechwita* (2020) - is a genre of Korean traditional music consisting of military music played by wind and percussion instruments, generally performed while the ARMY is marching or as a static performance usually when the King is arriving. (Suga aka Agust D meant the BTS ARMY to be implied.) *Haegeum* (2023) - has two meanings. The first, it's a traditional Korean string instrument, resembling a vertical fiddle with two strings, usually played at Royal Court. Also, it means to lift a ban, or release what is forbidden. Agust D - Haegeum (turn on CC's) - ua-cam.com/video/iy9qZR_OGa0/v-deo.html *Amygdala* (2023) - is an almond shaped part of our brain which is commonly thought to form the core of a neural system for processing fearful and threatening stimuli, including detection of threat and activation of our fight or flight response. The amygdala helps to store memories of events and emotions so that an individual may be able to recognize similar events in the future. I recommend checking out more from him, especially the tracks Agust D, Tony Montana, and What Do You Think, as well as the rest of BTS rapline. I agree with the other commenter, Joke by RM is absolute gold. Your jaw is gonna drop on that one.
BTS haven't disbanded they do solo work and group work. Also his doing his militry service right now along with 2 of the other members and the other 4 will start their military service in a few weeks. They'll all be back together in late June 2025. So yeah he's part of the global super group BTS.
It's BTS-pop not in the K-pop category like Suga said in AGUST D MV,I believe that Suga is the most talented rapper ever, he isn't embarrassed to show his emotions or his real self, and his special delivery, the way he can be so soft and so aggressive at the same time is so captivating
Just a little FYI for you....BTS debuted in 2013, the CEO of BigHit the Company, BangPD sent the guys to USA to get mentored. The mentors were Coolio and Warren G...Coolio listened to some of their stuff and said not bad for some kids. The guys at the time were 14,15 16 and 17. The guys, BTS, write their own music and to do that and be so young was very extraordinary. The video American Hustle Life is about BTS learning hip hop from the masters and how they did. You might find it interesting. Also, if you truely want to know about the whole group and how they got started, watch Taylor Mari video Bangtan Seven. Its long but its well worth it. Army's know it by heart, so watch carefully, don't skip, or fast forward because the whole thing is facts about the guys and their lifes. I'm an over 60 Army (BTS FAN) been watching the guys since 2015 so i KNOW what I'm saying. Hope you enjoy, some reactors can't hang with these guys, they are so talented it makes some guys feel to small in their lifes....😂😢😅 when they see how young they started and what all they've done. Enjoy!!
@@LittleBrassPegasus YEP, I sure did. It could be helpful to this young man. I know some of it is cringy, but it shows what the guys were willing to go thru to learn more about their craft. I admire them for that. 🫰💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
My gosh I am 75yr old and ashamed to admit how much I love these guys. Their humbleness most of all is what attracts me, not full of the BS these celebrities adapt while being famous they are so down to earth and appreciate their fans who got them there never forget them. They are all so incredibly talented in their own space. I love t hem all.
Agust'D is Suga alter ego (I guess that's the right way to describe). In the video both are the same guy and the scar is not real. Every BTS member has their own solo albums. Suga use the name Agust'D in his solo albums. If you continue to react to Suga's songs (or maybe other BTS members) you will understand more. Thank you for your reaction.💜💜💜💜💜
I was lucky enough to see him in concert here in Chicago early part of this year. Mind you, all BTS (group) concerts are amazing, detailed shows. And to be able to obtain a ticket to these shows are like Hunger Games. The same with purchasing a ticket to his solo concert. He did his solo concert here in the US (NY, NJ, Chicago, LA) and then in Asia before he enlisted in the S. Korean military. Let me tell you the energy was off the chart! All of the songs he performed (including this song) he did such an incredible job. The crowd energy and Suga's undeniable talent and presence made it one of the best concerts I've ever been to!
3:22 now that you mentioned having humble beginnings, I'd like to suggest the Taylor's video "A guide to BTS: The Seven Members of Bangtan" , you get to know how much they went through to get where they are now and be as good/popular. But no matter how powerful and famous they are, they're still so humble. It also gives you more context of Agust D's lyrics:) I think you might like it, it's a long video but i promise we will watch it til the end. Glad you enjoyed his music, he's my favorite member of the group💜💜 PS: I apologize for grammar mistakes, eng is not my first language. Can't wait for you to react to more of his music, if you liked this one, Haegeum it's definitely a must watch.
He is a genius. Even back then when he did Daechwita he thought about doing a Trilogy. Years later we have the 2nd and 3rd part. They are his personal journey and thoughts. Love the 3 songs as well as his 2 mixtapes and his last album. The amazing thing is that he is one of the 7 extra talented members.
Yes.....the executioner was an accomplice....he was the same man who was the butcher in the first street market scene and they locked eyes then. Both characters are 2 versions of Agust D....this is a recurring theme in his trilogy of songs. The street fight in the beginning was a hilarious cameo by 2 of the members of BTS. I hope you will continue to explore this fabulous group of people. Although they are all about to be enlisted in the military at the same time, trust me when I tell you there is no lack of content. They have close to 400 songs between them (most self written and produced) and their music is just the tip of the iceberg as far as content goes. Thank you for reacting.
It's the legends BTS ! these 7 guys mean everything to me, I know it seems stupid.. but I can't handle this .. today I cried a lot, talking about them, ppl I'm proud of They came into my life 6 years ago, I was so close to dying, knowing that there was no escape, same Cicely of misery, and then they came lmfao, they taught me love, how to smile, and how to move on,iI will wait for them, even if it’s 20 years not 2, I will protect them, the same way they did to me, BTS are my family
love the reaction so far 🥰 thank you for checking out our suga aka AGUSTD 💜💜 i always love when reactors have a question or curious about something, and they immediately do a quick search instead of not knowing something then ask their viewer to tell them the answer in their comment section just to up their engagement then througout their whole vids theyre still clueless 🙄 but when i saw u do a quick search immediately just so u got the facts right, i love the reactions even more😍🥰
Suga is relatively quiet or subdued irl. But as Agust D, he says everything and anything to speak against their haters but also has songs where he speaks openly and honestly about his own struggles (whether with mental health, poverty, or even the heavy side of popularity & fame, or dealing with imposter syndrome. That is, he never wanted to be famous.) ... Raw, real, crazy flows & agility. ... Also from BTS, another rapper RM, is a master at wordplay, lyrics, and uses cultural & pop symbolism (korean & western) to say his piece. You should check out "Joke" and then then a breakdown video for a deeper appreciation!
Wow. I'm impressed. You figured it out without any help. You just witnessed the genius of Suga of BTS. Yes. He played 2 characters. The King and Agust D. Suga.. Just so you know his real name is Min Yoongi. He just told you part of his real life story through this beautiful little movie. When Suga started out he wanted fame and new clothes, and money and power, and cars. He wanted to be the boss. But slowly he found out what was important in life. Not the material things but just the opposite. Go back and listen to the lyrics. The most valuable thing to him now is his Time! And so the new Agust D kills the old AgustD, the king.yes. The butcher in the market was also the executor for the King. He conspired with the new Agust to take down the boss. The King. True to what Suga has done with his life. He lives in his Truth which is his power now. I subscribed immediately and perused your other reactions. You smartly took advice to watch the rest of Suga's trilogy. I look forward to watching your reaction. Know this. You have experienced his real life in this trilogy through creative story telling. I challenge you to really get to know him. He is an amazing human being. He dropped his first solo album D-Day. Then went on tour to share in person his new songs and more. The concert is online. But here is the thing. You have wondered into something amazing. All members of BTS are highly talented. They have been doing solo work because 3 of them are serving their mandatory Korean military service. Suga has a desk job. A civil job. Because of his torn shoulder he got a reprieve from the military as Not to train as a physical soldier. It was determined his shoulder would have been at high risk to injury. And the other 4 are enlisting soon. They will all join back up in 2025 as BTS again. As a fan we love watching new people discover their amazing talent. So please consider watching more of BTS. There is 10 years of material to watch! They sing and perform any and every genre. You might start with "Mic Drop". Then explore "Black Swan". Completely different. Most songs have rap included. There are 3 rappers. And 4 vocalist. But they all can sing and rap. You might consider watching a documentary to see how they started. They started at zero. All 7 in one bedroom on bunkbeds. Not kidding! And after lots of work and trials they made it to the top. But humbly with no egos. Time is their most valuable asset. And they Love their fans, Army. You have no idea the amazement you are about to discover. Choose BTS. Just an idea from ideagirl. Watch them WOW you with their dance and choreography! Enjoy.
BTS SONGS SINCE YOU LIKE HIP-HOP: •OUTRO:TEAR- BTS rappers song,2018 •Hip-Hop Lover/Phile- BTS song about their rap influences from old school rappers to recent ones,2015 •RUN BTS by BTS-2022,check out the concert or choreography video!!! •Born Singer- It’s the BTS adaptation of J. Cole’s Born Sinner they wrote in 2013 but J.Cole gave them permission to release it officially in 2022 •Just One Day-2014, more r&b and soft rap but I thought I should include it bc everyone suddenly learns how to sing in Korean bc it’s so catchy!! Haha There’s so much more BTS songs that are hip hop influenced and solo work as well. This is just a good starter list if you like hip hop!!!!
This is how I found you. The MASTERPIECE that is Daechwita. It is my absolute favorite mv ever. It bears watching at least a few more times just to notice even more that you missed on the first view. Loved it!
I like that you did your research DURING the reaction. It gets fake-ish when reactors ask obvious simple questions and then tell their viewers to “put it in the comments” just for easy interaction. I usually automatically click off those. Plus, you’re intuitive and hilarious! 👏 👏
You are correct with that he was fighting against himself love your reaction to this video can't wait to see more. BTS is world wide and Agust D also known as Suga speaks his truth in his bars 💜
They debuted in 2013, without money and being underappreciated, they appeared on television and were ignored, but their lyrics and music made people pay attention to them, the boys criticized the shitty and segregating society in which we live. They tried hard and gained recognition, but they never changed their personality, the boys are the same as when they had nothing, that ego of success typical of famous people does not exist for them, music is the only thing that matters to them and they always thank their fans for making their dreams come true, even though they had everything against them. I recommend born singer, a group song that talks a little about their beginnings, in this song they use the base/Sample of j Cole, born sinner.
Check out the behind the scenes making of the video. Suga truly outdid himself!! Also, please watch all of BTS’ videos even after credits may roll as the guys usually add to the performance/production. You did a nice job deciphering his message.
BTS is 7 members. There are 3 great rappers plus 4 star vocalist. An all star collective who have over 720 awards between their group and solo works. To check out the other rappers J Hope MORE. RM try STILL LIFE, or WILDFLOWER( he is leader of the group and those 2 songs represent his diversity) . If you want to learn more about the rags to riches story of BTS watch the highly entertaining TAYLOR MARI GUIDE TO THE BANGTAN 7. ... it is the only guide that shows you not only the facts but the personalities and synergy that allowed this group to live together for most of the last 10 years. The culture of excellence that allowed their rise to success despite everything stacked against them except the belief of BANG PD. The caricature on the banner. These naturally hilarious and extremely talented super group. Considering they perform in multiple languages and genre ...boy band is a bit reductive. They are all at present doing or starting their mandatory army service. 💜
Origin story of that scar can be found in Amygdala, the final instalment of the Agust D trilogy after Haegeum. These are his way of working through some trauma. Coming out of the other side through a door in both the music video and the final act of his solo around the world tour. Thank you for taking the time to check this out. It changed my life for real when I saw this in 2020.
lol you crack me up... love your reaction loved your interpretation of the lyrics and the music video, well done Suga/Agust D is one of the rappers in BTS he is very good you should check out more of his music
To be fair AgustD is more of talking about rappers who uses pill to get high to do their mumble rap 😊. Also yes it's a battle between himself. A ruthless king VS a well respected boss. Seems like the boss won for now but is the king really dead? (Using his own words)🤭
Daechwita is a traditional Korean march, played for political events at the time of kings, army or king movements, etc. The two characters are Suga Rei and Sugar from the lower class. Ruler Suga is a tyrant who kills people who have grievances or are considered opponents. Suga from the lower class, appears with six friends (BTS mention) and there is also a woman sitting in the tent, who gives him the car keys (Army mention). Poor Sugar starts the revolution by going with the car to face the tyrant Suga. We also see the drawing of Bang Si-hyuk, ('creator' of BTS), at the moment that poor Suga arrives by car to face the tyrant king. He challenges the system. King Suga arrests and sentences poor Suga to death. And he, bound and kneeling, continues singing Daechwita (Daechwita being a song that is sung when the king is present. Is the poor Suga the true king?). The people who were prostrate in the courtyard now agree with poor Suga, all nodding to the sound of Daechwita. Finally, the executioner who was supposed to kill poor Suga also joins the revolt, frees him and gives him a weapon, with which he kills the tyrant king. Metaphor: the lower class 'overthrowing the system', mentions BTS that started as a small group, discriminated against, from a small bankrupt company, which was despised and disdained, but which ended up becoming the biggest Korean group in kpop, true kings about the game. At the time of the dynasties there was a strong separation between social classes and slaves were considered nothing. The poor would never become part of the elite. Today BTS is the elite, but it was a difficult achievement, with a lot of 'blood, sweat and tears'. And who gave them the 'key' to start the revolution was the Army. BTS 'brought down' the dominant system of the Korean music industry, as they continue to do until now, breaking down the arrogance and prejudice of the world's music industry. ua-cam.com/video/JayEtmyXVpo/v-deo.html - explanation
I Love watching this MV after knowing specific info on Suga. In real life his grandmother was the last empress of Korea before japanese occupation. That would also mean his great grandfather was king and great grandmother was queen. He grew up in the mountains.
Agust D is incredible, he is a member of BTS, he is a producer, composer and lyricist, the guy is a genius, he comes from the bottom, all the members of BTS come from the bottom with nothing but dreams and hopes, but they turned destiny around and today they are the most influential artists and group. Thank you for the reaction 💜
Agust D is fucking fire ! I can't stop listening to his music, his name is min yoongi, and he has another name Suga (spelled as Shuga), he is a member of the biggest group BTS I recommend you listen to “ON” I recommend you “ugh” “give it to me“ “ Tony Montana”“shadow”“ haegeum” “the last” “ Agust D “ “amygdala”
Suga as a teenager went against his parents wishes to pursue music and moved from a province to the capitol. He was selling songs but constantly got ripped off and often struggled with a choice whether to buy a meal or a bus back home. When he was training for debut, at the same time studying and working as delivery boy, a car hit crashing his shoulder. His history is really inspiring. The story behind the MV is quite deep actually You can check out or react to "BTS DDaeng" rap and "DDaeng explained by Korean" at once
Their love for music, passion for dancing, and desire for a perfect performance ultimately keeps them together, with humility, perseverance, and utmost discipline and care for each other. We stay together ARMY × BTS 💜💜💜
Loved your reaction, especially to the very end plot twist! Thank you for watching! BTS is amazing, the rapline is amazing. Please keep checking them out!
South Korea doesn't have a king/Emperior and hasn't for a long time now but they did have a royal family. Yes he's international they put put 3.9bullion US Dollars ( I've no idea how much that is in Korean currency) into the South Korean Economy. They are in the same league as Samsung and Hyundi cars. Yes it is the same person this is him battling with the 2 side's of his personally. The scar is not real but it represents the scar's within him at that time.
Actually, the last king of Joseon (now known as Korea) died in 1928 as a prisoner of the Japanese. The entire royal family was taken to Japan as hostages during the Japanese occupation of the Korean Peninsula 1910-1945. That might seem like a long time ago to you, but it was less than 100 years.
Thanks for reacting to my nias Suga from the rapline. I suggests to watch The Guide To BTS. You will be introduced to everyone and how they struggled from the bottom to make it where they are now.
The pill part actually refers to people to turn to drugs or rely on drugs to make music. He would never talk badly about medicines that are meant for people to feel physically or mentally better. I recommend you to watch a lyric breakdown of the song by DKDK TV because he uses a lot of traditional Korean symbolisms that are difficult for foreigners to understand. Suga is an amazing musician, his music, his lyrics, everything is on another level. In fact, all of the 7 members of the group for that matter. If you check out all of the BTS members solos, you won't even believe that they're from the same group because that is how diverse and unique their styles are.
Wait till you hear the rest of the bts members albums and songs they are absolutely versatile and diverse you gotta see jungkooks Golden album its all in English and it'll take to you on a roller-coaster of emotions
I LOVE your reaction here! You pay actual attention to the lyrics and details and take the time to talk through everything. So many ppl make BTS reaction videos for clout but you actually put in a lot of effort here. We appreciate it so much and absolutely love your enthusiasm! Thank you so much for sharing! 💜💜
Suga is one of the top rappers in Korea. AGUST D is Daegu town, Suga's hometown, and Suga spelled backward. ❤ Look more into Suga's past and you'll find out just how bad it was. 😢
Every time I hear the song Snooze by suga I cry hard, this song is very deep, It appears that BTS is different from the rest of the singers or the idols, this song is directed to the Armys, and they are the band fans, since they are all going to the military, every time I feel like I'm crashing out, I hear this song, It's one of the songs that touch me the most strongly, they are talented, very extraordinary and special
Fyi. Min Yoongi, aka Suga aka AgustD is of the Min clan, ie, the Min Dynesty. His grwat great great??? Grandmother was the last queen of the Min Dynesty ( driven out by the Japanese).
Can you react to RM's 'joke'. You will definitely vibe with it... The flow the lyrics the beats everything is a masterpiece. BTS is known for the rap and vocals
The guy that bumped into him is Jin from.BTS and the guy that punched Jin is JK from BTS. He has an album out now called Golden and just did a remix of one of the song Standing Next to You with Usher and a remix of his other song 3D with Justin Timberlake with
In all my years of wtaching people react to the rap line of BTS i have never seen someone understand the meaning behind one of their songs/music videos so fast. This video was honestly a breath of fresh air! Golf claps all around!!!
Amygdala is really hard to watch since it's Suga's true life story.. it's so heartbreaking but such an amazing story as he fought so hard and rose above all that.. I'm so very proud of him, proud of all 7 members 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
When Yoongi says about popping pills he's not talking about medications, I feel the need to say you took the complete wrong meaning of that because Yoongi would never judge someone for taking needed medication even if it's something only for temporary pain relief, he's not the type of person to believe it makes someone weak. The popping pills was in reference to recreational drugs and the reliance some artists have on them to be creative, Yoongi was saying he doesn't need to take drugs to make art.
bro had to pull up when that claat drop a grung. i was like ooooooo a yardi found my boys. tuned in to see where you heading fam. thanks for the honest reaction. if you can check out all the members. 4 vocalists and 3 rappers all with different styles, muses and genres.
💜Those two dudes that Agust D bumps into at the beginning of the video and then fight are actually members of BTS. Jungkook and Jin, if I'm not mistaken.
You should check out “rap monster joke” he is the leader of bts and goes by the name RM and joke is a sort of like a diss track because before he debut under bts he was a underground rapper and once he joined the idol groups he got a lot of hate from the underground community and they labeled him as a “sellout” and not a “real rapper” so joke is pritty much him just talking his ish and proving everyone wrong
I liked this reaction, I love when people are willing to do a little research while they watch. I don’t understand the ones that just don’t bother to learn anything and rely on their comments.
The despot ruler and the unruly gangster … both kings in their own right, flip side of same coin. Both demand respect and reverence and use violence to achieve their objective, or just because they’re bored. Great video, I have watched it way too many times in the past two years.
3:41 - Subscribed right here, bro. Min Yoongi has been through some shit and it didn't break him. He soldiered on through trauma to triumph. I found your channel through your Pete & Bas reaction (Stepped Into The Building, next track from them should be either Browns or Longthorne Shotgun). I love how much you're picking up from context, breaking it all down.
Agust D/Suga is a member of BTS. It's "Suga" spelt bsckwards, and "Daegu Town'' initials (dt), so Agust D. Also, in the beginning, when one dude punched the other dude, it was 2 other BTS members that got to be in the background. Jin was the one with the beard, Jungkook was the one who punched him. (Suga is pronounced as "Shoo-guh")
Look for Haegeum and Amygdala. Daechwita is part of a trilogy its begin with Daechwita then Haegeum and last Amygdala. ... You'll love his work and the rap line of BTS are just fire. And with a little research that hurts no one a new Army has born people 😂
Forget biggest boy band, BTS are the biggest group in the world.
I'm still processing the news that for the next 6 months all 7 will be taken away from us. We await Jin's return on June 12, 2024.

If you liked that, check out the second MV from the Agust D trilogy linked to this song. It's called Haegeum. The third song is Amygdala. It completes a personal story for him.
Amygdala gives me goosebumps every time I hear it!!
It's like the story is going backwards. Amygdala when I heard that I would have cried if I wasn't on antidepressants. Such a good song

This was a great reaction to one of my favorites! "Daechwita" is the Korean word for an ancient genre of music that was played in Korea whenever the king or his armies were in public; the music announced the royal presence to the people - so Suga is saying "I'm the king, play that music for me"
You nailed it - it's a battle against himself. The greedy king Suga vs. the humble Suga...the scar has a story all its own through two more videos related to this one: "Haegum" and "Amygdala"
In this song Suga is calling out Korean rappers who say they take drugs to 'get their creative juices flowing'...a lot of westerners think Suga is referring to all rappers, including American rappers, but he's not -- He's lived his whole life in Korea and worked entirely in the Korean music scene and in Korean underground hip-hop, so his comments are always about the people he observes around him in Korea
Suga is not against medications for real physical and mental issues - he's openly rapped about his own struggles with depression, social anxiety, OCD, and treatment of the chronic pain he suffered for a decade after a car accident
Its so funny😂
HE'S INDEED A KING OF OUR GENERATION 💜👑
I'm thankfull to live at the same time of him and the other members of BTS 💜
PS: English is not my first language. Please, excuse the mistakes. 💜
it's not Sugar it's Shoo Ga. as in shooting guard. it was his position when he played basketball.
Agust D is suga spelled backwards and DT is his hometown.
And Suga is an official NBA Ambassador...see his clothing line with NBA.
Thanks for explanation I finally understand
*Suga aka Agust D's Trilogy: and Meanings for the song titles*
*Daechwita* (2020) - is a genre of Korean traditional music consisting of military music played by wind and percussion instruments, generally performed while the ARMY is marching or as a static performance usually when the King is arriving. (Suga aka Agust D meant the BTS ARMY to be implied.)
*Haegeum* (2023) - has two meanings. The first, it's a traditional Korean string instrument, resembling a vertical fiddle with two strings, usually played at Royal Court. Also, it means to lift a ban, or release what is forbidden.
Agust D - Haegeum (turn on CC's) - ua-cam.com/video/iy9qZR_OGa0/v-deo.html
*Amygdala* (2023) - is an almond shaped part of our brain which is commonly thought to form the core of a neural system for processing fearful and threatening stimuli, including detection of threat and activation of our fight or flight response. The amygdala helps to store memories of events and emotions so that an individual may be able to recognize similar events in the future.

Nice synopsis of Agust D’s work💜
@@MISSDEE1353 😊💜
BTS is part of the k-pop industry so it counts as k-pop. (any artist)-pop doesn't exist as official genre
@@ikhebdieishetnietgoeddathe4057 naa it’s BTS-pop and BTS is the industry
2:58 the two guys who are fighting behind him are Jin and Jungkook, two members of BTS
Enjoy!!
You DID NOT just recommend AHL 😂😂😂
@@LittleBrassPegasus YEP, I sure did. It could be helpful to this young man. I know some of it is cringy, but it shows what the guys were willing to go thru to learn more about their craft. I admire them for that. 🫰💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
@@LittleBrassPegasusthe first couple episodes are a bit cringey but it gets better 🤣😂🤣 It's an interesting watch
@@rgober60 uggg I just feel so bad for them in that show. They weren't treated right by too many people. Tony was dope though.
I love t
hem all.
It also gives you more context of Agust D's lyrics:)
I think you might like it, it's a long video but i promise we will watch it til the end. Glad you enjoyed his music, he's my favorite member of the group💜💜
PS: I apologize for grammar mistakes, eng is not my first language.
It's the legends BTS !
these 7 guys mean everything to me, I know it seems stupid.. but I can't handle this .. today I cried a lot, talking about them, ppl I'm proud of
They came into my life 6 years ago, I was so close to dying, knowing that there was no escape, same Cicely of misery, and then they came lmfao, they taught me love, how to smile, and how to move on,iI will wait for them, even if it’s 20 years not 2, I will protect them, the same way they did to me, BTS are my family
love the reaction so far 🥰 thank you for checking out our suga aka AGUSTD 💜💜
i always love when reactors have a question or curious about something, and they immediately do a quick search
instead of not knowing something then ask their viewer to tell them the answer in their comment section just to up their engagement
then througout their whole vids theyre still clueless 🙄
but when i saw u do a quick search immediately just so u got the facts right, i love the reactions even more😍🥰
Suga is relatively quiet or subdued irl.
The scar isn’t real. He is playing both parts. You really need to watch the trilogy.
There is also an explanation video by DKDKTV because this song is full of historical and cultural references. 💜💜💜💜💜
Enjoy.
BTS SONGS SINCE YOU LIKE HIP-HOP:

•Hip-Hop Lover/Phile- BTS song about their rap influences from old school rappers to recent ones,2015

•Born Singer- It’s the BTS adaptation of J. Cole’s Born Sinner they wrote in 2013 but J.Cole gave them permission to release it officially in 2022
•Just One Day-2014, more r&b and soft rap but I thought I should include it bc everyone suddenly learns how to sing in Korean bc it’s so catchy!! Haha
There’s so much more BTS songs that are hip hop influenced and solo work as well. This is just a good starter list if you like hip hop!!!!
This is how I found you. The MASTERPIECE that is Daechwita. It is my absolute favorite mv ever. It bears watching at least a few more times just to notice even more that you missed on the first view. Loved it!
Suga has an amazing story. You need to watch his most recent solo songs…his tour. You will discover his painful experience and how he overcame it all.
The two that got into the fight are his band members Jin and Jungkook.
There is. Two mix tapes and a full album of Agust D so many amazing songs 💜💜💜💜
If you like this Daechwita then try reacting his HAEGEUM its the 2nd song on his trilogy.
HAEGEUM is 🔥🔥🔥
That's the power of
SUGA aka AGUST D
lol you crack me up... love your reaction loved your interpretation of the lyrics and the music video, well done Suga/Agust D is one of the rappers in BTS he is very good you should check out more of his music

Thanks for reacting to amazing Agust D(Suga) He also produced this. Yes it's him playing both roles.
the guys fighting in the back were other members of BTS 😂😂

Agust D is incredible, he is a member of BTS, he is a producer, composer and lyricist, the guy is a genius, he comes from the bottom, all the members of BTS come from the bottom with nothing but dreams and hopes, but they turned destiny around and today they are the most influential artists and group.
Thank you for the reaction 💜
Agust D is fucking fire ! I can't stop listening to his music, his name is min yoongi, and he has another name Suga (spelled as Shuga), he is a member of the biggest group BTS I recommend you listen to “ON”
I recommend you “ugh” “give it to me“ “ Tony Montana”“shadow”“ haegeum” “the last” “ Agust D “ “amygdala”
The story behind the MV is quite deep actually

Interesting about the popping pills, once you get to the third video Amygdala that lines hits different
Fyi. Min Yoongi, aka Suga aka AgustD is of the Min clan, ie, the Min Dynesty. His grwat great great??? Grandmother was the last queen of the Min Dynesty ( driven out by the Japanese).

The people he bumps into at the beginning of the video
are Kim Seokjin and Jeon Jungkook (from BTS and also have there own solo music, CHECK IT OUT)
You have to listen to Agust D to get an understanding of everything it all ties in
When Yoongi says about popping pills he's not talking about medications, I feel the need to say you took the complete wrong meaning of that because Yoongi would never judge someone for taking needed medication even if it's something only for temporary pain relief, he's not the type of person to believe it makes someone weak.

Suga (Agusd is a legend) ❤️
The guys who got into a fight behind him is Jin and Jungkook. Other members of BTS making a cameo 😁
The proverb about koi swimming upstream, thank you I hadn’t heard that. It explained the meaning behind the line.
And with a little research that hurts no one a new Army has born people 😂
I like how you focused on the lyrics, when others reacted they were more focused on the video or just the beat. thanks!!
This is the funniest reaction to this song. I was laughing so hard, hardly heard a word he said except the "hold ups" haha 🤣
BTS rap line is freaking savage.. I'm 58 Army, check out BTS UGH or ddaeng!
Also you should check out Taylor Mari guide to BTS💜💜💜💜💜
