Note to Jon Bon Jovi: @ 19:37 or 29:11 see CJ Snare You should be proud. Only the old lead singer of Journey, Steve Perry, can compare. Your father is one of the PHENOMENAL rock singers of our time. (And I'm not sure even Steve Perry could compare these days.) CJ is absolutely AMAZING.
I'll be 62 yrs old this year. (I still feel 30.) I've followed a lot of rock bands thru the years and Shinedown became a favorite in the last 15 yrs. I've been thru Motley Crue, Def Leppard, Aerosmith, plus a country era I went thru .. and after all this time and all the bands I've lived thru..Firehouse will go down as my #1 favorite band. I KNOW if they had gotten signed into the scene sooner they would have been insanely famous. The timing sucked... but I'm glad they got discovered and are still touring today to bless us still with their amazing talent. Thank you for posting this!
Damn he got his voice back! I remembered during their 2010's performances, CJ seems to have a health condition that he struggled to hit his high notes. And as a fan, i am happy to know that he still got it and sounds even better than before.
He doesn’t have any health issues but it’s just like me he didn’t sing for awhile and he forgot how he got that sound and rythum. I haven’t sang in a few years and I have issues because it’s true when you don’t use it you forget how you did it. And as we get older our voice change’s again but not like when we were 14/15 years old but it does change and I’ve found if you practice it’s a lot easier to be someplace warm and no humidity or very little because it helps your sinuses and they really mess with you as you get older and especially when you don’t have teeth and he has implants but I cannot afford to get them so my sinuses are crazy with humidity. But I’ve learned to sing with out teeth and you can’t really even tell. But ya if you don’t sing and practice your going to have a rough time figuring out how to get your sound back. I have been told I’ve got a bon Scott voice and I sound like the original skid row and the original warrant. But they can’t tell if it’s the radio or a cd when I sing to bon Scott I’m my biggest cridect so I was secretly recorded singing some old ac/dc and I thought it was a CD but it was recorded on a SD card so I wouldn’t know but I still don’t believe it lol 😂
August 1992 - a few days before I left for my freshman year of college - me and a couple buddies saw Firehouse open for Tesla at World Music Theater in Chicago burbs. My one bud kept telling me that Firehouse would steal the show and I scoffed, as Tesla was maybe my fav band at the time. I can't say they "stole" the show, but they ROCKED! Saw them again in the early-mid 2000's in a bar and they killed it then, too. Ever since they've been one of my favs. CJ Snare is nuts with that voice, and Bill Leverty is a guitar wizard, up there with the technical greats but people don't realize it b/c of the "Sleaze Rock" nature of the band. totally awesome shit, thanks for posting!!

Still an amazing band. Back in 98 or 99, I caught them opening up for BOC in a smaller bar/club in upstate NY. I was lucky enough to enjoy BOC on the side of the stage with Firehouse guys and they were so in awe of Buck, rolling their eyes and their faces dropping in amazement at The Maestro. Hung out a bit after the show...Bill L. was a really nice guy.

I hear ya'. Rock Fest shows exactly what you are talking about. The Main Stage had some not-so-good bands, and the side stages had some bands like Firehouse, Lita Ford, Warrant, etc.
??? What? Go back and listen to the original recordings. He sounds 95% as good as he did 30 years ago, which is usually not the case with most bands from the 80's and 90's.
