MAJOR AND IMPORTANT UPDATE (8th of April 2024): The lead singer of FireHouse, C.J. Snare died at the age of 64, on the 5th of April 2024, due to a heart attack while he was battling cancer. I know how sad, shocking and unexpected it is. We did not know that this is going to happen. I am sorry to those who are heartbroken, especially his family, his fans, including the ones here in Shillong. Sorrowful comments have been made in this video. Thank you commenters for showing your grief to this unexpected news. Life is always like that. There is no way to stop death. May his soul rest in peace. C.J. Snare (1959-2024) ✝️

The American rock band, FireHouse performs a live concert in Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium/Polo Ground, Shillong, Meghalaya, India on the 11th of December 2004.

I found this footage from a Video Compact Disc (Video CD/VCD), and it is transferred from Betamax (or any other recording format) to VCD, I guess. There are a few audio and video dropouts maybe because the original broadcast tape/disc (or any other recording format) is slightly damaged, but it plays without dropouts on some media players like Windows Media Player. Saw others upload this video but some of them, only uploaded the footage where they performed the song, 'I Live My Life for You' while the others uploaded a specific part of the footage in low-quality so because they did not have the full footage, I uploaded this video. The footage I uploaded is also low-quality because I uploaded this video directly from the VCD to UA-cam without remastering or editing it. For unknown reasons, the audio is mono (not stereo/not dual channel). Maybe while UA-cam is converting the video from ‘.DAT’ to ‘.mp4,’ it left out any one of the sound channels or converted it to mono. Will try to remaster and edit this video and convert the sound to stereo.

For most people in Meghalaya, it is exciting for foreigners to come to Meghalaya, especially to Shillong. Most people get goosebumps when they see known foreigners like singers. I also posted this video indirectly so that more viewers will learn about Meghalaya and Shillong because Meghalaya is less known by most foreigners.

I think this is 2008 12 December. Whitelion reach Shillong on 9 December and Firehouse on the 10. I still remember they were both interviewed by RJ AB in Ooo la la 91.5 Shillong. Before that, Petra performed live in Shillong in 2005, MLTR in 2006 and Scorpion in 2007. Poor Shillong couldn't keep the official recording of the live stage performance which were so underrated than those of Tokyo and others.
Shillong was really pretty innocent those days being decorated with concert in every winter and every Christmas preparation was so meaningful and successful.
Visiting the Shillong city those days was really a great time especially entering the Wellcome/Exit Entrance at Umïam, Mawïong, Mawlai. I just want to turn back time!
You are mistaken because, in the 2004 concert, the lead singer was wearing a red shirt while in the 2008 concert, he was wearing a black shirt. Secondly, the FireHouse logo is big in the 2004 concert while in the 2008 concert, the logo is small. Lastly, the songs (like, 'All She Wrote') were sung in the evening, not in the afternoon or morning. You are also mistaken for the FM frequency of Radio Oolala. It is not 91.5MHz, it is 91.9MHz (Most websites say that it's 91.9MHz while very few websites say that it's 91.5MHz, so please correct me in case I'm wrong; plus, Radio Oolala does not exist anymore.) and you're also mistaken with the concert date of Petra because Petra was the first international band to perform in Meghalaya, so the concert date of Petra is before the 13th of December 2004.
@@kki3419 you may be right with Petra concert because I was too young that time. And everything I mentioned here is according to what I remembered! But everyone was saying there was an international band performing in 2004 but not Petra. And the radio station you've said is of Gauhati and now both of them are gone. And by the way, 91.5 was the most popular radio station in Shillong those days and if you're aware of Rudi as Rudolph Mawlong, Captain G as Guidingstar Dympep who was also my school teacher. In the 2008 concert, Firehouse claimed that 2008 was their first time reaching Shillong. I am not depending on any of your research on Google about it.
This is their maiden show in shillong because the second concert Chris Green was on the guitars, Bill was not there
