Good question! Imagine a person with a dark void inside his heart. That would be someone who has not come to Christ. Now imagine another person with brilliant heavenly light inside his heart. That person has come to Christ and received the light of Christ into his heart. These supernatural things happen in the spirit realm so you cannot always tell just by looking at someone. The things of the heart are hidden, but do manifest in one’s words and actions. The way to become a “believer” is to BELIEVE! In John 6:29 Jesus said, “Your work is to believe.” It’s very simple such that a little child can do it. With your heart you choose to believe what the Scripture says and what Jesus taught: that Jesus Christ is Lord, that he was crucified for your sins, that God raised him from the dead to give you new life, and that when you ask him be your Savior and Lord, he will gladly enter your heart and live there forever provided you stay in the Faith believing. He wants you in believing to surrender and exchange your life for his life. In other words, he wants to live his life through you. If you are seeking a friend who sticks closer than a brother, then you have found that in Jesus Christ Prov 18:24. As you choose to believe and continue believing, seeking Him, growing closer to him and letting him lead you in life, he will naturally and gradually live his life through you more and more each season.
