Today I'm in Bristol taking on Bare Grills' undefeated BBQ challenge. It would probably be easier to itemise what isn't on this thing, rather than what is; but it's essentially a ton of BBQ favourites...Brisket, ribs, wings, hot links, burnt ends, pulled pork, two different types of loaded fries, onion rings, corn, bread rolls and...as if that weren't enough...a huge burger too!

Q: How come you don’t get fat?
A: I eat like this for 1 hour of a 168 hour long week. In simple terms, I eat at caloric maintenance over the course of time, meaning I don’t gain weight. If you're interested in learning more, see the 'It Was Just A Normal Day...' video.
Q: Don’t you worry about your health?
A: Not in particular. I’m active. I eat nutrient dense foods five days a week. And, I get quarterly bloods done, amongst other health checks.

I think it almost had him. Tbh, those disgusting half-raw industrial bread rolls were just unfair.
The fact that he ate all that, with another one still in his gut from the day before, is mind blowing. Very impressive.
I wonder if he had to get help from Senna later?
@@LebrunQueaf it looks like it was just mostly starch / sides, and like 1 portion of ribs, some pull pork, and a burger. Probably $20 for the ribs, burger, and pull pork probably cost $15 each. So meat is probably $45, then the fries probably cost like $10 each, and the corn, onion rings, bread is probably what usually comes with the meat portions. So I would say that only looks about $65.

They definitely added more fries for sure, and more heft to the stacked burger, compared to the photo. Just one of those bowls poured out was about three quarters of the total fries in the photo, so they gave you 1.5x the amount of total fries as compared to the photo. Probably even added more to the burnt ends, shredded pork, and other piles of meat. A damn shame some of these restaurants feel the need to try and cheat with their challenges. You did great Beard!

I understand a challenge isn't meant to be easy but I feel the 2 bread rolls are there to try and guarantee failure for participants. The 2 bowls of chips is plenty enough starch and if a guy who does this for a living only just managed it then its definitely too big and should be trimmed a little. Just get rid of the nasty bread rolls, they looked like them shit part baked ones and it only serves to make great looking food becomes average as they lower the tone so to speak

Its an insane challenge because of the sides. Corn on the cob, "two" sets of fries (more like 6) and two bread rolls. Feels kind of inflated.
This one just looks amazing from beginning to end. No chance I could even make it through a 1/4 of this.

That Beard did a challenge the day before this one makes this result even more incredible and explains why dessert options weren't explored.

$45 for 7 million views is the best advertisement deal ever done in advertisement for a restaurant ever.

If a backyard griller can make better BBQ, I may have to disagree. I felt so bad for Beard. Those ribs were the driest, toughest, ribs I've ever seen. I made ribs a couple of months ago and they certainly did not take that much effort to clean the bone.

@@snallygaster5 no.... It's literally always cold or raining here 😂 we get like a week of nice weather here in summer for bbqs. And MOST people just grill sausages, burgers and maybe some chicken skewers or drumsticks. Typically it's not food that requires a lot of work

Can't find a reason for those bread rolls apart from messing you and making you fail the challenge.
Aesthetic of the picture should be the main reason. Look at 2:26, It's a tray of yellow starch on the left and a tray of red meat on the right. And the spacing looks fairly loose on the left.

Just watched this one.. Love all of your videos. This one had me wondering if you were gonna make it. The only thing that was going through my head at the end was "I bet he doesn't ask for dessert".
It reminds me of how i felt one night around 25 years ago. I'd been taken out on a Saturday evening by my mother and her other half for food somewhere in Nidderdale. I had a baked camembert to start. Followed by the largest mixed grill I personally have ever seen. I finished with a tiramasu that could have fed four people.
Then I got home and found myself with an insatiable thirst from the salty meats. BUT I was so stuffed I had no space left. Seriously, no space at all. I hurt. It was a very long night indeed. I haven't had a mixed grill since.

Dick move on the restaurant to put not only two giant servings of loaded fries but also two dense loaves of bread in what otherwise looked like a delicious challenge. I think it was a cheap shot, but you still pulled through like a champ. Great job!

There’s no way this is meant to be done in 1 hour, one of the best competitive eaters in the world took almost an hour himself. There’s no way any more then 50 people in the whole world could’ve finished that.
