This was one of the first things I did when I started my fight against chrome/silver accents. I used a small screw driver (this was before I got trim removal tools) to pry each tab off of the rings. Not easy and there are some little divots but the plastidip has held strong for 5 yrs now!
Enjoy your mod updates. Call me old fashioned, I guess at 55 I am a young senior now, but I really like the stock silver bezel rings on my 15’ 2 wheel drive access cab. Mind you I am happy to be enjoying my 7th Toyota truck. My first bunch of vehicles ( non Toyota’s ) cost less than the $350 per year insurance. Must say I had a look at a 20’ Taco access cab 4wd and I kind of liked it, but at $46k my truck is looking really awesome.
Just traded in my ‘14 Tundra Crew for a ‘15 Tacoma Double and loving it so far. Your videos are very helpful and make me excited to start doing some of the mods you have done on the channel. Thank You Sir
From boring silver to flat black? Thought I was gonna hate it but it actually turned out great. If I ever rip the dash out for anything else I’ll do this.
I really enjoy the content you put up. I will be doing the gage cluster and center console trim as you did. Flat black looks really great too. I am curious as to what lift you went with for the rear end, blocks or leaf spring? And why you went with the option you did.
Thanks for watching Zachary! I actually have a shock relocation with OME leafsprings in the back for 12" of suspension travel. Here's the install vid for the relocation: ua-cam.com/video/Rc7Fl549_E0/v-deo.html
@@Tacomaholic thank you, I'll check that out. I put rancho struts on the front with lift to level my truck out and rancho shock absorbers in the rear with longer travel to compensate for the lift. I'm wanting to get rid of the blocks in the rear and move to leaf springs, so I just wanted to see what you went with!
An yes, that looks really nice. I was hoping you would go with black instead of metallic. I have a 3rd gen and recently removed the instrument bezel. I found that extending the telescopic wheel helps too.
@@Tacomaholic Really, my 2014 AC off road has telescoping and tilt. I know this is probably seems almost insulting but have you tried pulling when the lever is released, mine was stiff at first.

i might do this, and whats the next mod? i am guessing has to do with tunes, trust me it takes time for that. what i mean is before i even bought tacoma was toying with idea about new tunes. and yet here we are 6 months later and still look daily. i fight with self on which way to go.
looks good! im thinking of painting all of my silver pieces flat black as well. Good looking out on these videos man, i dont think there is another tacoma youtuber as thorough! 90% of the changes ive made to my 2014 were inspired by a simple mod you posted. Im afraid of the day you run out of mods lol
Tacomaholic thats good to hear! i keep a playlist of the affordable ones and when those are accomplished ill look at the bigger ones. Hey did you keep your previous lift or sell it?
Tacomaholic were you running 886 coils? im trying to find a good driving quality lift as im mostly on pavement. i dont know that i want it to be super stiff, any recommendations?
I took it down because I completely forgot to mention something important in the vid and youtube's algorithms nail you if you re-upload a vid too soon after taking it down. I'll hold onto it for now for a rainy day.
I hate gage clusters, they get dusty and are hard to clean...A friend has a Ram that has all the gages under one glass, easy to clean...Are you listening Toyota.

I just bout an 07 and trust me every single one of your vids has been a godsend. Thanks and bless ya
By far you are the best Tacoma mods channel on UA-cam. nahh... probably anywhere

This will definitely be next on my list. Good Video, thanks!
Super helpful can’t wait to see what is next on the paint run. KEEP IT GOING!

Thanks for watching Steve! I'm always here if you have questions.
Love it. Can’t wait to get mine off next week and redo most of the bulbs, steering wheel panels, and covers.

Looks good Brian now you got to do the silver on the tweeters🤗
Looks awesome
Love that steering wheel it looks nice 🔥🔥

A telescoping wheel would really help alot. My 2014 doesn't have that though.

@@sanchezzz1 Lol I just tried it and I feel like an idiot. Had my Tacoma since the summer of 2014 and never realized the wheel did that.
@@Tacomaholic Hey you've helped me and given us lots of inspiration over the years, I'm glad I could give back haha

Love the wheel and this mod! Where did you get your wheel and seats?
Thanks Andrew! I did separate vids for the wheel ( ua-cam.com/video/3vhCGI6moYY/v-deo.html ) and the seats ( ua-cam.com/video/neGUEcuWveI/v-deo.html )
Excellent
Do you put the clips back on when you reinstall the rings?
Yep
Do you have a video about your steering wheel?
Yessir: ua-cam.com/video/3vhCGI6moYY/v-deo.html
I thought you were going with red, looks great with no chrome.
I was considering doing them in red but thought the black looked better in the end.
After you get tired of doing all those mods, you can always sell me your truck😏
Steering wheel? Is it from a Corolla sport?
Corolla iM but the Sport might share the same wheel: ua-cam.com/video/3vhCGI6moYY/v-deo.html
Where did you get your steering wheel?!!!
This vid's got all the good info 😀 ua-cam.com/video/3vhCGI6moYY/v-deo.html
After re watching this I'm kinda surprised you didn't accent with the orange.
I'm feeling more of a blacked out theme for the interior.
@@Tacomaholic I'm digging the blackout theme
How come your Tie Rod video is showing as Private?

Why not paint them in the truck using paintbrush or air brush?
Samuel Comer u do that and let us know how it goes
Too easy.

Dude you have a notice me and my Toyota syndrome. You should paint your car to be more noticeable.
