I got an 81 longbed pickup w/22R in the garage ready for teardown. Up here in Denver was planning to do a turbo. Been following you for a bit and love the builds.
@@Y2daT420 moving to Montana next month where going to finish the build. Down here because it's an 81was subject to emissions. Up there I can put in the LS motor now and really spice it up.
Excelente video muchas gracias por compartir. Hermoso motor, Tengo una pregunta. ¿Se puede utilizar el mismo sistema de escape en un motor 22r sin modificaciones? Muchas gracias
Hey Walter, we plan on starting a patron page for videos like this where guys can help support us and we can put things together for them on a private basis
If its not totally needed then dont recommend it. If you do decide to do it you have to be sure it is a quality piece that does not hinder oil flow or create a restriction.
What is the Rpm @ idle? I have a similar setup! & also I have idle problems up & down. Carbs & linkage is ok! Lc engineering say vacuum leak. But no vacuum leak. Could it be the distributor? Way back i changed the spring, got from north west off road. Recurve kit! Do I need a new distributor? Or weld it up like You did? Hope you can answer! Thx Terry from Maui Hawaii.
MY $.02 is you could need to rejet . or fine tune the carb A/F mix screws . a lean pilot circuit can cause fast idle.. a sighn of a lean pilot circuit is backfire during deceleration. ( of course timing will make a difference .. ) also the 2 vaccum lines that origonally traveled from the distribitor to the oem carb . at minium one is needed . to connect to a carb port that engages after you start to accelerate .. the other ( some people delete) goes directly to manifold vaccum. ( im not the toyota guru but do have a 85 22r in a minirv .. with header and 2.25" all the way .. and a old analog msd ignition box .. ect.. if you buy a distributor the HEI models is like having a MSD built in to the distributor . the crawler crowd love them .. .. hopefully the PSI gvuyys will chime in soon.. good luck ..
@@Y2daT420 Thx for the info. I ran leaner jets. I have to check on the distributor! I think that is my issue! How about returning fuel line to the gas tank is that recommended? Thanks for the advice! Terry
Cool tech tip on distributor....🤙
Thank you, gives everyone a idea on how they can modify them and get rid of the vacuum advance

love to see that one ..

Fun to watch for people with a couple or three 22r. All of this is out of my range but fun to watch
Thanks for watching
Hi any advice on what kind of inyectors
Beautiful truck & build, some excessive work & parts for a very simple basic tractor engine. Look forward to more content great video & editing.
Thank you, owner always goes all out. Truck is so much fun to drive!
You locked out the vacuum advance, but are you still using the mechanical advance springs, or is it fully locked down for total timing?
It is 100% locked out. No vacuum advance and we just set it to max timing as we rev the engine to about 3000 rpm's.
Awesome build keep em coming
Thank you Mike, definitely lots more to come!

Buenas y gracias, es mejor si puede poner un tubo mas grande para el escape
@@psiracing muchísimas gracias 🙌 esperamos más actualizaciones buenas en motores 22R/E 🔥🔥
Can u do a video on how to tune the dual webbers please? Or do you sell a video? Im sure people would love to learn from a pro like yourself. Thank u

Gotta love them old school setup 🦾🏁🏁
Me acuerdo del 22R , 20R ,8R ,3R tremendos tiempos
Si, son de los old school de verdad
Your thoughts on a remote oil filter?
Just looking for easier oil changes

@@psiracing Thanks!
I like kens car and truck 👍👍
Do u guys sell truck or cars like that or just bring to ur guys to build?
Most of the time a customer will bring us a car and we will do a full rebuild

Nice Jobs u guys do to those
lovely noises!
Them 45 weber carb noises are the best
what would be a reasonable price to have a machine shop rebuild one of these?
That's a very broad question. Way to many variables involved
what is "ktoock.. ktoock.. ktoock" sound in idle?? normal sounds of 22r or something wrong?
Beautiful headers💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽 how can i purchase 1 ?????? Ill get 1 asap
Working on trying to get a jig setup so we can duplicate them
I would like to purchase one.
What Fuel Pump are you running ? Did you get to jet the carbs and take it to a Dyno?
Yes we had to jet the carbs, we never dynoed it becasue the owner just has to much fun driving it. LOL
What fuel pump did you use for the Webers.
Please tell me what wheels those are. Those are perfect for my 86.
Man that's a good question, I would need to ask the owner
so what numbers does it make?
We never dynoed it, honestly owner doesnt even care, he loves just driving it
What are the advantages of running dual Webers?
And what is the manifold called?
Whats the alternator setup ? Late 80's corolla?
We use a 83 Corolla, has a built in voltage regulator

We never dynoed it, we hope to 1 day
How can i purchase a header???????

🙌🏼🙌🏼👍🏼👍🏼
May i purchase custom headers like urs if possible lol. Ty lmk
Wheel info please..
I gotta ask the owner and let ya know what they are
How does a build like this run on a 22R engine to get rebuilt ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ just wondering
